Da \"La Chasse-Galerie\" à Canoa Voadora: quase a mesma lenda: leitura sob o olhar de um brasileiro / From \"La Chasse-Galerie\" to The Flying Canoe: almost the same legend: a reading under the eyes of a Brazilian

Soler, Ricardo Antonio 26 April 2013 (has links)
The object of study of the present research is the translation processes and their difficulties. Based on La Chasse-Galerie, the piece of the French-Canadian writer Marie-Louis-Honoré Beaugrand (1848-1906), we aim at demonstrating the various cultural and linguistic aspects present in the mentioned work as well as the methods we used to reach a translation capable of transmitting to the target language the same meanings and feelings expressed in the original language of the tale without making the piece strange to the readers eyes. To meet this goal, we used the translation theory by Eco (2007), according to which something translated never says the same thing, but nearly, and by Berman (2002), because he believes an effective translation is the one which allows the reader to recognize traces of the source text, that is, traces of the original culture.

Guidage et pilotage d’un remorqueur magnétique spatial / Guidance and Control of Magnetic Space Tug

Fabacher, Emilien 08 December 2016 (has links)
Satellite tugging can be undertaken for various reasons: de-orbiting or reorbiting, necessary in the case of satellites at the end-of-life, or for instance to finalise launches,in which case this manoeuvre would increase the capacity of launchers’ upper stages. Severalmeans can be considered to modify the orbit of a target satellite by tugging it with anothersatellite. Contact-less concepts are interesting, as they provide a way to avoid standardisedinterfaces and hazardous docking phases. They also help to prevent the creation of new debrisby reducing the risk of collision. In this thesis, we suggest using magnetic forces to tug the target. Indeed many satellites, especially in Low Earth Orbit, are equipped with Magnetic Torque Bars used for attitudecontrol. A chaser satellite equipped with a powerful magnetic dipole could hence generateforces on the target. However, creating a force between two magnetic dipoles automaticallycreates torque on both of them. Therefore, the feasibility of magnetic tugging is a priori notassured, considering that applying constant torques on both satellites would not be acceptable.

Influencers, följarna och flyget : Kan influencers påverka följares flygvanor? / Influencers, the followers and aviation : Can influencers affect the flying habits of their followers?

Bertilsson, Linn January 2019 (has links)
Followers of social media influencers has been shown be strongly affected by the information that influencers pass out and mediate through their channels. To this date though, no studies have examined the flying habits of influencers and how they can affect and reflect on the flying habits of their followers. This study therefore intended to examine whether the flying habits of followers of influencers can be affected by the lifestyle that influencers mediate. To answer to the aim of the study the following three issues were raised: Do followers of social media influencers feel that their flying habits are affected by the lifestyle that influencers mediate through their posts? Do followers feel that they get inspired by influencers’ travels and travel related posts? Do followers deliberately use influencers as a source for travel inspiration? Based on these issues a survey was created and later posted in nine different groups on Facebook. The result of the survey showed that close to 40% of the followers to some or to a high degree feel inspired by the lifestyle and travels of influencers. A large number of followers also experience that inspiration from influencers to some degree impact on their choice of destination, while a smaller number deliberately turn to influencers in search for travel inspiration. It also emerged that the majority of the followers feel that the flying habits and lifestyle of influencers in varying degree induce them to fly more. To summarize, the study shows that followers feel that the lifestyle and flying habits of influencers to some degree affect their own flying habits.

The Evualation of the Position of Economic Zone of the West Coast of the Taiwan Strait from the Perspective of Taiwan¡¦s Global Economic & Trade Strategy

Chen, Wei-cheng 05 September 2011 (has links)
In this paper I start from the exploration of the change of industrial structure during the economic development in Taiwan after World War II. Through the document analysis, I find out the reasons why the manufacture and service industries move outside to mainland China and other areas around the world are because of the extension of market and the cut down of cost. Since China is the most important trade partner of Taiwan, I focus the study on the economic zones in China, especially the economic zone of West Coast of Taiwan Strait (West Coast economic zone). The argument of this paper is that Taiwan should take advantage of the favor policy of economic zones in China and build the supply chain in the certain economic zones with local comparative advantage industries. And the evaluation of Taiwan¡¦s economic strategy depends on which economic zone in China can offer the supply chain advantage industries with the need of Taiwan¡¦s industries. After the comparison of the current trends of the investment of Taiwanese businessmen in West Coast economic zone and other economic zones in mainland China, I find out West Coast economic zone is not Taiwanese businessmen¡¦s best choice to invest. To attract more investments from Taiwan, the authority of West Coast economic zone should alter its favor policy according to co-opettion strategy and to meet the need of Taiwan industries. In conclusion, I suggest the authorities on both side of Taiwan strait should offer the need of local comparative advantage industries according to the supply chain theory, by this way, we can get a win-win result for the both side of Taiwan Strait.

Radioräckviddsberäkningar för flygande plattformar / Radio range calculations for flying platforms

Forsberg, Nicklas, Säfholm, Johan January 2002 (has links)

There exist several known methods for calculation of radio coverage for ground-based systems. As far as we know there are no equivalent methods for the case of flying platforms when the altitudes and speeds are significantly different to those of ground-based systems.

This thesis describes the theoretical concepts behind calculations of radio coverage for flying platforms. An investigation is made to sort out what is important and possible to employ in a model for simulations. A method is described and implemented in a program for evaluation of flying radio systems. Two typical cases of flight missions are simulated and discussed.

It is found that the free space model is valid most of the mission time. The contribution from the antennas is found to be small in comparison to the path loss. Further investigations suggested are e.g. better ground reflection models and a better model for the flight mechanics.

A dynamical systems theory analysis of Coulomb spacecraft formations

Jones, Drew Ryan 10 October 2013 (has links)
Coulomb forces acting between close flying charged spacecraft provide near zero propellant relative motion control, albeit with added nonlinear coupling and limited controllability. This novel concept has numerous potential applications, but also many technical challenges. In this dissertation, two- and three-craft Coulomb formations near GEO are investigated, using a rotating Hill frame dynamical model, that includes Debye shielding and differential gravity. Aspects of dynamical systems theory and optimization are applied, for insights regarding stability, and how inherent nonlinear complexities may be beneficially exploited to maintain and maneuver these electrostatic formations. Periodic relative orbits of two spacecraft, enabled by open-loop charge functions, are derived for the first time. These represent a desired extension to more substantially studied, constant charge, static Coulomb formations. An integral of motion is derived for the Hill frame model, and then applied in eliminating otherwise plausible periodic solutions. Stability of orbit families are evaluated using Floquet theory, and asymptotic stability is shown unattainable analytically. Weak stability boundary dynamics arise upon adding Coulomb forces to the relative motion problem, and therefore invariant manifolds are considered, in part, to more efficiently realize formation shape changes. A methodology to formulate and solve two-craft static Coulomb formation reconfigurations, as parameter optimization problems with minimum inertial thrust, is demonstrated. Manifolds are sought to achieve discontinuous transfers, which are then differentially corrected using charge variations and impulsive thrusting. Two nonlinear programming algorithms, gradient and stochastic, are employed as solvers and their performances are compared. Necessary and sufficient existence criteria are derived for three-craft collinear Coulomb formations, and a stability analysis is performed for the resulting discrete equilibrium cases. Each specified configuration is enabled by non-unique charge values, and so a method to compute minimum power solutions is outlined. Certain equilibrium cases are proven maintainable using only charge control, and feedback stabilized simulations demonstrate this. Practical scenarios for extending the optimal reconfiguration method are also discussed. Lastly, particular Hill frame model trajectories are integrated in an inertial frame with primary perturbations and interpolated Debye length variations. This validates qualitative stability properties, reveals particular periodic solutions to exhibit nonlinear boundedness, and illustrates higher-fidelity solution accuracies. / text
