A mudança organizacional (MO) é uma iniciativa realizada por empresas que buscam adequar sua atuação em conformidade com a demanda do mercado. No entanto, estudos realizados apontam alto índice de insucessos e desistências das empresas em reestruturar-se, pois se trata de uma iniciativa complexa. Portanto, para realizar este processo de melhoria organizacional, uma MO depende de muitos fatores para obter o resultado esperado, dentre estes, sistemáticas de apoio para o desenvolvimento da iniciativa, bem como a gestão dos fatores críticos de sucesso (FCS). A complexidade de uma MO pode-se agravar em entidades que se caracterizam por interferências políticas na sua atuação, trocas periódicas de mandato, complexidade na mensuração de ganhos dos produtos e serviços, entre outros. Dado isto, esta dissertação objetiva estruturar e propor uma sistemática de apoio para MO em entidades do tipo federações de indústrias, respeitando suas características e buscando a contribuição positiva dos fatores críticos de sucesso. A metodologia empregada foi a de estudo de caso. This thesis discusses factors of success in the process of new business venturing and growth in current business environment. It employs a sample of 200 entrepreneurial cases documented through interviews which were each broken into over 40 mainly quantitative criteria. Aided by simple statistical tools this result is then analyzed and evaluated, leading to a thorough analysis of each of the aspects discussed and finally culminating in conclusion stating which factors are the most significant. Besides purely academic interest, conclusions of this thesis could be of interest to both actual and prospective entrepreneurs.

Perceived Factors that Contributed to the Success of College Students with Dyslexia

The purpose of this pilot project was to determine the factors or supports that college graduates perceived as helping them to thrive and attempt higher education, despite having a learning disability, specifically dyslexia. Based on the literature review, this pilot study examined the four main kinds of support that most students receive while growing up; including family support, peer support, teacher support, and support from other programs and resources. The specific research question explored: What encouraged or discouraged these now adults in their pivotal growing years in regards to dyslexia? This pilot study used a mixed-methods research design which included an anonymous online survey and interview. With only one interview completed a single-case study was derived. The results of this pilot study are shared, including implications for educators and suggestions for future research. What was found is that all four highlighted sources of support played a role in the lives of the participants. The common thread that wove them altogether was socioemotional support provided by those sources.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how some students in the early school years experience their literary learning environment, as well as their own thoughts and experiences of how the learning environment can be designed to support them in developing their literacy skills. The theoretical framework is a sociocultural perspective on learning. The survey was conducted as a group interview with students in third grade. The questions focused on how students experience a positive learning environment, and a learning environment that adversely affects their reading and writing skills. The study also examines the students’ views on how the learning environment can be developed. The results show that students at the beginning of the study did not attach any importance to the learning environment in terms of developing their literacy skills. But in the continued discussion they became aware of a number of factors that they believe characterizes a positive literary learning environment. The individual teacher’s attitude and interaction with the students is considered the single most important factor to achieve a literary learning environment that stimulates their reading and writing skills. The students also believe that there is a potential for the development of the literary learning environment, particularly the physical aspects and they give a number of concrete suggestions for improvements, such as expanded access to books and furniture that is more suited for literary activities. In the research review some factors for success are discernible as individual teachers’ attitudes and skills, a structured environment and an environment that provides physical access to reading material. / Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur några elever i de tidiga skolåren upplever sin litterära lärmiljö, samt deras egna tankar och erfarenheter kring hur lärmiljö kan utformas för att stötta dem i deras läs- och skrivutveckling. Studien analyseras utifrån ett sociokulturellt perspektiv på lärande. Undersökningen har genomförts i form av en gruppintervju med elever i årskurs tre. Frågeställningarna har fokuserat hur eleverna upplever en positiv lärmiljö, respektive en lärmiljö som inverkar negativt på deras läs- och skrivutveckling. Likaså utforskar studien vilka möjligheter eleverna ser för utveckling av lärmiljön. I resultatet framgår att eleverna inledningsvis inte tillmäter lärmiljön någon betydelse för deras läs- och skrivutveckling. I diskussionen blir de emellertid medvetna om en rad faktorer som de tycker utmärker en positiv litterär lärmiljö. Den enskilde lärarens bemötande och interaktion med eleverna betraktas som den i särklass viktigaste faktorn för att åstadkomma en litterär lärmiljö som stimulerar deras läs- och skrivutveckling. Eleverna anser även att det finns utvecklingspotential för den litterära lärmiljön, framförallt de fysiska aspekterna och ger en rad konkreta förbättringsförslag, såsom till exempel en större tillgång till böcker samt möbler som är mer anpassade för litterära aktiviteter. I forskningsöversikten har vissa framgångsfaktorer kunnat skönjas, som till exempel enskilda lärares förhållningssätt och kompetens, en strukturerad miljö, en miljö som erbjuder fysisk tillgång till läsmaterial.

In recent years the subject, strategical alignment, has been treated for several authors of the area as an important tool of enterprising management, which provides to the company, conditions to act in way integrated with its business-oriented areas, optimizing resources in order to reach efficiently its objectives. This study it was done in two great companies, with the proposal to know how they make possible the strategical alignment among the Information Technology and Business Plans to guide the internal and external actions of each company being aimed the market demands where they act. This reseach used the multicase and collected data methods through an instrument adapted for this study and semi-structuralized interviews, on the basis of the models of Strategical Alignment by Henderson and Venkatraman (1993), Maturity of Alignment by Luftman (2000) and described the Critical Factors of Success by Teo and Ang (1998) as strategical alignment facilitators. Since the analysis from the answers, the orientation of the strategical alignment of each company can be identified, as well as the level of maturity of it among the IT area and other areas of business from the same ones and, the critical factors of success that also must deserve special attention of the management, to enhance the possibilities of a successful relationship among the Strategical Information Technology Plans and Strategical business Plans. The results of the research presented elements that will serve of base for future studies, pointing out the importance of the balance that must exist among the areas of business with the area of IT to any company, to optimize the performance and reach the desired effectiveness / O tema alinhamento estratégico, nos últimos anos, tem sido tratado por diversos autores da área como uma importante ferramenta de gestão empresarial que proporciona a empresa, condições de atuar de maneira integrada com suas áreas de negócios, otimizando recursos a fim de alcançar eficazmente seus objetivos. Este estudo foi realizado em duas empresas de grande porte, com o propósito de conhecer como viabilizam o alinhamento estratégico entre os Planos de Tecnologia da Informação e os Planos de Negócio para orientar as ações internas e externas de cada empresa visando atender as demandas do mercado em que atuam. O método de pesquisa utilizado foi o multicaso e os dados coletados através de um instrumento de pesquisa adaptado para este estudo e de entrevistas semi-estruturadas, com base nos modelos de Alinhamento Estratégico de Henderson e Venkatraman (1993), de Maturidade de Alinhamento de Luftman (2000) e dos Fatores Críticos de Sucesso descritos por Teo e Ang (1998) como viabilizadores do alinhamento estratégico. A partir da análise das respostas, pode-se identificar a orientação do alinhamento estratégico de cada empresa, bem como o nível de maturidade do alinhamento estratégico entre a área de TI e as demais áreas de negócio e os fatores críticos de sucesso que, também, devem merecer atenção especial da gerência para realçar as possibilidades de um relacionamento bem sucedido, entre o Plano Estratégico de Tecnologia da Informação (PETI) e o Plano Estratégico de Negócios (PEN). For in such a way the same it understands the culture and the management of the family companies of success, identifies the essential areas of performance, it establishes the restrictive factors of the success, and analyzes the level of influence of the critical factors of success in the competitiveness of this type of company. In function of the subject little to be explored, and of this study to provide a general vision concerning the factors that take the family companies to get success, this research is explorer. On the other hand, for describing characteristic of the familiar companies in prominence in the local scene and for being worried about the practical performance, the same one also is descriptive. The sample in turn is the not-probabilist one of the intentional type, for accessibility. For operacionalization of the collection of data, the direct contact was used, being the composed instrument of research for variable as management, culture, critical factors of success and competitiveness. The study it evidences that in regards to the management and the culture of the family companies of success, some variable are turned aside from the standard of the conventional family companies cited by literature. Of general form in the familiar companies of success it has a bigger level of professionalization of the management. As for the value given to the knowledge, the study sample that the conventional family companies give little importance to it, in contrast of the family companies in prominence, who value of significant form the search for the knowledge. He is demonstrated despite the family companies of success, even so total are not professionalized, possess a bigger level of professionalization of the management, ratifying of certain forms the reason for which the majority develops the Strategical Planning formal periodically. In short, the results point 17 critical factors of success with respect to the family companies, in special factors as the product quality and services, and the use of the technology / O presente estudo objetiva identificar os fatores cr?ticos de sucesso das empresas familiares locais dentro de uma abordagem competitiva. Para tanto o mesmo compreende a cultura e a gest?o das empresas familiares de sucesso, identifica as ?reas de performance essenciais, estabelece os fatores restritivos do sucesso, e analisa o n?vel de influ?ncia dos fatores cr?ticos de sucesso na competitividade deste tipo de empresa. Em fun??o do tema ser pouco explorado, e desse estudo proporcionar uma vis?o geral acerca dos fatores que levam as empresas familiares a obterem sucesso, esta pesquisa ? explorat?ria. Por outro lado, por descrever caracter?sticas das empresas familiares em destaque no cen?rio local e por estar preocupada com a atua??o pr?tica, a mesma tamb?m ? descritiva. No que se refere ao valor dado ao conhecimento, o estudo mostra que as empresas familiares convencionais o d?o pouca import?ncia, ao contr?rio das empresas familiares em destaque, que valorizam de forma significativa a busca pelo conhecimento. Retrospective analysis of cross-cultural differences in people's beliefs about strategies for getting ahead in life - comparison of the Czech Republic and Russia Abstract This thesis addresses the concept of getting ahead in life. Life success strategies are the set of subjective values which individuals consider to be important for achieving goals. Even though the perceptions of these strategies are flexible, there is a common pattern presented in different countries and it is changing throughout time. The main life success strategies for both populations of the Czech Republic and Russian Federation have been identified. The similarity of the factor formation can be seen for both countries; however, the variance of the strategies differs. The factor and regression analyses have been used for the identification of the strategies and the attributes which explain them. The paper can be also improved by extending the list of variables of economic attributes and individual social background. These attributes would be beneficial for future studies to fulfil the knowledge of the subject.

En studie av Stockholmshem och Skanskas tre projekt genomförda i samverkan / A study of three partnering projects between Stockholmshem and Skanska

Detta examensarbete är en studie av tre projekt som genomförts i samverkan mellan Stockholmshem och Skanska. De tre projekten, Främlingsvägen, Kv. Golvläggaren och Kv. Syllen, är uppförda mellan 2012-2019 och kan ses som tre efterföljande projekt då förutsättningarna på många sätt påminner om varandra även om husen i sig skiljer sig åt. Alla tre projekt har bland annat utförts i totalentreprenad i samverkan där beställaren och entreprenören tillsammans bildat en projektorganisation som utformat gemensamma mål inför varje projekt. Dessutom har flera medarbetare från båda projektorganisationerna och övriga involverade företag varit återkommande i flera av projekten. Gemensamt för de tre projekten är också att samtliga bedöms ha varit framgångsrika på flera sätt. Syftet med studien är därför att undersöka vilka framgångsfaktorer som varit bidragande till projektens framgång. Syftet är också att identifiera projektens utmaningar, i vilken utsträckning samverkan bidragit till projektens lyckosamma utfall och vad som skulle kunna överföras till ett eventuellt fjärde projekt. Studiens omfattning har avgränsats till projektering, produktion, överlämning samt till en kategori för övrigt. I arbetet med datainsamling till studien har ett antal intervjuer genomförts tillsammans med en litteraturstudie och samtal med sakkunniga inom relevanta delar i byggbranschen. Studiens resultat visar att något som varit särskilt framstående i alla tre projekt är samarbetet mellan Stockholmshem och Skanska med en väl fungerande projektorganisation. Kommunikation och öppenhet berättas ha genomsyrat projekten och bidragit till ett personligt engagemang och en vilja att göra sitt yttersta. Resultatet visar också att projektens lyckosamma utfall inte varit möjligt utan de nyckelpersoner som varit involverade och att erfarenheter från de tidigare projekten kunnat nyttjas till de efterkommande. Vad gäller samverkan ställer sig majoriteten av de intervjuade positiva till metoden för att strukturera upp en projektorganisations samarbete, även om de anser att det inte är avgörande. I resultatet framgår också att projekten haft en del utmaningar med främst projekteringen då vissa handlingar varit otillräckliga och samordningen av underentreprenörerna uppgetts som svår. Det framgår även att den dynamiska arbetsmarknaden i Stockholm medför svårigheter med att behålla nyckelpersoner och att hantera medarbetare som slutar. I kapitlet Analys återges en sammanställning av projektens främsta framgångsfaktorer och utmaningar. I kapitlet Diskussion redogörs utförligare kring några av dessa där det bland annat framkommer att flera framgångsfaktorer är beroende av varandra. Exempelvis hade det goda samarbetet mellan parterna förmodligen inte varit detsamma utan de nyckelpersoner som varit involverade. Att nyckelpersoner stannat har också betytt att erfarenheter från de tidigare projekten kunnat överföras på ett sätt som annars inte varit möjligt. Det framgår också att samverkan är en metod som blir allt vanligare i byggbranschen vilket tyder på ett visst paradigmskifte där det finns en efterfrågan om ett tätare samarbete mellan beställare och entreprenör med mer fokus på de mjuka parametrarna. I rapportens slutsats framgår det att samverkan i sig inte är en garanti för att lyckas med ett projekt men att det kan ses som ett verktyg för att styra en projektorganisations samarbete åt en önskvärd riktning. Metoden syftar till att öka medvetenheten gällande gruppdynamiken hos en arbetsgrupp vilket är viktigt för att utvecklas till ett högpresterande team. Det är därför inte anmärkningsvärt att det är just nyckelpersonerna och samarbetet mellan beställaren och entreprenören som anses vara projektens primära framgångsfaktorer. / This bachelor thesis is a study about three partnering projects between Skanska and Stockholmshem. The projects, Främlingsvägen, Kv. Golvläggaren and Kv. Syllen were constructed during 2012-2019 and are considered to be connected to each other due to their similar prerequisites, even though the house design differs between the projects. For example, several of the employees from the project organization, and from other companies, have been involved in more than one project. All three projects have also been constructed in a managed partnering turnkey contract where the client and the building contractor have formed a mutual project organization with mutual ambitions. One other thing that the projects have in common is that all of them are told to have been successful in many ways. The purpose with this study is therefore to investigate which factors that have been contributing to the progress of the projects. The purpose is also to identify the projects challenges, to what extent the concept of partnering has been contributing to the successful outcome and what can be transferred to a potential fourth project. The delimitation of the study has been narrowed down to project planning, construction, handover and a category for other aspects. To collect data and information, a number of interviews were carried through together with a literature study and informative conversations with experts within relevant areas in the construction industry. The result of the thesis tells that the collaboration between Skanska and Stockholmshem, together with a well-functioning project organization, have been two important factors behind the projects successful outcome. According to the interview candidates, communication and openness have been the underlying foundations throughout the projects. Among the employees, this have encouraged to a personal commitment and created a will for the project organization to work their best. Something else that is presented in the result is that the involved key figures and the gained experiences from the previous constructed projects are two other important reasons behind the successful outcome. When it comes to having a structured collaboration within the project organization, the majority of the interview candidates have positive mindset about partnering as a method, however, they do not consider the method to be the decisive factor for if a project will succeed or not. Some of the mentioned challenges that the projects have been struggling with are the project planning, insufficient documents and coordination of the subcontractors. The current labor market in Stockholm is also presented to be a challenge where there are difficulties with keeping key figures and dealing with employees quitting. A summary of the primary factors of success and challenges, based on the three projects, is found within the chapter of Analyze. The discussion is about some of these factors where it is found that many of the succeeded factors are relying on each other. For example, the good collaboration between the parties probably would not have been the same without the projects key figures. That several key figures have been involved in more than one project have meant that experiences from previous projects have been transferred to the next project, in a way that otherwise would not have been possible. It also emerges that partnering as a cooperation method is increasing within the construction industry, this indicates a certain movement of pattern where there is a demand for closer cooperation between the client and the contractor with more focus on the soft parameters. The conclusion of the study is that partnering itself may not be the solution to everything but that the method should be seen as a tool for managing the collaboration in a project organization towards a desirable direction. The method aims to increase awareness about group dynamics in a project organization, which is important for the process of evolving into a high-performing team. Therefore, it is not surprising that it is the key figures and the cooperation between the client and the contractor that are considered to be the primary factors of success for these projects.
