Využití dramatické výchovy v hodinách etické výchovy v počátcích školní docházky / Use of Drama in Education in lessons of ethical education in the begining of school atandanceJanků, Veronika January 2016 (has links)
My master thesis deals with the use of drama education methods when teaching the third grade pupils. The aim is to show that combining the drama education and ethics teaching can effectively develop pupils' moral attitude. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes children of middle childhood and defines both kinds of education. The practical part is a proposal of ten drama education lessons with ethics topics created after observing third grade pupils of the primary school of Bratrancu Veverkovych in Pardubice for five months. The proposal is followed by an implementation of the lessons. The lessons focus on developing pupils in following areas: communication, self-evaluation, appreciation of others, respecting rules, creativity, assertive behaviour, and sensitivity towards one's environment. The implemented lessons are then reflected with regard to defined aims. The thesis' conclusion sums up the results obtained from observing the pupils. The results show us that the drama education methods can bring pupils an authentic experience which will significantly influence their values and moral attitude. The thesis results also show that the moral development of primary school pupils depends on the personality of their teacher.ation, appreciation of others, respecting rules,...

Vliv adaptačního kurzu a třídnických hodin na klima šesté třídy základní školy / Effect of the Adaptation Course and Form Teacher Lessons on the Climate in the Sixth Class in Lower Secondary SchoolKovaříková, Markéta January 2017 (has links)
This thesis examines change of classroom climate in lower secondary school. In the theoretical part, issues of classroom climate, experiential pedagogy, adaptation courses and form teacher lessons are described from the perspective of different authors. The thesis introduces basic approaches for diagnosing classroom climate. It also gives instructions for management of form teacher lessons. B-3 questionnaire determines the current classroom climate and subsequent effects of the adaptation course among the respondents. Form teacher lessons are reported in this thesis, whose effect is also measured by the B-3 questionnaire in a longer period of the adaptation course. The results of the questionnaire investigation point to the need for regular form teacher lessons, in which the formation of a friendly climate in the classroom is realized.

Previous issue date: 2015-02-23 / Knowledge has become a valuable intangible asset that can help project management, in a way that known errors activities can be avoided and processes that have worked can be repeated and hence, integrated into organization. However, problems associated with the management of lessons learned are pervasive in organizations, including project members claiming lack of time to perform activities of lessons learned management, prioritizing other activities. When lessons learned activities are carried out, it was identified inconsistencies in the process of capture of tacit knowledge because team members often do not feel comfortable in sharing their knowledge or report their failures. Additionally, when the capture occurs, the project members find it difficult to record the information because the IT tools currently available to support the process of lessons learned, appear inefficient, especially in terms of search engines. Project management guides used in organizations (e.g. PMBoK-PMI and ICB-IPMA) do not have processes or specific activities for knowledge management and lessons learned in projects. Therefore, it was identified the need for the treatment of lessons learned in organizations and specifically in Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS) projects. This dissertation aims to: 1. Develop a model of adoption of IT 2.0 tools to assist IT/IS project managers in the lessons learned management and 2. Validate the proposed model by reviewing the model with experts in projects. We used mixed methods as paradigm and method in this research. Ten interviews and 183 answers of the questionnaire were used to answer the research question "how lessons learned can be managed with the support of IT 2.0 tools in IT/IS projects?” As a result, it was generated the Target 2.0 model, which includes the following lessons learned management processes: raising awareness, collect/verify, store/disseminate and reuse processes. They are supported by technologies as Wikis, Social Networks, Blogs, Really Simple Syndication (RSS) and Web Office. Regards the contribution to theory, this dissertation is of explanatory and predictive type, has incremental originality and scientific and practical use. For the contribution to practice the study assists the project team to implement lessons learned activities suggesting tools and processes. We conclude that the lessons learned can be managed through lessons learned processes performed in any phase of the project. The suggested tools facilitate the exchange of experiences and collaboration and the Target 2.0 model covers processes, technology and people, aspects that can ensure better results when aligned with the strategy and the structure of the organization. Quanto à contribuição para a teoria, o modelo Target 2.0 é do tipo explicativo e preditivo, possui originalidade incremental e utilidade científica e prática.

The predictive influence of variables in three different academic learning environments on the intentions of music education majors to leave the degree program.Corley, Alton L. 05 1900 (has links)
Attrition rates among students in music teacher training programs have contributed to a shortage of qualified music teachers for the nation's schools. The purpose of this study was to investigate the predictive relationship of academic variables in three different learning environments and the intent of a select population of music education majors to leave the degree program. The study drew upon the work of Tinto, Bean and Astin to form a theoretical foundation for examining variables unique to student withdrawal from the music education degree plan. Variables were examined within the context of three different learning environments: (1) applied lessons, (2) ensembles and (3) non-performance courses. Participants were 95 freshmen and sophomore music education majors at a public university who were enrolled in the music education degree program during the spring semester, 2002. Data included participant responses on the Music Student Inventory (MSI), a questionnaire developed specifically for the study, and grade data from university records. Independent variables in the study included participants' perceptions of (1) Ensemble experiences, (2) Applied lesson experiences, (3) Non-performance music course experiences, (3) Course requirements, and (4) Performance growth. Additional variables included: (1) Ensemble placement, (2) Course grades for music theory, applied lessons and aural skills, and (3) cumulative grade point averages. Gender interactions were also examined. The dependent variable in the study was intent to withdraw from the music education program. Data were analyzed using a binary logistic regression procedure. Results of the analysis indicated that none of the variables tested were statistically significant predictors of subjects' intentions to withdraw from the music education degree program. Gender interactions were not evident among the variables. Although statistically insignificant, the strongest predictor of the variables represented by questionnaire responses was lesson experiences. The ana ysis of course grades for music theory, applied lessons and aural skills failed to produce a statistically significant main effect, but applied lesson grades produced the strongest effect in the model. Results of the study suggest that students' intentions to withdraw from the music education program are related to variables other than those representing the academic component of the music education program.

Using Web-Based Instruction to Teach Music Theory in the Piano Studio: Defining, Designing, and Implementing an Integrative ApproachCarney, Robert D. 05 1900 (has links)
This dissertation rationalizes the best use of Web-based instruction (WBI) for teaching music theory to private piano students in the later primary grades. It uses an integrative research methodology for defining, designing, and implementing a curriculum that includes WBI. Research from the fields of music education, educational technology, educational psychology, and interaction design and children receive primary consideration. A synthesis of these sources outlines several research-based principles that instructional designers can use to design a complete blended learning environment for use within the piano studio. In addition to the research-based principles, the precise methods of determining instructional tasks and implementing the program online are described in detail. A full implementation is then deployed, and piano teachers evaluate the extent to which the online program fulfills the research-based principles. This dissertation does not argue for the complete migration of theory instruction from traditional workbook approaches to an entirely Web-based medium but rather outlines the best use of face-to-face instruction, collaboration amongst students, teachers, and parents, and interaction with a Web-based program. This formative research provides a complete model of integrating WBI within the piano studio that can guide instructional designers and music educators.

Digital publishing in the South African trade sub-sector : lessons to learn from disruptive technologyGaigher, S.S.E. (Susan) January 2012 (has links)
The traditional print publishing industry has been faced with significant change over the past decade. Advances in technology have led to the increased digitisation of business processes, and have debatably brought e-books to the brink of the mainstream market. With the growing popularity of e-books in the trade market come several opportunities for publishers to expand, improve and differentiate their businesses. But publishers also face a very challenging time ahead to successfully implement digital publishing in their business processes.
This study examines the implications of digitisation and digital publishing on publishing business processes in the traditional print publishing environment. The research considers digital publishing as a disruptive technology in the publishing industry, and draws on the context and predictive value of disruptive technology theory. Disruptive technology theory examines why, when faced with a disruptive technology, some firms succeed in the marketplace, and others fail. The research applied
the principles and predictions of disruptive technology theory to the publishing industry to develop a set of recommendations for publishers implementing digital publishing processes.
The research employed a mixed methodology design that included an extensive literature review and an online survey of South African book publishers. The literature provided an overview of the issues surrounding digital publishing, and the opportunities and challenges that publishers are faced with. Literature on disruptive technology theory served to establish trends in industries faced with disruptive technology, and uncovered recommendations for its successful implementation.
The researcher made use of an online survey that was sent to South African trade publishers that had already started experimenting with digital publishing in 2010 or 2011, or had plans to do so during the course of 2011 and 2012. The survey was designed to uncover the current state of digital publishing in the South African trade publishing industry, to discover the approaches that publishers are currently taking, and the barriers to implementation that they are experiencing.
The research confirmed that the current state of digital publishing in South Africa, and the problems that publishers are experiencing, are characteristic of industries faced with disruptive technology.
The principles of disruptive technology can therefore be applied to develop recommendations and suggest strategies for publishers planning to venture into digital publishing.
Although the focus of the research was on South African trade publishers, the results and recommendations that emerged from the research can be applied to the wider international publishing industry. / Dissertation (MIS)--University of Pretoria, 2012. / gm2013 / Information Science / unrestricted
