To give more explanation to the entire picture of the energetic situation in the Czech Republic we have to analyze the current potential situation of renewable and non renewable resources, the quality of electrical distribution network, the framework of available energy resources in the Czech Republic, the costs of producing energy and its impact on the environment. The current global trend in most developed countries is the development of renewable energy sources but, this is not the current case in the Czech Republic which has in its plans to reach its target set by the European Union for the year 2020 . But, instead the Czech Republic would like to set a different goal and decrease the use of renewable energy resources and increase the use of nuclear energy. The support of the analysis policy for renewable energy sources in the Czech Republic is measured in comparison with the European Union, the United States of America and the Peoples Republic of China. The main goal is to evaluate this policies support for renewable energy sources in the Czech Republic and for its possible improvement.

Budoucnost evropského mezinárodního práva soukromého / Future of the European Private International Law

Johnová, Gabriela January 2009 (has links)
The European international private law has undergone a dynamic development during the last twenty years. It can be assumed that this development will continue con-sidering the increasing need for dealing with the legal relations involving a cross-border element, which arise thanks to the exercise of the freedom of movement of goods, capital, services, and people in the frame of the European Union. The experts in international private law discuss the directions of its future development. Should it continue the same or similar direction as until now, i.e. the unification of individual in-struments and conclusion of international agreements (limited with the EU competen-ces), or should it take the direction of a comprehensive codification of the European conflict of laws? The last considered direction is the adoption of a comprehensive common code on private law, i.e. a code of the private substantive law rules. Neverthe-less, this possibility deals with the diversity of the law cultures and the law orders among the EU member states.

The master's thesis focuses on the role of the European Commission in the adoption of the Public Service Law (zákon č. 234/2014 Sb., o státní službě) in the Czech Republic. Its goal is to identify particular European Commission's tools of influence and their utilisation in the analysed case. The case study puts stress not only on hard methods (such as ex ante conditionality), but also on soft forms of influence (e.g. socialisation or persuasion). The Commission's tools were sorted according to Frank Schimmelfennig and Ulrich Sedelmeier's typology: 1) External-Incentive-Model; 2) Social-Learning- Model and 3) Lesson-Drawing-Model. The thesis combines two methodological approaches - process tracing and discursive analysis of relevant Czech actors. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews and publically accessible documents.
