nÃo hà / A gestÃo ambiental tem sido uma ferramenta relevante para a orientaÃÃo de instituiÃÃes pÃblicas e privadas, incluindo o setor da educaÃÃo representado pelas InstituiÃÃes de Ensino Superior (IES). Por meio da implementaÃÃo de sistemas de gestÃo ambiental (SGA) à possÃvel adotar procedimentos para minimizar impactos gerados pela rotina de atividades realizadas em um Campus UniversitÃrio. Por esta perspectiva ambiental, buscou-se o conhecimento da realidade vivida no Campus UniversitÃrio do Pici da Universidade Federal do CearÃ. A pesquisa permitiu identificar na Ãrea fÃsica do Campus os aspectos e impactos ambientais significativos do Campus; prÃticas sustentÃveis em execuÃÃo atravÃs de projetos de extensÃo; pesquisas realizadas nas unidades operacionais e administrativas, e tambÃm, possibilitou ter uma visÃo ambiental dos gestores responsÃveis pelas atividades acadÃmicas, administrativas e operacionais. Percebeu-se a iniciativa de coordenadores de projetos de extensÃo e pesquisa em manter, melhorar e desenvolver prÃticas sustentÃveis no Campus. Observou-se, porÃm, a falta de integraÃÃo/comunicaÃÃo entre a gestÃo responsÃvel pela administraÃÃo do Campus e a maioria das aÃÃes de pesquisa e de prÃticas sustentÃveis, havendo necessidade de uma parceria mais efetiva. De posse dos dados coletados e dos estudos realizados em outras IES foi proposto um modelo de gestÃo ambiental para o Campus, baseado no ciclo do PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act). Concluiu-se que o modelo proposto poderà ser expandido para outros campi da UFC, considerando, obviamente, os impactos e a realidade de cada um. Por fim, sugeriu-se que a UFC deve revisar prÃticas de consumo, identificar fontes de desperdÃcios e minimizar os impactos ambientais gerados pelas atividades acadÃmicas, administrativas e operacionais. / Environmental management has been an relevant tool for guiding public and private institutions, including the education sector represented by the Higher Education Institutions. Through the implementation of environmental management systems (EMS) is possible to adopt procedures to minimize impacts caused by routine activities in a university campus. For this environmental perspective, was sought the knowledge of lived reality on the Campus do Pici, Federal University of Cearà (UFC).The research allowed to identify the physical area of the Campus: The significant environmental aspects and impacts of the Campus; Sustainable practices implemented through extension projects; Research conducted at operational and administrative units. The survey also allowed to have an environmental vision of the managers responsible for the academic, administrative and operational activities. Was perceived the initiative of coordinators extension projects and research to maintain, improve and develop sustainable practices on campus. Was observed, however, the lack of integration / communication between the management responsible for the administration of the campus and the majority of the shares of research and sustainable practices, recommended be more effective partnership. In possession of the collected data and studies in other higher education institutions, was proposed a model of environmental management for the campus based on the PDCA cycle (Plan-Do-Check-Act). It was concluded that the proposed model could be expanded to other campuses of the UFC, considering, obviously, impact and reality of each. Finally, it was suggested that the UFC should review consumer practices, identify sources of waste and minimize environmental impacts created by academic, administrative and operational activities.

A study for PengHu of teacher in elementry school contribute ecological protection education

In Penghu, there are natural areas of ecological protection which are spectacular in the domestic environment and rare in the world. And it is possible in the future for these areas to be developed into national geology parks or world heritage areas of ecology. Thus, the issue of establishing ecological protection areas in Penghu is quite often presented and quite appealing to the public. This research is being underway by inquires with the help of teachers in Penghu elementary schools, studying the value recognition, care attitude, willingness of participation, and levels of participation toward the issue of establishing Penghu¡¦s ecological protection areas. Next, this research is related to study the motives, methods, contents, and influences of teachers in Penghu elementary schools, who are assumed to carry out the task of ecological protection. At last, this research includes the effective methods of how to improve the teaching of ecological protection and presents the solutions of how to deal with the difficulties, which teachers in elementary schools have encountered. Through the computer¡¦s statistic analyses, the effective surveys can be generalized as the findings below: 1. The current major problems of ecological protection in Penghu are the unestablishment of ecological concepts and consensuses as well as the serious damages and changes of the wild inhabitants of animals and plants. Thus, how to place equal emphasis on the continuing development of economics and the island¡¦s ecological protection will become the future common direction of efforts for the various administrative agencies. 2. The attitudes and behaviors of the teachers in the county toward the public affairs are mostly conservative and passive when they are implementing the task of ecological protection. From the results of the surveys, most teachers agree that if schools can work with the organizations or groups of ecological protection, which will contribute to the teaching task of ecological protection. Thus, it seems necessary for schools and the educational agencies concerned to combine the work of ecological protection units and that of the teachers. 3. Most of the tasks of ecological protection by the teachers of this county are focused on meeting the needs of school curricula, which are influencing to the studying interests and concerns of students and to the interactions between students and teachers. Thus, it is obviously necessary for the agencies concerned to well arrange the related ecological curricula, such as the choices of teaching places, methods, strategies, contents, manpower resources, and the frequencies of teaching activities. 4. Most of the teachers agree that it is more effective for students to undertake ecological protection activities in the ecological protection areas than any other forms of teaching activities. Thus, it is worthwhile for the school authorities to deal with difficulties and to offer effective situations for teachers and students. 5. To the teaching of ecological protection, the major problem which most of the teachers have met with is the inadequacy of professional know-how in ecological protection. On the other hand, there are many teachers who have the same idea that teacher¡¦s professional expertise is the key to the success of undertaking ecological protection. Therefore, it is without doubt very important for the county¡¦s educational units to think of how to enhance teachers¡¦ reeducation, to cultivate their professional know-how about ecological protection, and to solve their teaching difficulties. 6. It is indeed a great help to the teachers¡¦ tasks on ecological protection that if schools can put emphasis on teachers¡¦ work, if communities can give them support, and if school administrative measures can be more enhanced. Thus, it is necessarily important for the school authorities to seek the communication and cooperation between the parents and the residents of the communities as well as to get more resources to help the teaching activities. 7. County administrative policies influence a lot on the undertaking effectiveness of ecological protection. Thus, it is an important objective for the county authorities in charge of ecological protection to meet with educational authorities to promote the county¡¦s ecological protection environment. At the same time, the various school units should establish a comprehensive teaching network on ecological protection in accordance with its own natural environment, human resources, and needs of curricula to compile the curricular materials of ecological protection.

Mesmo porque as ci?ncias sociais, at? pouco tempo atr?s, impunham para a sociedade o paradigma dominante da f? no progresso e na racionalidade humana. Ademais, no ?mbito das ci?ncias sociais, mais especificamente, da sociologia ambiental, importa considerar que al?m das vari?veis puramente sociais, vari?veis biof?sicas tamb?m afetam a estrutura e as mudan?as sociais. O objetivo central foi compreender se as pr?ticas de educa??o ambiental, desenvolvidas em escolas p?blicas estaduais e municipais, localizadas nas proximidades dos rios Potengi e Mossor?, das cidades do Natal e Mossor?-RN, respectivamente, estavam contribuindo para poss?veis ressignifica??es da rela??o sociedade-natureza, por meio da fala de professores de escolas p?blicas, considerada, neste estudo, como um discurso competente e leg?timo para a abordagem das mudan?as das pr?ticas sociais em rela??o ? quest?o socioambiental, a partir do espa?o da vida escolar. Para tanto, tomamos como refer?ncias, para a orienta??o te?rico-metodol?gica deste estudo, a no??o de campo social e habitus de Pierre Bourdieu, como eixo central para explicar a rela??o sociedade-natureza. O pensamento de Bourdieu ? de import?ncia central para as ci?ncias humanas, e como um autor contempor?neo, a ele ? concedido o respeito devido a um dos cl?ssicos. Para Bourdieu, os condicionamentos materiais e simb?licos agem sobre a sociedade e os indiv?duos, numa complexa rela??o hist?rica e de interdepend?ncia. A abordagem cidade-natureza, nos tempos atuais, incide, neste trabalho, no debate em torno da rela??o cidades, rios e educa??o ambiental. Nesse sentido, recorremos a autores da geografia e da arquitetura e urbanismo para tratar das quest?es que envolvem a cis?o e reconcilia??o das cidades com seus rios. Esta pesquisa empregou como m?todo a combina??o das abordagens quantitativas e qualitativas, na constru??o dos seus dados para uma melhor compreens?o da educa??o ambiental, enquanto um fen?meno social dos tempos atuais da rela??o sociedade-natureza, observando-se pontos de converg?ncia, diferen?a e combina??o. A hip?tese principal foi a de que estaria em constru??o de um habitus socioambiental em contraposi??o ao habitus utilitarista, numa vis?o mais ampliada da quest?o ambiental, advindo dessas pr?ticas, em que pese o ambiente da vida social educativa de Natal e de Mossor?. Sistemas de saneamento no povoado Areia Branca situado na zona de expansão de Aracaju : percepção e práticas sustentáveis no uso da água

A great concern nowadays current is that environmental and mainly related to the themes of usos water management since his consumption, levels of quality and quantity needed for population, at the dumping of waste arising from its use. From this on, set up how to study the problem management to use of freshwater in the Areia Branca region (Aracaju Expansion Zone), where part of the population makes use of wells as a source of water supply for consumption. Thus, the present study aimed to analyze the from the site characterization, a perception and sustainable practices as realized for the population and if there is destination given the domestic sewage or toilets. Such research was based a qualitative and quantitative methodological approach in order to understand and analyze the related facts on environmental sanitation, more precisely the types of water use, prospecting quality materials to inform a real importance to an overview questioning. To this end, they were performed: bibliographical and documentary survey; questionnaires to the community concerned and the relevant public bodies; observations "in loco"; experimental research to prove the level of quality (potable) water; mapping of collection points; tab and management of data; and analysis and interpretation of information. With the diagnosis and the analysis performed, it can be seen that the village lacks basic sanitation and environmental infrastructure, because the quality of the water used by the population, in general, does not meet the potability standards required by Brazilian law; and also the financial resources allocated to this region are insufficient for the maintenance of other issues related to public health, as the case of the lack of land use planning, urban drainage and sewerage system. Through the data obtained may also conclude that the perception of the population regarding the use of water, for the sustainable practices, falls short of emotional relationships between man and the environment, it is imperative to implement environmental education practices subsidize such relationship and therefore the sustained use of water. Thus, this research provided reveal the static scenario in which it is the region in terms of environmental development, lacking energetic solutions to minimize the problems faced by the resident population and therefore sensitize them on environmental issues. In contrast, it is expected that this study will provide more information for the academic community and tools for the management of water resources through public policies aimed at the population's well-being as well as the preservation of natural resources, advocating the importance of water quality for improving the quality of life and the maintenance of human health. / Uma das maiores preocupações dos tempos atuais diz respeito às questões ambientais e principalmente em temas relacionados à gestão dos usos das águas desde o seu consumo, em níveis de qualidade e quantidade necessários à população, até o despejo de rejeitos oriundos de seu uso. Diante disso, definiu-se como problema de estudo o gerenciamento do uso das águas doces na região de Areia Branca (Zona de Expansão de Aracaju), onde parte da população faz uso de poços como fonte de suprimento de água para o consumo. Para tanto, o presente estudo objetivou analisar, a partir da caracterização local, a percepção e as práticas sustentáveis realizadas pela população no uso da água e no destino dado aos esgotos domésticos/sanitários. A pesquisa fundamentou-se numa abordagem metodológica qualitativa e quantitativa com o intuito de conhecer e analisar os fatos relacionados ao saneamento ambiental, mais precisamente os tipos de uso da água, prospectando materiais de qualidade para informar a real importância do questionamento apanhado. Para tal, foram realizados: levantamento bibliográfico e documental; questionários aplicados à comunidade em questão e aos órgãos públicos correspondentes; observações “in loco”; pesquisa experimental para comprovar o nível de qualidade (potabilidade) da água; mapeamento dos pontos de coleta; tabulação e ordenamento dos dados; e análise e interpretação das informações. Com o diagnóstico e as análises realizadas, pode-se verificar que o povoado carece de infraestrutura de saneamento básico e ambiental, pois a qualidade da água utilizada pela população, de uma maneira geral, não atende aos padrões de potabilidade exigidos pela legislação brasileira; e também os recursos financeiros destinados a esta região são insuficientes para a manutenção de outras questões vinculadas à saúde pública, como o caso da falta de ordenamento territorial, da drenagem urbana e do sistema de esgotamento sanitário. Por meio dos dados obtidos pode-se concluir também que a percepção da população a respeito do uso da água, quanto às práticas sustentáveis, está aquém das relações afetivas entre o homem e o meio ambiente, sendo imprescindível a implementação de práticas de educação ambiental para subsidiar tal relação e, por conseguinte, o uso sustentado da água. Dessa forma, essa pesquisa proporcionou revelar o cenário estático em que se encontra a região, em termos de desenvolvimento socioambiental, carecendo de soluções enérgicas para minimizar os problemas enfrentados pela população residente e, por conseguinte, sensibilizá-la quanto às questões ambientais. Em contrapartida, espera-se que este estudo possa oferecer mais informações para a comunidade acadêmica e ferramentas para o gerenciamento dos recursos hídricos através de políticas públicas que visem o bem-estar da população, bem como a preservação do recurso natural, preconizando a importância da qualidade da água para a melhoria da qualidade de vida e da manutenção da saúde humana.
