Novotná, Petra January 2011 (has links)
Title: Effect of water temperature on the electrical activity of muscle Objective: Main objective of this work is to determine the spatiotemporal changes in muscle activation depending on different properties of the environment. All this at a defined muscle power output. Measured by hand dynamometer. Methods: This is a case study. Is processed and analyzed the relationship of the forearm muscles against the aquatic environment (different temperatures - 15 řC, 24 řC and 35 řC) and against dry. Muscular power output is defined and measured by hand dynamometer. Muscular power output was determined as isometric contraction flexors of wrist and fingers of dominant hand. It all in three different modes. The research group were included 5 healthy individuals (3 women, 2 men). As objectivization method was determined surface electromyography. Findings: There is no influence of water temperature (15 řC, 24 řC and 35 řC) on spatiotemporal activation of muscle. It all at a defined muscle power output. There is also no changes on spatiotemporal activation of muscle in aquatic and dry. Keywords: muscle contraction, temperature, water environment, surface electromyography, Water Surface EMG

Využití elektromyografie pro funkční diagnostiku horní končetiny u spinálních pacientů z pohledu ergoterapeuta / The use of surface electromyography for functional diagnostic of upper limb in spinal cord injury patients an occupational therapy perspective

Nováková, Kateřina January 2019 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to determine the use of surface electromyography for functional diagnostic of upper limb in spinal cord injury patients from an occupational therapy perspective. Functional diagnostic is focused on personal activities of daily living (pADL). So far, no one has commented this topic from an occupational therapy perspective in the Czech Republic. The thesis should offer another possibility of objective evaluation. The theoretical part deals with the description of upper limb, including kinesiology, the types of grasps of quadriplegic patients and the muscles involved in performing personal activities of daily living. There are problem areas of activities of daily living in spinal cord injury patients and their classification. At the end of the theoretical part is described electromyography, interconnection with occupational therapy and use of surface electromyography. There is also described interdisciplinary team. The practical part consists of six case reports, in which subjects were measured muscle activity during performing personal activities of daily living using surface electromyography. This section presents a diverse use of application of surface electromyography both in terms of graphical imaging and wide age dispersion of patients. Keywords: surface...

Bewertungsmodell muskulärer dynamischer Beanspruchungen

Mühlstedt, Jens, Hentschel, Christian, Bartel, Doreen, Grundmann, Isabell, Spanner-Ulmer, Birgit 03 May 2011 (has links) (PDF)

Bačáková, Radka January 2013 (has links)
Tittle: Description quadrupedal locomotion diagonal pattern in specific sport activity (rope climbing, walking, pull-up) Aim of work: The aim is to find a description kvadrupedal locomotion diagonal pattern with rope climbing and its motion pattern compared with the motion pattern of walking and pull-up. Methods: This work is descriptively-association study with quantitative and qualitative analysis. The dates were measured by surface electromyography and 2-D video-analysis. Results: Alternating activation of upper extremities (rope climbing without the lower extremities), we proved that the movement supporting lower extremities is quadruped locomotion diagonal pattern. Symmetric work of upper extremities (pull-up) is not in response at lower extremities quadruped locomotion diagonal pattern. Key words: Electromyography (EMG), quadruped, diagonal pattern, rope climbing, pull-up, walking

Ověření účinků Vojtovy reflexní lokomoce u pacientů s periferní parézou lícního nervu / Verification of the effects of Vojta's reflex locomation in patients with peripheral paresis of the facial nerve

Dvořák, Martin January 2007 (has links)
This thesis summes up findings concerning the pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnostic, and the therapy of peripheral paresis of the facial nerve, with accent on physiotherapeutical methods of treatment of such disorder. Here is also a description of Polyelectromyography that could become one possibility how to objectively judge the differences in the activation of mimical muscles in patients diagnosed with peripheral paresis of the facial nerve during various kinds of mimical movements. The practical part is concerned with and is talking about the use and application of my knowledge of the theory in practice with providing therapy to my patients suffering from peripheral paresis of the facial nerve by applying Vojta's reflex locomotion. The immediate effect of the therapy is here objectively and in detail analysed and described. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Elektromyografická analýza rozdílů v provedení vybraných cviků na gymnastickém koni a na koni v kroku / Elektromyographic analysis of differences in selected excercises on pommel horse and riding horse

Pyšková, Barbora January 2017 (has links)
Author: Bc. et Bc. Barbora Pyšková Title: Elektromyographic analysis of differences in selected excercises on pommel horse and riding horse Objectives: The aim of the thesis was to measure the activity of selected muscles, expressed as the percentage value of the maximal voluntary contraction (MVC), during excercises performed by both males and females probands. The effect of treatment (on pommel horse vs riding horse) and proband sex on muscle activity was tested. Methods: Maximal voluntary contraction of each muscle (eight in total) was electromyographically measured in each proband, using the test according to Janda. These values were used as a standard to which the values obtained by excercising on pommel horse and riding horse were related. The values were averages of three repeated measurements. The effect of studied factors was tested by analysis of variance. Results: The tested hypotheses were confirmed. The muscle activity during excercises was statistically significantly affected by the factors studied, therefore the variation in measured values is not random. Muscle activity tended to be higher on riding horse than on pommel horse, and in females compared to males. Key words: horse riding, pommel horse, EMG, electromyography, hipotherapy, correct horse sit

Komparativní kineziologická analýza záběru při veslování na skifu a při jízdě na trenažeru Concept 2 D PM3. / Comparative - kinsiological analysis of the rowing stroke on a single scull and on a rowing machine Concept 2

Zbořilová, Martina January 2017 (has links)
Title: Kinesiological analysis of the rowing stroke on a single scull and on a rowing ergometer Concept 2 comparison Purposes: The purpose of the present study was to determine a specific structure in timing of selected muscles during two movement patterns - rowing on a single scull and rowing on an ergometer Concept 2. Methods: By surface electromyography we recorded muscular activity, synergies and involvement throughout mean cycle of the rowing stroke. Results: The mutual correlations of mean EMG curves of all measured muscles showed, that there were not found any differences in inter-locomotive synchronization of selected muscles. Established values of correlation (r) showed higher level of dynamic balance (performance similarity between both measured activities. Determination of the muscular activity timing considering onsets and cessations, was in the percentual results explication of the movement cycle inter-locomotive different. Conclusion: Results showed a great similarity in synergies organizing the muscular coordination in between both measured physical activities. But timing of the movement was different in the moments of muscular activity onsets during rowing and during ergometer rowing. This may be attributed to the specificity of on-water locomotion. Key words: Rowing, Concept 2,...
