Evropské patentové soudnictví / European Patent Judiciary

Holá, Jitka January 2015 (has links)
The dissertation examines current European patent court system and the possibilities of its improvement. First of all it identifies main problems of the existing fragmented patent litigation and in response to those findings, examines possible solutions to the situation. First, it deals with the possibility of adopting certain measures to improve the current situation, while maintaining the current system, in which national courts remain competent in patent disputes. The second option is linked to the issue of creating new specialized European patent jurisdiction. Thus the dissertation chronologically analyses individual legislative proposals and documents on the creation of a specialized European patent court system at supranational (EU) and international level. Namely Community Patent Convention (1975), Protocol on Litigation to the Agreement relating to Community Patents (1989), draft EPLA (European Patent Litigation Agreement 2003), proposals on decisions establishing Community Patent Court (2003) and draft Agreement on the European and Community Patents Court (2009). Separate section is devoted to the most recent Agreement on Unified Patent Court opened only to EU Member States, which was signed early in 2013 by most of them. The main objective of the research is to answer the question whether...

Magenheimová, Kateřina January 2018 (has links)
Infant mortality in the Czech Republic and Europe: trends and patterns Abstract This Master's thesis addresses the development of infant mortality in the Czech Republic between the years 1950 and 2016 using more detailed indicators of infant mortality. To evaluate the impact of infant mortality rate, on the lengthening life expectancy at birth in the Czech Republic and selected European countries, a decomposition of life tables is included. Selected European countries are then compared with the use of cluster analysis, based on infant mortality indicators and life expectancy at birth by sex. Finally, an analysis is made on the basis of infant life tables which are calculated by sex, birth weight and legitimacy for the Czech Republic. Keywords: infant mortality, Czech Republic, European countries, tables of infant mortality, sex, child-legitimacy, birth weight, decomposition, cluster analysis

Aktéři lokálního rozvoje (Kácov, Chlum, Tichonice, Kladruby) / Participants in local development (Kácov, Chlum, Tichonice, Kladruby)

Jirků, Markéta January 2016 (has links)
The main aim of this thesis is to compare and evaluate the importance of social activities, whether and how it contributes to quality and to the development of local life and local communities in the surveyed municipalities Chlum, Tichonice and Kladruby (municipalities under three hundred inhabitants) and compare the social activity of these municipalities with the thee times bigger township Kácov. The aim of this thesis is to find out the reason why smaller municipalities under three hundred inhabitants appear to be as active as the larger township. The theoretical part defines the terminology related to the topic. The empirical part of the work consists of secondary and comparative data analysis of actors, activities, and community amenities. Secondary and comparative data analysis showed that social life in small municipalities is varied and rich especially in entertainment, cultural and sport activities. Compared to the bigger township there is less folklore and education activities in smaller municipalities. It was found that the most active municipality is Kladruby with the activity ratio to population of 5,3%, followed by Tichonice with 3,6%, township Kácov with 3,3% and Chlum with 3%. It came out that there is not a direct correlation between the number of actors and social activity of the municipality. The activity of individual actors is different. It means that it is not the truth, that the more groups of actors are in the municipality, the more activities are held by the actors in the municipality. It was found that township Kácov disposes with the most diverse community amenities. Despite of a noticeable impact of community amenities on regularity of organizing activities, this factor is not the only condition for organizing activities. Deficiencies in community amenities can be partially replaced by well-functioning common organizing activities by actors, what is the factor what differentiate smaller municipalities from the large township. Exogenous approach was, over the last ten years, evident in all of the examined municipalities. There was obtained and invested financial resources to the municipalities community amenities, which allowed organizing new activities or continuing with organizing of existing activities. The empirical survey was carried out through semi-structured interviews with the actors operating in the public and nonprofit sector in the examined municipalities. A key factor in the activity organizing is community involvement connected with the mutual cooperation of individual actors (i.e. a combination of utilization of actor´s cultural and social capital). Smaller municipalities may not seem, to the interviewees actors, as active as three times bigger township. Reasons why smaller municipalities may seem as active as the larger township are more significant community involvement and a higher rate of cooperation between actors in organizing activities in smaller communities. The social life plays an important role in all of the examined communities - especially in creating and maintaining interpersonal relationships, in strengthening social cohesion, preserving the traditions and creating the relationship with the place. It was found and confirmed how important endogenous approach (active actor) in development of examined communities is. With the proper supplementation and harmonization with exogenous approach can be the endogenous approach further stimulated.

Informovanost žáků na vybraných základních školách v Českých Budějovicích o poskytování laické první pomoci / The Awareness of Pupils in Selected Primary Schools in České Budějovice of Non-Professional First Aid Administration

KUČEROVÁ, Olga January 2010 (has links)
The thesis is devoted to the issue of non-professional first aid provision. Everyone should have knowledge of first aid procedures, because in the Czech Republic there is a statutory duty to provide first aid. It is therefore necessary to start training as soon as possible, already in school-aged children. The thesis is focused on pupils of 8th grade of primary schools in České Budějovice and their knowledge of first aid. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part basic information on first aid is given. News and changes brought about by global directive in resuscitation Guidelines 2005. It also gives and account of individual diseases with brief descriptions, causes and emergency procedures. The last two chapters are focused on the Red Cross activities and first aid training in schools. The practical part examines the attitude of pupils to first-aid provision and their first aid knowledge. In this section, the following two objectives and hypotheses were stated: The first objective is to determine the pupils´ interest to get involved in first aid training. The other objective is to monitor the first aid knowledge and skills of primary school pupils before and after the training implementation. Hypothesis 1 assumes that primary school pupils are interested in obtaining information relating to first aid. The second hypothesis determines if the pupils´ awareness got improved after the training. To meet the goals of the thesis quantitative research was used. To pupils interested in the issue, professional instruction in first aid, led by a worker of the Red Cross in České Budějovice, was provided. Based on the pre and post test, a questionnaire survey was carried out when the pupils responded in writing to questions in two questionnaires. The first questionnaire contained 19 and the second 21 questions. Total 122 questionnaires were distributed. The goals of the thesis were met and after the questionnaires evaluation, both my hypothesis were confirmed. The research has shown the pupils' interest in the issue and a better understanding after the training. In order to improve basic first aid knowledge in primary school pupils it would certainly be beneficial to put emphasis on first aid training in schools.
