Previous issue date: 2017-03-31 / CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and its constituents (black carbon – BC, metals etc) affect human health leading to several diseases. Children and adolescents are one of the major risk group for exposure to such pollutants, with increased exposure indoors such as in classroom. As a result, the mass concentration of PM2.5, BC and elementar composition was evaluated in the rainy and dry seasons in 2016, inside a classroom and outside a kindergarten and high school (Escola Estadual Isaías Vasconcelos – EEIV) at downtown of Iranduba city. Belonging to the metropolitan region of Manaus, the Iranduba city is characterized by the presence of emission sources by burning process, surch as the oleics industries. The highest mass concentration was indoor PM2,5 (13.8 μg m-3) in the dry season. The lowest mass concentration was outdoor PM2,5 in the rainy season (4.7 μg m-3). The indoor PM2,5 values demonstrated the accumulation these particles inside the classroom, with the occurrence of a value above an international norm. The BC concentration also presented the highest values in the indoor and in the dry season. However, the largest contribution of mass (10.21%) from BC to PM2,5 was to outdoor in the dry season. The highest correlation between the outdoor PM2,5 and the outdoor BC confirms the dependence between them and the influence of burning process in the region. The concentration of Fe, TI, Se, S and Ca was statistically the same between the seasons. This behavior demonstrates the presence of continuous sources for these elements. A moderate correlation (0.56) between the Se and S was obtained for the outdoor during the dry season, indicating common burning sources (fossil fuels, household waste etc). The K was below D.L. in the rainy season but it obtained high correlation with the Mg in the dry season, evidencing the influence of biomass burning in the region during this season. Thus, the study corroborate the assumption that Iranduba city is influenced by burning process and the values of indoor concentrations show that the inefficiency of ventilation in the classroom can harm the health of students with continuous exposure.

Recuperação de enxofre elementar em reatores microaerados / Sulfur recovery in micro-aerobic reactorsPriscila Rosseto Camiloti 30 March 2012 (has links)
The occurrence of biological sulfate reduction results in the formation of unwanted hydrogen sulfide, which can be removal under oxygen-limiting conditions. Detailed knowledge of this process remains unclear and the micro aeration process was prevented by technological limitations. For these reasons, the chemical and biological oxidation of sulfide was studied in two configurations of reactors using porous polymer membrane (silicon membrane) as an alternative to micro aeration. The configurations present two forms of micro-aeration by internal pressure (Submerged Membrane Reactor- SMR) and an external one (External Membrane Reactor EMR) with aeration by air exchange. The micro aeration was evaluated through the global oxygen mass transfer coefficient (KLa). The average results obtained for KLa were 0.10 h-1 for SMR and 0.154 h-1 for EMR, confirming the micro aeration. The settings were operated to evaluate the chemical and biochemical oxidation of sulfide to elemental sulfur by different variables: pH, pressure (for SMR) and flow/membrane area (for EMR) through factorial design. The chemical oxidation showed high sulfide conversion to sulfur, with mean value of 91.3% in SMR and 79.2% in EMR and conversion to sulfate of 2.3% in SMR and 15.7% in EMR. The biochemical oxidation in EMR showed mean values of sulfide conversion to sulfur of 41.6% and 52.8% for sulfate. The oxidation of sulfidogenic reactor effluent was evaluated and obtained mean values of 48.7% for conversion to elemental sulfur and 46.7% to sulfate. The variable studies showed that the variable pH is significantly for sulfide oxidation. The SMR presented operational problems invalidating their use. The use of membranes, showed a high viability due to its ability to micro aeration especially because of the operating variables, radius and membrane thickness. In general the reactors were efficient due the low sulfate yields. Thus the reactors proved are viable settings to the conversion of sulfide to elemental sulfur.

Previous issue date: 2016-11-09 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / This research presents a description and analysis of orthographic mistakes found in
written productions from students of 7th grade of elementary school, with the aim of
proposing activities that help them understand the writing operation in its standard
variant. The issues regarding to orthographic writing have reported a superficial work
of school in the understanding of the written code, the phonological awareness and
the arbitrariness of the language. Students demonstrate a misunderstanding of the
writing operation, transcribing their speech and registering dialectal marks. To
achieve the objective proposed, we based the research in theoretical and
mothodological assumptions of Applied Linguistics and in studies of authors such as:
Cagliari (1998, 2007, 2009), Bortoni-Ricardo (2004, 2005, 2006, 2008), Oliveira (
2005) and Morais (2007, 2010). We adopted the qualitative approach and the
method of action research. Intending to understand the processes by which the
student learn orthographic writing, after writing texts in different discursive genres,
mistakes were identified and cataloged based on Oliveira (2005), to verify the
occurrences and delimit the phenomena to be explored in Teaching Unit. Many
mistakes were identified arising from the arbitrariness of the language and mistakes
related to the presence of oral marks in writing. The teaching unit includes
production and writing fixing activities, trying to describe how the student performs
the understanding of the graphic language system. From reflections about speech
and writing and its principles, reading and writing practices is intended to engage
students in real situations of writing, to create na author´s position, taking the word in
all its dimensions. We hope that this work could help in working with writing,
specifically spelling in order to take the student to master the graphic code of the
language and expand their language skills.
As questões relacionadas à escrita ortográfica têm
A unidade didática contempla

Previous issue date: 2013-03-08 / Our purpose with this research is the analysis of liberalism in its historical process of
re-articulation. We do this analysis from the study of the theoretical propositions John
Dewey for elementary education that here understood like that designed to teach the
rudiments minimum for workers, as would say Adam Smith in the eighteenth century.
This study is justified by the need who we feel to deepen the theoretical basis to
enable us to analyze the social and educational policies implemented by liberal
states. We believe that the study of Dewey enables us to understand the implications
of liberalism for the educational field. In the introduction we present our object, the
organization of the study and considerations regarding the design of the State and
social policies that guide our analysis. In the section entitled “The liberal thinking in
its different phases," we describe some of the phases of the liberalism and its
processes of crisis and re-articulation with the capitalist system. In the third chapter,
we situate Dewey and the progressive school movement in the social, political and
economic development of the United States. In the section "John Dewey and the
propositions for elementary education: relations with the liberalism", we situate
Dewey's thought as a classic in dialogue with the social, political and economic
questions of their time and we present reflections on his proposals for the
elementary education. In closing remarks, we recovered some questions that were
presented throughout the text and we highlight our understanding that John Dewey,
like the other liberals of his time, feared to lose the command to the socialist or
fascist groups in ascendancy in the period. In this direction, the output proposed by
Keynes, in the second phase of liberalism, joined it to the educational model
proposed by Dewey, resulting in a broad ideological reform that got full support of the
capitalists, which reaches until today.
Entendemos
No terceiro capítulo,
Nessa direção, a saída proposta

Versicherung / Even after decades of scientific discourse, motor speed is still a controversial topic. The lack of a clear demarcation to the other phenomena of human motoric is causally. In the international comparison of theories, a clear delimitation of speed appears to be far more difficult. The theory concepts represented in the German-speaking space can be transferred only partly in those of the English-speaking literature. The theoretical foundation of this work is the assumption that the motoric speed consists of elementary and complex parts. For the elementary speed, as an object of this work the theoretical construct is laid to Voß, Witt and Werthner (2007). By empiric data from three cohorts, raised in the cross section design, the construct of elementary speed should be confirmed. Besides there stood the question, whether the elementary speed reveals clear achievement decreases already at the early adult’s age, how it generalising acceptances let partly assume to the speed in the literature. For the investigations, some of the motor test procedures were newly developed. Using an exploratory approach, the data were examined and the internal structure in the three cohorts was worked out using an exploratory factor analysis. As a result, the theoretically derived dimensionality of the elementary motor speed can be proved empirically. In this context, it becomes clear that the inner structure of the elementary speed from the child to the adult age apparently still experiences processes of differentiation. The cognition has hitherto been regarded as a factor determining the speed. From the results obtained, an independent dimension could also be concluded in the internal structure of elementary speed. There are controversial views in the literature as to whether speed is a local phenomenon limited to individual muscle groups. The present data indicate in this discussion that there is no local confinement:Abbildungsverzeichnis

Previous issue date: 2006-05-29 / nenhum / The purpose of the present study was to investigate which mathematical concepts, properties, and procedures, as well as settings (in terms of numerical, graphic, or other types of representation), are used by students of a 7th-grade class, in a private school in the city of São Paulo, when challenged to find solutions for mathematical activities. The activities involved framing rational numbers on rational intervals and were designed by teachers of that school, based on a proposal by a member of the same group of Algebra Education, at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, to which the author is affiliated that was developed from activities originally devised by Régine Douady (1986). Observation in the classroom covered four sessions and was conducted in the light of the case-study methodology and on the notion of tool object dialectic of Douady (1984). The analyses prioritized students written and oral productions that took form while they experienced the process of solving the activities proposed. The productions revealed that the students made use of interplay of two, three, or four of the following settings: numerical, native language, algebraic, and geometric. Several strategies for solution were devised, in which the students utilized as mathematical tools chiefly the notions of positive number, even number (with possible flaws in meaning), rational number (with possible flaws in meaning), multiplication, arithmetical average, segment, and numerical intervals (though with different meanings among the students). Other relations used were to be greater than, to be less than, and to be a multiple of, as were the order relations to be greater than of equal to and to be less than or equal to / A presente pesquisa teve o intuito de investigar quais conceitos, propriedades e procedimentos matemáticos, bem como quais domínios (em termos de representação numérica, gráfica e outras) são utilizados por estudantes de uma classe de sétima série do ensino fundamental de uma escola privada da cidade de São Paulo na resolução de atividades.

Previous issue date: 2008-02-13 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This work presents a qualitative study guided by the question Is it possible High
School students to make explicit knowledge on linear diofantine equations?', whose
relevance is justified from researches as met in Lopes Junior (2005), revealing that
High School students do not distinguish and they do not understand when the variable
assumes discrete or continuous value, as well as for the fact that Discrete
Mathematics are a relatively forgotten area on Pre-Universitary School, according to
Brolezzi (1996) and Jurkiewicz (2004). This study particularizes Elementar Number
Theory on High School, where researchers as Campbell and Zazkis (2002), Ferrari
(2002) and Resende (2007) emphasizes that problem resolution activities, in an
approach of concepts re-use as divisors and multiples, are propitious for heuristical
development, in a complementary and interrelated approach to Algebra, in compliance
with Maranhão, Machado e Coelho (2005). As methodological reference it was used
Didactical Engineering, described in Artigue (1996), to elaborate, to apply and to
analyze a didactical sequence. The written and oral manifestations indicated that
High School students had developed strategies, operacionalizing the concepts of
multiples and divisors, as well as had used the algebraic equation to search the whole
solutions on the proposed problem situations, thus making explicit knowledge involving
linear diofantine equations / Neste trabalho apresento um estudo qualitativo orientado pela questão É possível a
alunos do Ensino Médio explicitar conhecimentos sobre equações diofantinas
lineares?
conforme relatam Brolezzi (1996) e Jurkiewicz (2004).
situações-problema propostas, explicitando assim conhecimentos envolvendo
equações diofantinas lineares

Previous issue date: 2009-05-22 / Secretaria da Educação do Estado de São Paulo / This report refers to a case study that aimed to check the understanding and usage of the
variable for students of eighth grade, in questions that involving their symbolization,
interpretation and manipulation. Thus, we used a tool called the theoretical and

(2001). This model relates the skills necessary to understanding the three main uses of the
variable in school algebra: unknown number, general number and variables in functional
relationship. As a methodological tool it was used to design a questionnaire to identify the
meanings and uses of the variable by seventeen students of a public school in the city of São

Caraça (1954) summarize the concept of variable: the symbolic and substantial. The results
show the difficulty of symbolization, especially when it should be variable of roles in general

but also its coefficient. In procedures for manipulation, indicating a lack of interpretation of

The teaching sequence as a learning strategy for physical processes in geography classes during the II cicle of ensino fundamentalMachado, Júlio César Epifânio 10 May 2013 (has links)
This present work is part of a study group dedicated to Teaching Methodology of Geography. We investigate how does the overcoming of obstacles to learning an elementary physical process in classes of this discipline, organized through a teaching sequence. Its main contribution is to provide theoretical and methodological planning classes of Geography to Ensino Fundamental II, aiming to work with themes and concepts common to Physical Geography. This work is supported by classic and contemporary authors that deal with learning, construction of knowledge and geographical concepts (PIAGET, 1948/2005; BACHELARD, 1938/2008; MEIRIEU, 2000; CAMILLONI, 1997; CASTELLAR; VILHENA, 2010; MONBEIG, 1956; SANTOS, 1997; ROSS, 2006, among others). We demonstrate and analyze the process of learning a concept in the context of a school routine and according to the geographical and pedagogical assumptions adopted, which allowed us to establish a relationship between theory and practice, and from this experience, theorising our experienced practice.

Psicologia, marketing e experiência elementar: implicações para o desenvolvimento do conceito de consumidor / Psychology, Marketing and Elementary Experience: implications for the consumer concept.Justo, Carmen Silvia Porto Brunialti 15 August 2014 (has links)
The main objective of this research is to understand how Psychology theories have contributed to the formation of current consumer concept, especially regarding the proposal of Elementary experience, which is founded on a personal conception of the human being. This historical investigation research is inserted within the scope of the history of Marketing, of Scientific Psychology, as well as the Consumer Psychology, in the period encompassing the end of the 19th century and the 20th century. In the beginning of the 20th century, Marketing as a science was structured and gained space in the academic field as an independent discipline, apart from Economics, thus enabling the appearance of this study area and activity. The social and economic conditions of the United States at the turn of the 20th century made the approximation of the areas of Marketing and Psychology possible, mainly in the academic environment and in the laboratories of experimental research, through behavior, memory, motivational and learning researches. The creation of Division 23 (Consumer Psychology Division) in the APA American Psychology Association in the sixties has legitimated the studies on this specific area, which originated the area of Marketing and consumers behavioral studies. The development of modern Marketing, as of the end of the 20th century, carries on the interface influences between those two areas, suggesting the possibility of relating the concept of consumer to the concept of human being, in a more personal sense, but without the proper anthropological and philosophical grounding. The search for a founding basis, which could support those tendencies by enlarging the discussions regarding the consumer concept in todays world, has led us to approach the proposal of the Elementary experience, by Luigi Giussani (2009). The choice of this approach for discussing the consumer concept lies on the fact that establishes the proposition of analyses to be made about the individual, whose depth may supply a more rigorous foundation for this theme. The conclusion emerges from the idea that there is a possibility of considering a consumer as an individual in the 21st century, and that the approach based on these new Marketing tendencies tries to make possible a more humane perspective for this activity.
