Srovnání úrovně znalostí pravopisu žáků 1. a 2. stupně ZŠ / The student's orthographic skills on primary and lower-secondary schools

Jelínek, Ivo January 2021 (has links)
(in English): This diploma thesis focuses on how spelling is taught as a part of Czech language lessons at primary schools. The thesis aims to describe the level of spelling knowledge in students attending first and lower secondary schools, and it also attempts to compare their performance. Attention is first paid to the essential theoretical framework of the Czech language, its spelling, and teaching in Czech. The possibilities of evaluating spelling knowledge in Czech language lessons are highlighted. For the practical part, a survey was performed at a primary school in Kolín, and a total of 84 pupils attending grades four to eight were selected. The participants were presented with several spelling exercises in three different formats: dictation, gap fills, and error correction. The collected data were analysed and compared. The findings suggest that the pupils' spelling knowledge reaches only an average level, and it is, therefore, necessary to pay more attention to spelling practice. With specific phenomena, better results were recorded in the 7th and 8th grades than with younger pupils.

Kozák, Jaromír January 2022 (has links)
Multilingualism is currently a much discussed topic, especially abroad. The objective of this thesis is to examine whether and eventually how multilingualism affects the process of learning Czech as a second language within Erasmus+ language courses. The language skills of both the lecturers and the students of these courses meet the EU language policy requirement to master at least two foreign languages. In the theoretical framework of the thesis, the terms multilingualism and bilingualism are explained, citing mainly foreign scholarly literature. The focus is then shifted to the EU language policy and the current state of research into multilingualism in language teaching. In the last part of the theoretical framework, multilingualism didactics and the communicative approach are introduced. The chief data source for the following empirical research are audio recordings of Czech language courses for Erasmus+ students of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. The data gathered from the classes are then analyzed and interpreted, with a focus on the manifestations of multilingualism. The thesis first deals with English, other foreign languages used in the courses follow. In the closing part, several teaching situations in which the multilingualism didactics is present are introduced, as...

Multiparadigmatická výuka společenských věd na střední škole / Multiparadigmatic Teaching of Social Sciences in High School

Charvát, Štěpán January 2021 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to present a specific type of teaching of social sciences in high school, namely the multiparadigmatic type. In accordance with the multiparadigmatic character of social sciences, this teaching type accentuates the plurality of approaches to a given social topic and does not indoctrinate the learner with one specific approach or paradigm. The theoretical part of this diploma thesis describes the concept of scientific paradigms, mostly on the basis of the findings of philosopher T. S. Kuhn, who addresses this issue in the context of natural sciences. Next, it is explained why the concept of paradigms can be related to social sciences and how these two science areas differ. The multiparadigmatic character of social sciences is then applied to their didactics, where selected methodological aspects of multiparadigmatic teaching are discussed, such as the choice of paradigms, working with them, and the attitude of the teacher. This part of the diploma thesis also illustrates the concepts of monoparadigmatism and multiparadigmatism with the comparison of two didactic manuals and two curricular documents from various environments. Furthermore, it describes the reasons for the employment of multiparadigmatic teaching as well as its conditions and limitations. The...

Preference žáků pro různé typy zoologických objektů ve výuce biologie / Preferences of pupils for different zoological objects in biology lessons

Sailerová, Barbora January 2014 (has links)
The main object of this thesis was to find out whether grammar school students prefer zoological objects in biology lessons presented a) on photo in their natural habitat or b) the real specimen presented in liquid in glass cylinders and burettes. I have chosen these research questions: 1. In which form do pupils prefer zoological objects, the real specimen presented in liquid in glass cylinders or burettes or in their natural habitat on a photograph? 2. How do these preferences differ during the course of their high school study? 3. How do these preferences differ according to gender? 4. Are these preferences influenced by a specific animal? 5. Are these preferences influenced by other factors, e.g. by the appearance and personal experiences with live nature or frequency of using these objects in biology lessons. The research was implemented by using a questionnaire and a preferential test and was given to first and third year students from five Prague high schools. The conclusion of my research study shows that students prefer neither animals on photographs nor the real specimen presented as a liquid preparation. My research did not show that the preferences of the tested students were influenced by any of the tested factors, e.g. type of living, popularity of biology or students' grade in...

Výuka parazitismu na základních a středních školách / Teaching of parasitism in elementary and secondary schools

Čiháková, Kateřina January 2011 (has links)
Main aim of this master thesis is to map the situation of parasitism teaching in elementary and grammar schools. Thats why it contains analysis of reachable elementary and grammar school textbooks - it informs about various kinds of rating the textbooks, which can help both - current and future teachers of biology - to better know and identify reachable textbooks and choose the right ones for the parasitism teaching. It also contains test results of students parasitism knowledge, which are generally very good. Anyway they should learn much more about parazite's manipulation of their host behavior. Other part of my master thesis shows the results of grammar school teachers-filled questionnaires. All questionnaire results (teachers' and students') show that there can be an improvement in parasitism teaching. In next section you can find the Framework Education Programme analysis, own educational programme draft - workbooks, didactic games and powerpoint presentations. Thanks to the realization of teaching the parazites manipulation of their host behavior I found out that students' interest in the topic is quite big so it would be a shame not to share this newly explored area of parasitism with them. Key words: parasite, host, manipulation hypothesis, questionnaires, parasitism teaching
