Användningen av 5S och TPM på en företagskritisk maskinstation inom produktionen / The use of 5S and TPM in a business critical machine station within production

Au-Yeung, Chingying, Andreasson, Emma January 2017 (has links)
The project was performed at Parker Hannifin Cylinder Division at Falköping, where a station in the most critical flow at the production has been studied, which is the hand welding station. Within this report, the purpose is to identify disturbances, in order to eliminate and reduce these by coming up with improvement proposals. Furthermore, the aim is to help improve the company's work with 5S and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance). A combination of tools and concepts are being used in this project when generating improvement proposals to avoid the risk of falling back into old habits and facilitate the work. The combination of concepts, intends to be continued to work with, in order to facilitate for the company to reach even higher results. The methodology of TPM is the basis of the project, although it is not about a complete implementation of TPM, but is limited to chosen parts since it is a time consuming process that can go on for years. The main focus of TPM is about the first pillar, 5S. Action plans for how to solve these problems and how to achieve the desired state has been established.Thereafter, the researchers in cooperation with the company´s staff have implemented a couple of small improvement proposals. Further improvement proposals have also been presented in this report, but due to the limited time no implementations was made. Moreover, this project is divided into a couple of phases. Situational analysis has been made through both interviews with staff and observation studies. Analysis has also been made by some numeric data taken out by researchers and partly through mapping the equipment. The intention of this is to create a status image of the current situation over the hand welding station. The current state has shown the appearance of problems and challenges that exist. Additional wastages and disturbances in the station can come up to the surface and can thus easily be identified. In turn, occurring wastages and disturbances can be eliminated and the amount of wasted time reduced with help of the action plans to reach a future state.Another method that occurs is spaghetti charts. It has been used for mapping up the existing procedures during the process of the orders in the station, and by that identified different types of disturbances. In addition, the creation of a Value Stream Mapping (VSM) has been made. The map is used as a measurement to identify how much time on a working day that is spent as value adding time and non-value adding time of work.

Corpus Technologica : En religionshistorisk analys av Robert Anton Wilsons version av The Eight Circuit Model of Consciousness i ljuset av den västerländska esoterismen

Ekeberg, Dennis January 2012 (has links)
This is a thesis about The Eight Circuit Model, a modern mind map developed for the purpose of illumination and enlighenment by Dr. Timothy Leary in the 1970s. Later, authors such as Robert Anton Wilson and Antero Alli elaborated upon the idea to make it more wholesome and compatible with other ideas expressing the same basic principle. In short, it is an intellectual abstraction of the evolution of consciousness through a series of eight stages, which Leary called Circuits. By looking at the brain as an evolving bio-computer, with thoughts working as software, upgrading itself through neurological imprints, Learys created a Hero's Journey for the modern age.The thesis tries to analyze this idea, as it is presented in Robert Anton Wilsons Prometheus Rising, through the lens of the discourse category ”Western Esoterism.” A hard-to-define subject but described as ”the dialectic of the hidden and the revealed in the field of religion.”

District Superintendent and School Board President Perceptions Regarding Leadership Characteristics for Superintendents of Texas Schools

Groholski, Kenneth L. 2009 December 1900 (has links)
ABSTRACT District Superintendent and School Board President Perceptions regarding Leadership Characteristics for Superintendents of Texas Schools. (December 2009) Kenneth Lee Groholski, B.S., Sam Houston State University M.Ed., Tarleton State University Chair of Advisory Committee: Dr. John R. Hoyle The purpose of this study was to compare the perceptions of Texas Public School superintendents and school board presidents on the importance of leadership characteristics of the superintendency. The questionnaire used in this study was developed by Dr. Douglas D. Wilson and modified by the researcher. Responses to a Likert Scale instrument and a nominal ranking of ten leadership characteristics were solicited from superintendents and school board presidents of Texas public schools. The population was superintendents and school board presidents from Texas Public Schools. The population was divided into large school districts (>10,000 students) and small school districts (<10,000 students). Data was then generated regarding the respondent’s perceptions of leadership characteristics. Descriptive statistics and Mann-Whitney Tests for differences were used to determine if possible significant differences exist in the data. Results were reported using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS 14.0). Major findings of the study suggest: 1. Superintendents may view the importance of instructional leadership, prior work experience in education, and effective school board relations significantly higher than school board presidents. 2. Superintendents of small schools may view the importance of instructional leadership, prior work experience in education, and effective school board relations significantly higher than school board presidents of small schools. Conversely, school board presidents of small schools may view the focus on professional development significantly higher than superintendents of small schools. 3. Superintendents of large schools may view the importance of instructional leadership, comfort with media relations and politics, and effective school board relations significantly higher than school board presidents of large schools. 4. Regardless of school size, superintendents and school board presidents appeared to be in agreement concerning the three least important superintendent leadership characteristics.

The Study on Kuan-yin Tzu-lin Chi

Lu, Chun-Shiung 12 July 2003 (has links)
Abstract This paper aims to analyze Kuan-yin Tzu-lin Chi (Compassionate Grove of Kuan-yin) compiled by Hung-tsan in Ching Dynasty. One part of Kuan-yin Tzu-lin Chi includes eleven pieces of classics related to Kuan-yin, and the other part contains kan-ying (stimulus and response) tales, composed of two subsections. The latter part of Kuan-yin Tzu-lin Chi involves 154 kan-ying tales about Kuan-yin (including nine tales from India), which were collected from Ch`in Ch¡¬in to Ching Dynasty and recorded on 26 pieces of Chinese literature. In these tales, people chanted the name of Kuan-yin or recited The Heart Sutra, Kuan-yin Ching (Chapter of Universal Gateway), or The Great Compassionate Dharani to meet their practical needs in life. This paper includes six chapters, and the method adopted is literature analysis. First of all, the derivation of the worship in Kuan-yin and the popularity of such belief among the Asian world are discussed. Subsequently, accounts are given that from possessing the conferral by the Buddha of the prediction of the attainment of Buddhahood in the future, Kuan-yin has been kind and compassionate to the end of all time. In addition, Kuan-yin has vowed to benefit the sentient beings, be profoundly compassionate, and build the relationship in the secular world. In order to save all sentient beings and manifest physically, Kuan-yin can give practical benefits to them, including invoking the name, satisfying two kinds of seeking, deleting three basic evil afflictions, solving eight difficulties, and creating fourteen fearlessness. To prove Kuan-yin¡¦s benevolent power, the kan-ying tales from Kuan-yin Tzu-lin Chi, Kuan-yin Chi-yen Chi, and other literature are cited. Apart from that, with the progress of the Buddha¡¦s teaching, and the extension of kan-ying tales about Kuan-yin, research on Kuna-yin¡¦s impact on literature and Buddhism is conducted to verify the Universal Gateway belief in ¡¥Great kindness is to build absolute trust for all the sentient beings, and great compassion is to save them.¡¦

Political Democracy in Bosnia and Herzegovina : A Case Study about Bosnia and Herzegovina's Democratic Progress

Ramovic, Armin January 2017 (has links)
Integrating into a political democratic regime has not been a simple task for post-communisitc states such as Bosnia and Herzegovina. The signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement in 1995 marked the end of the catastrophic war that took place in the region, and was the start for the democratic developments that would now fully integrate Bosnia and Herzegovina into a consolidated democratic regime. However, the history after the signing of the agreement has not been as idealistic. Corruption, ethnic limitations and restrictions, disagreement between the various governmental bodies, and the lack of accountability between the political authorities are just some of the factors which have hindered Bosnia and Herzegovina from reaching any major democratic progress for the past years. This essay will examine if Bosnia and Herzegovina can be regarded as a political democratic regime in accordance to Robert Dahl’s eight institutional guarantees. It will also investigate the democratic development that has taken place before and after the elections in 2014.
