Surgeons of Prague in historical sources of 18th and 19th century Abstract This diploma thesis uses the archival sources on the surgeons' guild and the papers of the central authorities to explore the position of the surgeons within the medical structure in modern times. All the materials are taken from Prague City Archives, The National Archives and Archive of Charles University in Prague (e.g. laws and statutes, registers of all types, statutes of the guild or university charters, personal documents of the guilds' members). The text is focused on surgeons' gaining independence compared with doctors of medicine and moving away from barbers craft organization. The process of their transition under the supervision of the medical faculty and the official start of surgical studies at the university are examined. Furthermore, the study includes an analysis of the role of the guild, the social status of the surgeons in Prague and the character of their education including transformation in this field during the Enlightenment reforms till the revolutionary year 1848. This thesis deals with the existence of the Association of Czechoslovak Lawyers Všehrd in the interwar period. The work follows the institutional history of the league and the world of ideas of its members. It deals with the requirements and expectations of the management association in the background of social issues and nationalist sentiments, which tended association especially in the thirties of the 20th century. The work relies on federal sources provenance and representative selection of newspaper articles. The aim is to describe the functioning of the inter-war fraternity as well as outline the trends emerging in the student movement of the First Republic. Juridical Association as the second oldest and largest Czech student association will serve as a suitable representative of these organizations. Work is also interested in the relationship Czech law students to the state, foreign nationals, other student's associations and the Czechoslovak Germans. On the basis of the dispute between the federal leadership and the opposition the work monitors political tendencies within the student movement. This thesis aims to contribute to complete the picture of the interwar Czechoslovak society.

The dissertation called The Life and Work of Professor Otto Rutrle deals with the fate and work of a practical theologian from the second generation of The Czechoslovak Church (Hussite). Introductory chapter is dedicated to Karel Farský, the first patriarch of The Czechoslovak Church (Hussite). It also describes the circumstances of the birth of The Czechoslovak Church (Hussite) and its first years of existence. The second chapter follows Gustav Adolf Procházka, the second patriarch of The Czechoslovak Church (Hussite). The chapter also deals with a fight of The Czechoslovak Church (Hussite) to obtain its own university. The education of theology students is the topic for the third chapter. It describes the education of theology students from the foundation of the church to the year 1990. The main part of the dissertation deals with the life and work of Professor Otto Rutrle, his activity in the church and also on theology faculties. His work on a practical theology is divided to subchapters accordingly to respective subjects.

This thesis deals with the analysis of informatics fields of study taught at public universities in the Czech Republic. The aim is to describe degree courses and their comparison with the teaching of informatics at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics of the University of Economics in Prague. At the end the courses taught at FIS University of Economics in Prague are confronted with the statistics of graduates based on information from a database of personal agency Grafton Recruitment. Based on this are defined recommendations for further improvement of teaching of informatics at FIS University of Economics in Prague.

Ve své práci se zabývám problematikou vzniku druhého hraného českého flmu po roce 2000. Snažím se popsat a zanalyzovat různé cesty vzniku druhého filmy, upozorňuji na hrozby a specifika, které s sebou vznik druhého filmu nese. V Neposlední řadě se snažím zmapovat mladou českou scénu po roce 2000, kde poukazuji na fakt, že mladý český film je momentálně v nejlepší kondici.

The diploma work deals with the proffesional development of the first graduates of bachelor studies The General Nurse at The Faculty of Health and Social Studies of the University of South Bohemia since their graduation till the present. The goal of this work was to ascertain the opinions about the bachelor studies of the discipline General Nurse at the The Faculty of Health and Social Studies of the University of South Bohemia, namely of the first graduates of this discipline. The goal was to find out, how the studies and their succesfull graduation affected their proffesional career and social credit. Moreover to ascertain the attitude of the first graduates of the discipline The General Nurse at the The Faculty of Health and Social Studies of the University of South Bohemia to follow-up master's degree study Nursing care by selected clinical branches at The University of South Bohemia. The diploma work is divided into two parts ? the theoretic and empiric. The theoretic part deals with nursing and the conclusive part is educational. It includes the history and equipment of the nursing and the education of nurses in the Czech Republic, afterwards the problems of the profession of nurses and the related legislation . The educational part deals with the attitude as a social problem and the evaluation of the university education of the students themselves. In the empiric part of the diploma work were chosen both the quantitive and qualitative methods of an investigation research. The quantitive research had the form of a anonymous questionnaire for the first graduates of bachelor studies The General Nurse at The Faculty of Health and Social Studies of the University of South Bohemia. There were determined four assumptions. The results of the investigation have been processed into charts and tables. For the qualitative part of the survey research has been used in-depth unstructured interview, which was realised with the selected graduates. The results of the qualitative investigation have been adapted in the form of transcription of the interview. The results of this work can be used as an informational materiál for students and tutors of The Department of Nursing at The Faculty of Health and Social Studies of the University of South Bohemia. The results can help to be well informed in the education of nurses and to realise, which field of study needs to be strengthened.

This diploma work raises the issues of preconcepts for didactics of students of teaching, deals with the perception of those concepts by primary school teachers, and subsequently with their diagnosis. The aim of this work is to find out to what extent the perception of some chosen didactic concepts are connected comparing students of pedagogical faculty and experienced primary school teachers. The theoretical part aims to define the concepts involved in the research and concerns with constructivists didactics. In the practical part the data relating to preconcepts were found and processed by method of semantic differential.

The fair trade is a concept that comes with better conditions for producers of the developing countries. It aims to improve their social, economic and environmental profile. If we want to describe fair trade market in South Bohemia Region, we have to deal with points of sale and customer's preferences. The growing phenomenon of the fair trade is also caused by many campaigns and projects supporting its philosophy.

In my thesis, I am finding out about the attitudes of students of the health and social faculty towards their own future occupation prospects. Although the unemployment situation in the Czech Republic as well as the situation in the South Region is favorable, graduates and young people are among the most vulnerable groups in the labor market. The first chapter describes the theoretical background of this issue. This part defines the overall unemployment problems of the Czech Republic, unemployment in the South Region. It describes the labor market and students situation is described based on the educational attainment and then their situation in the Czech Republic is compared to the similar situation abroad. Then it also describes the faculty and defines the issues of helping professions covered by the fields of the faculty. The aim of my thesis was to find out what the students of the faculty imagine when asked of their future occupation. They would like to stay in the field which they graduated from and then why they would want to stay in it or why not. The results show that students of the faculty want to stay in the field they graduated from on the labor market in the future. The research was conducted via questionnaire. In the practical part of the thesis I compared the attitudes of students of health and social fields. I also compared the attitudes of students who are studying in bachelor's program and students who continue their studies in the follow-up study. When it comes to comparison between the social and health studies, it is possible to see the differences in the attitudes of students, as well as the comparison of bachelor and master programs. Thesis may be beneficial for the employment deparment of Czech Republic and for the health and social faculty. Furthermore it may also be beneficial for representatives of state administration who monitor and control the whole system of tertiary education.

Ecclesiology of Antonín Salajka (1901-1975) The following work presents an ecclesiological analysis of the publication by prof. Antonín Salajka (1901-1975). In the first part, it submits the biography of the author. This author was the first czech catholic priest laureated in Pontifical Institute of Oriental Studies in Rome (in 1930). In the second part, it closely inteprets the very ecclesiology of the author itself. Salajka - theologist is introduced from several perspectives as well. First we supplied a suggestion for periodization of his scientific work. There we proposed two periods in congruence with a paradigm change of ecclesiastic-social circumstances, including changes of theological studies, which evidently affected our author's life and scientific work. The two proposed periods are: (1) 1930-1950, i.e. scientifically paramount and fundamental; (2) 1950-1975. Further, we introduced areas which fell under Salajka's interest: unionism, eastern christian churches and the problem of christian unification, eastern dogmatic theology, Church Slavonic, the study of christian East, dogmatic theology, so called theologia comparata, but also ecumenism, theological realisation, method in theology, fundamental theology, moral theology, last but not least pedagogical activity.
