Title: Non-verbal expressions in the students' didactical outputs at the Charles University, the Faculty od Physical Education and Sport in the subject Theory and basics of swimming didactics Purpose: The aim of this diploma thesis is to consider the degree of selected aspects of the non-verbal expressions in the studens' didactical outputs at the Charles University, the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport and to evaluate non-verbal differences between males and famales and between students with more focus on swimming and those who only participated in swimming lesson obligatory. Methods: Observation and video analyzing methods were used for the reserch of the selected aspects. The analysis of the video recording results is presented in graphs. Results: The video analysis method seems to be appropriate for examining the students' didactical outputs. The frequencies of the selected non-verbal acpects of the individuals in the research are intraindividually different. When comparing the students' non-verbal expressions defferences were found in quarter of the observed cases. The differences among students with a higher focus on swimming and those who only compledes obligatory swimming lessons appeared in all cases. The dissertation called the Method of Integration of Valency Syntax into the Czech Language Teaching within Lower Secondary Education deals with the issue of valency syntax in relation to syntax teaching within lower secondary education. The main goal of the dissertation is to describe, specify and define the principles, which serve as the basis for the integration of the valency theory into the Czech language teaching within lower secondary education with regard to pupils' concepts of the structure of a Czech sentence. In its three main parts, the dissertation informs the reader about the development of the perception of the valency syntax as a scientific discipline in the Czech and foreign environment, as the didactic transformation of the curriculum must be always based on scientific theories and comply with them; the second part of the thesis analyses the didactically transformed curriculum of valency syntax in teaching materials intended for lower secondary education. On the basis of a practical quality research, the third part defines pupils' preconcepts related to the formal and semantic structure of a sentence. The objective of the diploma thesis Preconception of the Syntactic Relations of Coordiantion, Aposition and Dominance at Elementary School is to discover whether pupils in the 5th , 6th and 7th grade of elementary school are able to distinguish syntactic relations. At first, the issue of the preconception is defined in the context of constructivist teaching concept, which works with the preconceptions actively. After that, the concept of syntactic relations is described in linguistic literature and textbooks, Framework Educational Programme, and methodological publications. A research tool which consists of special prepared exercises for the research purpose of this thesis was used to investigate the preconception of syntactic relations. The pupils did these exercises individually. By means of semi-structured dialogues it was investigated, how were the pupils thinking during the work. The dialogues were recorded, transcribed and analysed. The research sample comprised of 35 pupils from the 5th to 7th grade of a Prague elementary school. Basketbal ve školní TV na středních školách / Basketball in the PE on the high school

Title: Basketball as a part of high school sports Objectives: The main objective of this work is to determine current students' perception of sports classes, in particular of basketball practices. The aim is to focus on their views on individual exercises and to use their feedback to modify the class plan so that it is more appealing to the students. Methods: A high school in Prague 6 was used as a test subject. Data were collected using an on-line questionnaire which was sent to all students. The data were subsequently analyzed and the results are presented in a graphical form. Results: The results are based on an on-line questionnaire. They show that more than a half of the questioned high school students favors ball games. However, basketball does not belong to the most popular ones. Shooting practices turned out to be the favorite type of basketball practices, while passing was the least prefered one. Keywords: didactics, basketball, appercetion interaction, class blocks

This master thesis aims to describe the methods, form of work and educational strategies used in teaching gifted students and to verify their effectiveness in practice though action - based teacher research. The teoretical part contains the results of czech and foreign literature research concerning the issue of gifted education. It focuses mainly on methods, forms and content of education, but also defining the basic concepts of be gifted and be talented, models of giftedness, characteristics and typologies of gifted pupils, their motivation and attitude of teacher, who plays an essential role in the education process of (not only) gifted pupils. The practical part contains the course and evaluation of action teacher research, where I will apply theoretical knowledge to primary school classes with gifted children and verify their effectiveness in practice. The research is divided into two cycles. The first cycle is focused on observing teaching. The other one cycle includes the planning, implementation and reflection of self teaching, into which the theoretical knowledge is applied. The research results showed that the most of knowledge gained in theoretical part of the thesis was verified as effective. Larp ve výuce literatury na střední škole / Use of larp in secondary school education

This thesis deals with the creation of larp-based educational games intended for the secondary school literary education. The aim was to introduce larp as a possible teaching method, anchored in the existing theoretical framework and the extension of its recognition. The theoretical part defines the position of literary education and educational games, explains the key term larp and describes the process of its creation. The focus of the thesis' practical part are five educational games ranging from 1 to 2 lessons and based in Czech literary works, are presented. The games are designed to encourage pupils to reading and for development of their reading literacy. The practical outcome of this thesis is a set of materials (methodological instructions for teachers and materials for pupils) necessary for the realization of these games in teaching of literature, which are contained in the annexes. In the end of the thesis, there are comments on individual games, which bring the characteristics of the game, outline the possibilities of its use in teaching and reflect on the process of creation and testing.

This dissertation focuses on the presentation of the mutual relationship of history and memory. It asks questions relating to the increasing interest in the memory. Concerning the memory, we want to draw the attention to the fact that the memory tends to democratize the past and broadens the possibilities of themes of the past in a very prominent way even outside the traditional historiography.The work is attentive to memory controlling in the undemocratic environments not forgetting to mention abusing of the memory in the democratic regimes too. Special attention is paid to the twisted memories of the shoah. The focus of this dissertation is therefore the memories of the shoah survivors. The key elements of the testimonies, which are pursued in this work, are thus questions in relation with the shoah survivors and their own memories and remembering, their motivation for talking about the past or clarifying the reasons which led them to being silent for years and years about their war experiences. To investigate the communication memory of the shoah survivors, "memory shoah literature" was used, together with visual archives of the oral history USC Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education. (in English): The final thesis "Didactics of English language for the deaf at secondary schools" tries to find out what methods of lessons and communication would be the most useful for the deaf during English lessons them to pass the final exam at secondary schools. This final thesis was written because of the lack of materials for the deaf. In the Czech Republic there are neither didactics nor methods, manuals on how to teach English to the deaf at secondary schools. Therefore, this thesis could be used as a methodology for the English teachers of the deaf at secondary schools. The theoretical part of the final thesis focuses on the terminology. It points out that the Deaf belongs to the language-cultural minority. There are also shown that different ways of communication that can be used in terms of the deaf. One part is focused on the English final exam. In the last part there are mentioned some specific methods which can be used for teaching English to the deaf. The practical part follows the theoretical part and concentrates on the methods of teaching and the ways of communication with the deaf during English lessons at a secondary school. The goal of this master's dissertation concerned with working with poetry in ČJL (Czech Language and Literature) classes in high school is to create educational classes, which aim to improve high school students' relationship towards poetry. This goal is reached through diverse class activities, which are used in ČJL classes, and which are described in detail in this thesis. In the theoretical part, students' relationship towards poetry is studied and the way poetry as an art form is still attractive even for current high school students is explained. In the practical part, entire complex classes and separate activities are described, both of which are supplemented by excerpts of students' work, which was created during the aforementioned classes and activities. Each class is complemented by both the teacher's and students' reflection of it.
