Kunčická, Zlata January 2017 (has links)
Title: Load analysis of golf players Objectives: The aim of the study was to determine the load intensity of golf players, the comparison between players of different levels and determine the health benefits of the game. Methods: The theoretical part was processed thorough a study of scientific literature. Data were measured by sport-tester Garmin, which were then processed in the Garmin Connect and in Microsoft Excel. Was determined by calculating the maximum heart rate of the individual player and the results were compared qualitatively and quantitatively with the scientific literature. Results: Golf is a light to moderate aktivity of load amounting 62% of the maximum heart rate of the individual. Golf in conjunction with the movement on the field can have a positive effect on humans and prevent lifestyle diseases associated with hyperkinesis. During one eighteen-round of golf player conquers average of 10.5 km and reforge as 70% of the official length of the course. Professional players spend more time reading the terrain and planning launch, so they are moving more. Keywords: golf, heart beat, health, condition, golf field

Kallfors Sport center / Kallfors' Sports center

Segerström, Sanne January 2021 (has links)
Around the golf course in Kallfors, the landscape waves forward and stretches between forest edges and residential buildings. Well-groomed lawns, stormwater ponds and a varying topography makes it tempting to follow the paths over the golf course to see what's behind the next bend. Golf is surrounded by a strong culture. It requires both expensive equipment, plenty of time and often membership. The relatively closed community means that the place around the Clubhouse doesn’t feel completely welcoming for non-members. Here I want to build a sports-center with an adjacent orangery to strengthen the place's central role as a hub in Kallfors but also open it up to a wider audience. Padel, which has emerged as a popular sport, risks becoming another status sport due to high demand and expensive booking fees. The sports-center offers padel, squash, basketball and boules, among other things. But for the center to be democratic it´s important that all equipment is borrowed for free and the booking fees are subsidized. In the evening when the building is closed, it’s still possible to walk up, over the roofs. Here it´s lit and always open to play basketball, boules, practice on the putting green or take a walk.

Analyzing the Effectiveness of Kinesio-taping in Golf-induced Chronic Low Back Pain Management

Zhang, Yushan 01 January 2023 (has links) (PDF)
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of Kinesio-Taping (KT) in golf-induced chronic low-back pain management. The golfing population continues to grow each year, and the risks of golf-induced chronic low back pain (CLBP) remain high. The Kinesio-taping technique is a non-invasive treatment intervention utilized in sports injury rehabilitation and prevention. Due to the lack of research on KT in golf-related injuries, this study addresses the injury mechanism of golf-induced CLBP and the proposed physiological mechanism and therapeutic effects on the musculoskeletal system of KT. This study is a comprehensive review of the golf swing, prevalence and risk factors of golf induced CLBP, treatment modalities for non-specific low back pain, and the use of KT in sports medicine and healthcare settings. The target population of this study includes active adults and older adults who are at risk or currently experiencing CLBP and those who may golf professionally or recreationally. The literature search (February- October 2022) was performed using multiple databases, including UCF Libraries, PubMed, GoogleScholar, SagePub, ScienceDirect, and Ebscohost. Keywords employed by this research include "low back*" "golf*" or "golf swing*" "Kinesio-tape*" or "Kinesio-taping*" and "pain*" or "injury*". Search results were carefully screened, and relevant literature was selected for this study. A total of 78 scientific studies were included in this review. This literature review found insufficient empirical evidence to support the application of KT in golf-induced low back pain management. Although the subjects' contextual effects should not be overlooked, the reasoning behind how KT physiologically affects target injury sites remains unclear. Further research is suggested to examine the effectiveness of KT in treating golf induced CLBP.

Stenbäck, Erik, Strandberg, Johan January 2008 (has links)

Klopprogge, Vera January 2005 (has links)
The focus of this master?s thesis is on determining whether Judith Hermann?s book of collected short stories, <em>Nichts als Gespenster</em> (2003) can be assigned to the so-called category <em>Popliteratur</em> which had its climax in the 1990?s, or whether it advances this genre by focusing on new perspectives. To show this, Hermann?s short stories are compared with Christian Kracht?s <em>Faserland</em> (1995), which is a prime example of a pop-novel at the end of the last century. Thomas Jung?s criteria for <em>Popliteratur</em> serve as a methodology for the textual analysis. <br /><br /> In the first part of this thesis <em>Popliteratur</em> as literary phenomenon is introduced. In addition to a definition and its history from the 1960?s till nowadays, the focus is on <em>Popliteratur</em> of the 1990?s and its authors who do not just write but stage themselves in the media and in public. Furthermore from this, the existence of <em>Popliteratur</em> in the 21st century is discussed and categories of how it appears in new literary forms, e. g. ?Generation Golf? and ?Zweite Generation Pop?. This is followed by a consideration of how Popliteratur is assessed in literary studies and literary criticism. <br ><br /> In the second part of this thesis, Christian Kracht and Judith Hermann are introduced, followed by a comparison of <em>Faserland</em> and <em>Nichts als Gespenster</em> from the point of view of Jung?s criteria for <em>Popliteratur</em>, namely its topics, its language, narrative technique, construction of identity and its target group of readers. After the textual analysis, the question whether Judith Hermann?s work can be assigned to <em>Popliteratur</em> or whether she transforms this genre will be answered. <br ><br /> My conclusions are that Hermann advances <em>Popliteratur</em> in the 21st century by focusing on melancholia and self-reflexion more than on the provocation that was more typical of earlier <em>Popliteratur</em>.
