Porovnání podmínek pro outsourcing v ČR a na Filipínách / Comparing of conditions for outsourcing in the Czech Republic and in the Philippines

This thesis aims to analyze and consequently compare conditions which are currently offered by the Czech Republic and the Philippines to companies in the field of international outsourcing. The first part gives attention to the term outsourcing itself. Above all, it enlightens the extensity of elements, which are influential in decisions of corporations when choosing the country to be outsourced from. The next two consequential chapters are concerned with the application of all aspects of outsourcing in both of these two in many ways different states. The final part evaluates and confronts these countries in light of the described factors as per SWOT analysis. Herewith, it outlines steps which could be taken to improve the present status of matters, which have been ranked among threats, eventually waeknesses.

This dissertation focuses on the development of foreign direct investment realized by Czech companies during the last two decades. The Czech Republic became one of the targets of foreign investors during its economic transformation while inward investments have all this time exceeded outward investments. This is probably the reason why Czech outward foreign direct investments do not attract such attention in economic research as inward investments. This dissertation tries to extend findings on the influences on the development of Czech outward foreign direct investments, describes who the main Czech investors abroad are and examines the microeconomic and macroeconomic impacts of foreign direct investments. Last but not least, application of the Investment Development Path theoretical concept was used in order to describe Czech outward foreign direct investment in the globalising world economy.

The thesis utilises the evaluation of macro-economic influences on the trend of company labour costs,, as well as the benchmarking of the Czech equipment manufacturing company with the sister companies in the USA and China. This thesis deals with the current major trend in the financial markets and the cooperation within exchange systems. This is happening thanks to unstoppable globalization trends, both at the regional and continental level. The work is specifically focused on the Stock Exchange in Prague, Ljubljana, Budapest and Vienna stock exchange and their cooperation within the group CEESEG. The first part deals with general changes in the financial markets over the past few decades. The second part focuses on the characteristics of CEESEG exchanges, describes the functioning of the holding and evaluates the advantages and disadvantages of their cooperation. The final part consists of a survey of experts and long time active participants in the Czech capital market conducted on this topic followed by an evaluation. This work is supplemented with charts and figures that should help readers better grasp the subject

The diploma thesis is focusing on the analysis of the globalisation trends in the world beer industry and a prediction of their future development. Therefore, the first part of the thesis is describing the current situation in the global beer industry including a global production, consumption, export and import of beer. The role of the Czech Republic in the global beer industry is analyzed in the second part of the paper. It includes an analysis of current trends in production and consumer demand. Third part of the thesis is analyzing the biggest player in the global beer industry - company called AB InBev. The focus is put especially on the company's strategy concerning the internationalization and the choice of the foreign markets to enter. The final part of the thesis offers a prediction of the future trends and regions with high potential of growth within the beer industry.

Title: Migration of Czech ice hockey players to North America. Objectives: The main objective of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the current development of migration of Czech ice hockey players to North American highest competition - NHL since 1990. The sub-objective of this thesis is to investigate migration factors, then to describe historical developments within migration and to compare with other ice hockey powers. Further analysing the influence of Czech ice hockey players on the performance of teams in North American competitions, as well as introducing leagues themselves. Methods: This thesis used qualitative research which abnormally consists of a questionnaire survey and precedes quantitative research, which includes deskresearch, a method which is also referred to as secondary data analysis, data are mainly drawn from the outputs of mass media and virtual data for this work. Next method of comparison and correlation analysis. Hereinafter the comparation method and correlation analysis are used. Results: This study reveals the importance of focusing on the experiences of the migrants themselves as well as on the factors related to migration. Secondary it deals with the comparison of consumer behaviour in these countries. There are important basis for the practical part in the theoretical part which is applied on consumer behaviour in specific markets. There are presented significant secondary data, followed by analysis of the question-naire forming primary data in the practical part. These findings are compared with a variety of researches in this field. Subsequently there is answered the goal of work.

This diploma thesis deals with the internationalization process of Czech small and medium-sized enterprises in ICT and identifies risk factors of this process. In the literature review is described internationalization and associated phenomena, like globalization and liberalization. Second part is given to basic approaches to internationalization. This part also includes a definition, importance, advantages and disadvantages of small and medium-sized enterprises and their situation in Czech Republic. At the end of this part, there is described risk, risk management and risks in internationalization process. The main aim of practical part of this diploma thesis is to identify the key risk factors of internationalization process of small and medium-sized enterprises in ICT. Risk perception is compared between companies in the border areas and companies other than border areas. The results of this work are also compared with the results of research by the OECD. Practical part of this thesis also contains description of small and medium-sized enterprises in Czech Republic and characteristic of ICT sector with the emphasis on foreign trade of this sector.

The diploma thesis explores the issue of the formation and development of prices and price levels in the context of commodity verticals, which are based on breeding cows with market production of milk in the Czech Republic. Analyzes the production of milk in the world, in the European Union and the Czech Republic due to demand, legislative documents, globalization and trends in the commodity markets. Formulates important facts and context in the development of agribusiness, which operate on domestic farmers. Position of agricultural producers, industrial producers and retail chains in the Czech Republic is analyzed on the basis of monthly prices of selected products, which are then used to verify the presence and hence the influence of market forces in the commodity chains through analysis of price transmission.

The diploma thesis focuses on the development of South African agriculture with a greater emphasis on the wool industry. This work is divided into two parts; the first part defines the general trends in the development of agribusiness, the current role, the specifics and the position of agriculture in the world with the influences of globalization. It also describes the historical development of the agricultural sector in South Africa and the general characteristics of the wool commodity. The second part of this work concentrates on the analysis of the agricultural sector in South Africa and its current position within the South African economy together with the international trade in agricultural commodities. Subsequently, the thesis identifies the development of the wool commodity in the world market with a detailed analysis of the South African market and the entire wool industry in South Africa.
