O presente trabalho tem por objeto as moralidades das Barcas de Gil Vicente em diálogo com a Divina Comédia de Dante. Esta, uma epopéia pelo Inferno, Purgatório e Paraíso, aquelas, Auto da Barca do Inferno, Auto da Praia Purgatória e Auto da Embarcação da Glória. Pretende-se apresentar as semelhanças entre as Barcas vicentinas e a comédia dantiana, demonstrando como elas se caracterizam por um fortíssimo sentido moralizante, pela reafirmação dos princípios cristãos e pelo desejo de renovação espiritual, mas também apresentam diferenças significantes. Além de explicitar tais semelhanças e diferenças por meio do comparativismo, a presente pesquisa demonstra ainda como Gil Vicente e Dante Alighieri figuraram os espaços e personagens com o objetivo de propagar suas concepções ético-morais e ético-religiosas. Desse modo, como alguns outros textos literários da Idade Média e do período de transição para o Renascimento, estavam ao serviço de projetos moralizadores cristãos / El presente trabajo tiene por objeto las moralidades de las Barcas, de Gil Vicente, en diálogo con la Divina Comedia de Dante. Von Dantes Divina commedia sind weltweit mehr als 800 Handschriften aus der Zeit bis 1500 erhalten geblieben. Diese ungemein hohe Zahl ergibt sich nicht nur aus der künstlerischen Qualität von Dantes Hauptwerk, sondern auch aus dem hohen Grad der Alphabetisierung und des Wohlstands der städtischen Bevölkerung Mittel- und Norditaliens im 14. und 15. Jahrhundert sowie aus den Angeboten von zahlreichen Berufsschreibern, Papier- und Pergamentmachern, Buchbindern, Miniaturisten und Buchhändlern. In der Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin und in der Sächsischen Landesbibliothek – Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Dresden werden zehn Handschriften der Divinia commedia aufbewahrt, die hier einzeln vorgestellt werden. Für jede Handschrift wird die Stellung in der Überlieferung der Divina commedia bestimmt, ebenso die Schrift, die Illuminierung, die Datierung und Lokalisierung sowie die Provenienz. Bis auf wenige wurden diese Handschriften vermutlich durch Berufsschreiber geschrieben. Im Ergebnis erweist sich die Qualität der meisten dieser zehn Handschriften als höher als die der Mehrzahl der erhaltenen Handschriften der Divina commedia.

The entity of Lucifer has long been an area of study and confusion throughout history. Among notable literary minds, Dante Alighieri stands out as an illuminating poet who brings to light the essence and nature of this nefarious character and his influence on mankind. In his revelatory work, the Commedia, Dante touches on but does not explicitly detail the scope and importance that music and specifically, song, has on the redemptive purgation of the soul. This work provides a more in depth investigation into the generally overlooked issue, that is, the origin and initial intent of song, the perversion of which, by whom and why, and Dante’s perception of the subject revealed in his missive to mankind. [pt] A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo principal estudar a homilia como parte integrante das celebrações litúrgico-sacramentais, tendo como paradigma a celebração eucarística. Desse modo, as Sagradas Escrituras são determinantes no contexto da sagrada liturgia, pois delas são retirados os textos bíblicos para serem proclamados e comentados na homilia. Esta, por sua vez, na potência do Espírito, atualiza os prodígios operados por Deus na história da salvação tornando-os presentes no hoje da Igreja projetando-a para as realidades futuras. Ao homileta, cabe haurir da Palavra de Deus a mensagem salvífica para a pregação e interpretá-la com a finalidade de conduzir a assembleia litúrgica nos sagrados mistérios. Da mesma maneira, como foi fundamental a redescoberta da Palavra de Deus na celebração litúrgica realizada pelo Concílio Vaticano II, necessário se faz resgatar o caráter pascal da homilia. Por esse motivo, a Igreja apresenta a lectio divina como legítimo método de oração a fim de preparar e prolongar as Escrituras na existência humana. A esse respeito, a Exortação Apostólica Evangelii Gaudium tem o mérito de recuperar a homilia como um autêntico diálogo entre Deus e seu povo com palavras que iluminem e abrasem os corações. / [en] The aim of this research is to study the homily as an integral part of liturgical-sacramental celebrations, whose paradigm is the Eucharistic celebration. Thus, the Sacred Scriptures are decisive in the context of the sacred liturgy because the biblical texts are obtained from them to be proclaimed and commented on in the homily. It, in turn, renews the wonders wrought by God in the history of salvation through the power of the Spirit, making them present in the today of the Church, projecting it to future realities. It is up to the homilet to draw from the Word of God the saving message for preaching and to interpret it to lead the liturgical assembly into the sacred mysteries. In the same way, as the rediscovery of the Word of God was fundamental in the liturgical celebration held by the Second Vatican Council, the Paschal character of the homily must be recovered. For this reason, the Church presents lectio divina as a genuine method of prayer in order to prepare and extend the Scriptures in human existence. In this regard, the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium has the merit of recovering the homily as an authentic dialogue between God and his people with words that enlighten and inflame their hearts.

This dissertation aims to show that the Commedia develops an original and coherent philosophy of human nature. Deploying the methodologies of two separate disciplines, the history of philosophy and literary criticism, it places the poem’s ideas in the intellectual context in which they developed, and analyzes the learnedness, freshness and validity of its conclusions. The topic is divided in three themes, discussed in the same number of chapters: 1) Love and desire. After following Arendt in tracing a tension in Augustine’s works between the theological primordiality of dilectio Dei and the biblically endorsed importance of love for one’s neighbor, I argue that the Commedia develops a concept of social charity that seeks to reconcile that seminal Christian paradox. 2) Free will. Based on a study of the theory of free will advanced by Purgatorio and Paradiso, I advance the idea that Dante’s metaphysics and psychology of human freedom, particularly in regards to his description of the workings of absolute and relative will, contrast in a fundamental way with Aquinas’ in the Appendix of the Summa theologica; and based on that conclusion, and on an analysis of the example of Piccarda Donati, it is possible to conclude that the Commedia not only postulates a hierarchy of volitions as a necessary condition for human freedom, but also defines free will as the ability to formulate a self-forming action. 3) Body and soul. Based on the account of the creation of the universe found in Paradiso XXIX, I argue that the Commedia’s cosmos is strictly hylomorphic, and postulate that this theory also applies to the relationship between body and soul. Thus the transumanar depicted by the last canticle, far from a rejection of worldly existence, rather implies a reencounter with those inalienably human characteristics, but on a higher plane.

The most suitable form of representation to this ceasured content lies in a form of art which is capable of synthesizing both human s world effectiveness and spirits world conceptuality, that is, the tragic poetry. In spite of how important is the ceasure shown by the Tragedy, dividing the Ethicity in two Laws the Divine Law and the Human Law , this ceasure also contains in its own development a moment of reconciliation. This process of overcoming the oppostions goes along with the development of the tragic heros subjectivity, when he stops letting a blind fate guide his life and start to behave as a conscious agent, assuming both his actions and their consequences. Afterwards, Hegels dialectics itself carries a tragic fashion, including the pain of losing as well as the reaching a new plateau / Partindo de uma apresentação geral do percurso efetivado pelo Espírito na forma de uma consciência religiosa na Fenomenologia do Espírito de Hegel, procuraremos destacar como parte essencial deste movimento o momento em que há uma cisão da substância ética que serve de substrato ao mundo da Eticidade grega, e é a radicalidade desta cisão que caracteriza o momento da Tragédia. A forma de representação mais adequada a este conteúdo cindido está em um tipo de arte capaz de sintetizar tanto a objetividade do mundo humano quanto a conceitualidade da vida do Espírito, isto é, a poesia trágica. A despeito da importância da cisão representada pela Tragédia que divide a Eticidade em duas leis a Lei Divina e a Lei Humana ela também contém em seu desenvolvimento um momento de reconciliação. Tal processo de superação das oposições vai junto com um desenvolvimento da subjetividade do herói trágico em que este deixa de se conformar com um destino cego que rege sua vida, e passa a se portar como agente consciente, assumindo assim tanto suas ações, como as consequências que decorrem delas.
