Didaktika statistiky / Didactics of statistics

The thesis Didactics of statistics is devoted to the problem of understanding of the basic concepts of probability theory and statistics. I have conducted a research in which I studied the understanding of the basic statistical concepts such as average, randomness, chance, variability, and sample by college students. I also studied whether the students are able to work with statistical data, whether they can read values from a chart, identify, and interpret their arithmetic mean. I interpreted the data obtained from the research using the model of the French psychologist Jean Piaget, according to which it is possible to distinguish three stages in the development of a theory, which Piaget named INTRA, INTER and TRANS. My research indicates that students' ideas about the basic statistical concepts are often very different from the ideas of the teacher. There is also interference between the scientific concepts and the similarly sounding terms of the everyday language. It is important that the teacher is aware of these differences and explains them using appropriate examples.

There is described their history, concert activity and their educational use in the first level of basic school.

Vzájemné postavení didaktiky překladu a translatologie / The Relationship of Translation Studies and Translation Didactics

The present dissertation explores the relationship between Translation Studies and translation didactics at theoretical level and as reflected in the teaching practice at selected Czech educational institutions. The dissertation, theoretical-analytical in its orientation, first seeks to define its key terms, profession, didactics, education and training, Translation Studies and translation theory, conducting cross-linguistic comparisons and outlining the past and present thinking about these concepts. Two typologies of translator training are offered, one based on education objectives, the other differentiating between diverse teaching contexts. A special chapter introduces translation didactics as a dynamic component of Translation Studies, discussing current trends in education research and outlining the institutionalization of translator training. Our attempt at defining the content of, and relationship between, Translation Studies and translation theory, the central concepts of the present work, suggested terminological and conceptual disagreement. The following chapters discuss the strongly multidisciplinary nature of today's Translation Studies, and the manifold sources thereof, pointing out the risks this may create to the internal coherence and public image of the discipline. The presented master's thesis is concerned with the topic of the revised version of Bloom's taxonomy and its implementation to second language teaching with regards to its higher levels through the use of different activating methods of teaching. The aim of this thesis is to, with the support of academic literature, consider the role of the activating methods in language teaching and their potential relationship to the revised taxonomy. Based on these findings it is later aimed to present suggestions applicable in practice about how to combine these two instruments with regards to Spanish language teaching. The thesis includes a research done through a questionnaire which aims to map the teachers' knowledge of the activating teaching methods and the potential means of using them while teaching.

The aim of this dissertation is verification of the exercise skills level of gymnastics at basic schools. The historical development of gymnastics is described in the introductory part. The theoretically-methodical part deals with the aims and tasks of the dissertation, as well as the analysis of the methods used for the verification and also the analysis of the literature which was drawn from. The representative pieces of knowledge are elaborated in the analytic part. The results of measurements and charts are dealt in the synthetic part, which consists of the numerousness of result points, the representation of result points in the particular disciplines and the survey of the successfulness in the particular school grades.
