Η διπλωματική εργασία συνίσταται στην κατασκευή και έλεγχο μιας πειραματικής διάταξης στην οποία ένα πνευματικό κινητό έμβολο ασκεί σταθερή πίεση σε οποιαδήποτε επιφάνεια διέλθει κάτω από αυτήν. Η διάταξη περιλαμβάνει κύλινδρο και βαλβίδες πεπιεσμένου αέρα, αισθητήρα πίεσης και Προγραμματιζόμενο Λογικό Ελεγκτή (PLC) για τον έλεγχο της διάταξης. Επίσης, πραγματοποιείται έλεγχος μέσω Labview για σύγκριση αποτελεσμάτων.
Η διάταξη αποτελείται από μια αναλογική βαλβίδα, μια On/Off βαβλίδα, ένα κύλινδρο πεπιεσμένου αέρα και μια ειδικά κατασκευασμένη διάταξη άσκησης της πίεσης η οποία περιλαμβάνει και τον αισθητήρα μέτρησης της πίεσης. Επίσης υπάρχει ενισχυτής τάσης ο οποίος παρεμβάλλεται μεταξύ του αισθητήρα και της αναλογικής εισόδου του PLC. Στο κάτω άκρο της διάταξης διέρχεται μια τυχαία ξύλινη επιφάνεια. Βασικός σκοπός της εργασίας είναι ο PID έλεγχος της διάταξης μέσω της λειτουργικής μονάδας FM 355. Η μονάδα FM 355 της SIEMENS είναι μια λειτουργική μονάδα που έχει την δυνατότητα να πραγματοποιήσει Hardware PID έλεγχο καθώς και ασαφή έλεγχο σε εφαρμογές θερμοκρασίας. Επίσης, ένα πολύ σημαντικό χαρακτηριστικό της είναι η δυνατότητα λειτουργίας και όταν υπάρχει απώλεια επικοινωνίας με τη CPU του PLC. Η μονάδα FM 355 ελέγχει την αναλογική βαλβίδα ενώ ο έλεγχος της On/Off βαλβίδας γίνεται μέσω της CPU του PLC. Για τη λειτουργία της διάταξης επιλέγεται η επιθυμητή τιμή της πίεσης που θα ασκηθεί στην επιφάνεια. Αυτή η τιμή τροφοδοτείται στη CPU και κατ’ επέκταση στην μονάδα FM 355. Οποιαδήποτε μετακίνηση της επιφάνειας η οποία οδηγεί σε αλλαγή της πίεσης παρακολουθείται από τον αισθητήρα και γίνεται αυτόματη προσαρμογή της διάταξης ώστε να υπάρχει παρακολούθηση της επιφάνειας. Ο έλεγχος μέσω Labview χρησιμοποιεί ακριβώς την ίδια λογική και πραγματοποιήθηκε για την εξαγωγή πολύ χρήσιμων συμπερασμάτων. / This Diploma Thesis consists of the construction and control of an experimental automated system. In this system a pneumatic moving piston applies constant pressure to any surface that passes under it. The system includes a pneumatic cylinder, pneumatic valves, a pressure sensor and a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to control the system. Also, control via Labview is implemented, to be used for results comparison.
The system consists of a proportional control valve, an On/Off valve, a pneumatic cylinder and a specially manufactured system for pressure application that also includes the pressure sensor. There is, also, a voltage amplifier that is used between the output of the pressure sensor and the analog input of the CPU. A random wooden surface passes under the experimental system. The primary purpose of the Diploma Thesis is the PID control of the system using the function module FM 355. The FM 355 module from SIEMENS is a function module that is capable of utilizing hardware PID control and fuzzy control in temperature applications. Also, a very important characteristic of the module is the ability to function even when there is loss of communication with the CPU. The FM 355 module controls the proportional valve, while the On/Off valve is controlled by the PLC CPU. In order for the system to work, the desired pressured to be applied must be chosen. This value is inserted into the CPU and from there it is sent to the FM 355 module. Any movement of the wooden surface that leads to a change of pressure, is monitored by the sensor and the system automatically adjusts to track the surface. Control via Labview implements exactly the same logic as mentioned above and was used to extract very useful conclusions.

the preferred choice for the generation of stable, low noise, tunable local
oscillators in wireless communications applications. Most transmitters
use superheterodyn techniques for up-conversion of the modulated signal
to the required transmission frequency. Another technique is to inject the
modulation signal into a phase-locked loop and consequently generate a
frequency modulated signal directly at the transmission frequency.
The aim of this study is to obtain a synthesizer configuration for the
effective generation of wideband FM, considering both passive and active
loop filters. The selection is based on synthesizer output signal quality,
settling time and loop response to the modulation signal. / AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: Die hoe werksverrigting van fase-sluit lusse maak dit die verkiesde keuse
vir die generasie van stabiele, lae ruis, verstelbare ossillators vir draadlose
kommunikasie toepassings. Meeste senders gebruik "superheterodyn"
tegnieke vir die op-menging van die gemoduleerde sein na die verlangde
uitsaai frekwensie. 'n Ander tegniek is om die modulasie sein in
'n fase-sluit Ius te voer en so doende 'n gemoduleerde sein direk by die
transmissie frekwensie te genereer.
Die doel van hierdie studie is om 'n sintetiseerder konfigurasie te verkry
vir die effektiewe opwekking van 'n wyeband FM sein, deur beide passiewe
en aktiewe Ius filters in konsiderasie te neem. Die seleksie geskiet gebaseer
op sintetiseerder uittree sein kwaliteit, sluit tyd en Ius gedrag as gevolg
van die modulasie sein.

Uttryck för funderingar har påfunnits om befolkningens stöd innehar den signifikans i irreguljära konflikter som förmedlas av prominenta teoretiker i dagsläget, och därmed avspeglas i aktuella doktriner. Somliga menar att teoretikernas irreguljära krig inte överensstämmer med dagens då dessa författades primärt för att kontra revolutionära uppror. Dessa motsättningar mynnar ut i det vetenskapliga problemet som avses avhandlas, nämligen: innehar faktorn ”stöd från befolkningen” för hög signifikans, i relation till att försätta motståndarens stridande enheter ur stridbart skick, i aktuella styrdokument för irreguljära konflikter? Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka om incitament finns för fortsatt, mer djuplodande undersökning i problematiken. Detta görs genom en teoriprövande fallstudie där Sir Charles Edward Callwells teorier i Small Wars: Thier Principles & Practice, vilka uttalat förespråkar att motståndarens enheter ska slås, appliceras på Vietnamkriget där den uttalade strategin inledningsvis innebar vinnandet av befolkningens stöd. Slutsatsen av studiens resultat anses vara att fortsatt forskning är önskvärd för att kunna befästa eller förkasta kritiken mot rådande paradigm. Bidraget till forskningsläget är därmed förespråkandet av en mer nyanserad bild av hur upprorsbekämpning och irreguljära konflikter kan tacklas.

Por meio de observa??o emp?rica preliminar, constata a presen?a cont?nua da r?dio na plataforma digital, no entanto, encontrada algumas lacunas na forma como a emissora atua e utiliza a web para o desenvolvimento do seu trabalho. A pesquisa toma por base as a??es de converg?ncia realizadas pela empresa no site e nas redes sociais (Facebook, Instagram e Twitter) no per?odo que compreende o m?s de novembro de 2016. Durante a observa??o, a hip?tese era de que n?o havia investimentos na ?rea digital da emissora. Essa quest?o se d? pela n?o presen?a de publicidades nesses canais de comunica??o. Para a elabora??o desta pesquisa, serviram como base para a tem?tica abordada autores como Lopes (2016), Meditsch (2001), Ferrareto (2007) e Kischinhevsky (2016), que foram de extrema import?ncia para o desenvolvimento deste estudo de caso (YIN, 2005). Alguns procedimentos metodol?gicos tamb?m foram importantes, como a an?lise das p?ginas da r?dio, tanto no site quanto nas redes sociais, a perman?ncia in loco (LAGO, 2007), o que resultou em entrevistas e na observa??o do trabalho da emissora (WINKIN, 1998), sendo este fora da rede digital. Through preliminary empiric observation it was noticed the continuous presence of the radio on the digital platform, however, some failures were found on how the broadcast station acts and uses the web for the development of its work. This research is based on the actions of convergence realized by the company on its website and on Social Medias (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) in the period of November 2016. During the observation it was pointed out a hypothesis for the lack of investments in the digital area of the radio station, what happens by the non-presence of advertising in the referred communication channels. For the elaboration of this research some bibliographies were used and served as base for the current thematic, authors such as Lopes (2016), Meditsch (2001), Ferraretto (2007) and Kischinhevsky (2016) were all of extreme importance for the development of this case study (YIN, 2005). Some methodological procedures were also important, like the analysis of both the website and the public profile of the radio on Social Medias, and the permanence in loco (LAGO, 2007), what resulted in interviews and in observation of the work developed by the station (WINKIN, 1998), this last one being outside the digital network. Through this observation, it was noticed that, among the radio stations located in Natal, 96 FM is the one that both acts and develops more works on the internet. Nevertheless, the research identifies that it is a long way until the company have a totality of productions on the internet, maybe for the lack of investments or even for the accommodation of the professionals working in it. Lastly, this dissertation points out the necessity of more investment in the internet productions of the radio stations from Natal, not only for the development and expansion of the radio stations, but also for the listeners to have the option of following their favorite programs from any receptor device, be them fixed or mobile.

I denna uppsats studeras i vilken utsträckning radiomediets lyssnarsiffror och räckvidd skulle påverkas av en avveckling av FM-bandet och en övergång till en digital marksänd radio. I studien intervjuas sex aktörer inom radiobranschen. Studien visar att branschen förväntar sig en nedgång av lyssnarsiffror och räckvidd under en övergångsperiod till digital radio men att dessa faktorer tros vara övergående och inte kommer att få några bestående följder för radiomediet som informationsförmedlare. Denna branschbedömning baserar man på att människor idag anses vara vana vid teknikskiften och därför mottagliga för en ny form av utsänd radio.

This thesis aimed to integrate a radio module, for listening to FM and DAB primarily, with CrossControl's display computers. The connection was done by converting the USB signals from the display computer to UART signals that were sent to the radio module. To be able to communicate a communication library was ported from C to Qt, and C++, which was used by a graphical user interface created during the project. This user interface aimed to keep a simplistic and clean look as well as making sure that the user could operate as easily as possible. The different radio standards around the world were reviewed and the analog standard FM radio and the digital standard DAB+ was chosen for testing the capabilities of the radio module, mostly because of their availability in Sweden.

Med ett gemensamt verktyg för flera VMS, kan den militära nyttan höjas. Genom att möjliggöra att flera system kan samverka vid produktionen, kan flera svaga hypoteser kan blir starkare. Dock kommer detta inte att vara enkelt på grund av den finansiering modell som Försvarsmakten arbetar med. Den som ansvarar för plattformutrustning och producerande enhet har inte alltid möjlighet att nå den optimala lösningen på grund av andra hänsynstaganden.

Sedimentological characterization and regional palaeo-environmental implications of the Messak Fm, SW LibyaWood, Jonathan Derek January 2013 (has links)
During the Early Cretaceous a regionally extensive cover of dominantly siliciclastic sediments was deposited across the North African continental margin. Historically, these siliciclastic sediments have been considered to be a relatively homogeneous lithofacies known as the ‘Nubian sandstone’. This lithofacies is generally described as coarse grained, cross-bedded sandstone and is ascribed to a braided fluvial depositional environment. However, there have been few detailed sedimentological studies carried out on these sediments. Furthermore, the stratigraphic relationships between regional Early Cretaceous continental strata in different North African countries has only briefly been described and has only locally been related to equivalent marine deposits. In order to address these problems, this study focuses upon two main approaches. Firstly, outcrop analysis of the Messak Fm (SW Libya) and the Sidi Aïch Fm (C Tunisia) details and contrasts the lithofacies variability of Early Cretaceous siliciclastic sediments in North Africa. Secondly, a unified stratigraphic framework is erected for the Early Cretaceous of Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt and the palaeogeographic evolution is reconstructed. Detailed sedimentological investigation of the Messak Fm has identified greater variation in lithofacies and depositional processes than was previously recognised. By lithostratigraphic correlation with outcrops in northwest Libya, we show a fluvial system transported sediment northward into a wide fluvio-paralic basin covering western Libya. Several episodes of marine influence culminating in a distinct and regionally correlatable transgressive episode are identified. This is the first time that marine influence has been identified in the Murzuq Basin and increases the maximum known extent of marine transgression in the Early Cretaceous of Libya by 600km. The sedimentology of the Messak Fm is contrasted with the sandstone dominated Sidi Aïch Fm which, although showing similar lithofacies, was deposited in a marginal-shallow marine environment.Building upon previous reviews and new insights from the Messak Fm and Sidi Aïch Fm, a synthesis and reinterpretation of the spatial and temporal heterogeneity of sediments and depositional environments in this region throughout the Early Cretaceous is presented. During the Berriasian-Barremian, the North African platform coastline was dominated by a dry subtropical climate with moderate vegetation. The interior of the platform experienced a Savannah-like semi-arid climate with limited vegetation and palaeosol development but was crossed by extensive fluvial networks draining the equatorial tropics. During the Late Barremian-Early Aptian, simultaneous aridification and marine transgression led to a decreased detrital flux to the marginal basins and widespread deposition of marine carbonates and mudstones. During the Late Aptian-Albian the platform returned to a humid tropical climate. Widespread coarse grained fluvial sediments mark the base of this sequence and palaeosols occur locally. The results of this work have implications for the development and controls of large-scale fluvio-paralic systems and illustrate the fact that, in a limited accommodation epicontinental setting, relative sea-level may be the key control on sedimentation and depositional processes for many hundreds of kilometres inland of the lowstand coastline.

In aeronautical telemetry, the multipath interference usually causes significant performance
degradation. As the bit rate of telemetry systems increases, the impairments of multipath
interference are more serious. The constant modulus algorithm (CMA) blind equalizer is effective
to mitigate the impairments of multipath interference. The CMA adapts the equalizer coefficients
to minimize the deviation of the signal envelope from a constant level. This paper presents the
performances of the CMA blind equalizer applied for PCM-FM, PCM-BPSK, SOQPSK-TG and
ARTM CPM in aeronautical telemetry.

A Global Spatial Model for Loop Pattern Fingerprints and Its Spectral AnalysisWu, Di 08 1900 (has links)
The use of fingerprints for personal identification has been around for thousands of years (first established in ancient China and India). Fingerprint identification is based on two basic premises that the fingerprint is unique to an individual and the basic characteristics such as ridge pattern do not change over time. Despite extensive research, there are still mathematical challenges in characterization of fingerprints, matching and compression. We develop a new mathematical model in the spatial domain for globally modeling loop pattern fingerprints. Although it is based on the well-known AM-FM (amplitude modulation and frequency modulation) image representation, the model is constructed by a global mathematical function for the continuous phase and it provides a flexible parametric model for loop pattern fingerprints. In sharp contrast to the existing methods, we estimate spatial parameters from the spectral domain by combining the exact values of frequencies with their orientations perpendicular to the fingerprint ridge flow. In addition, to compress fingerprint images and test background Gaussian white noise, we propose a new method based on periodogram spacings. We obtain the joint pdf of these m-dependent random variables at Fourier frequencies and derive the asymptotic distribution of the test statistic.
