Využití metod experimentálních her ke studiu kooperace, altruismu a férovosti a jejich biologických prediktorů / Utilization of experimental games' methods in the study of cooperation, altruism and fairness and their biological predictors

Nováková, Julie January 2015 (has links)
Cooperative, altruistic and fairness-exhibiting behavior is an important topic in evolutionary and behavioral biology and the mechanisms leading to its evolution, ultimate as well as proximate precursors, are subject of much research in biological as well as social sciences, theoretical as well as experimental work. In light of the life history theory, I focused on the connection of one's health state and cooperative behavior in humans and tested the hypothesis that more healthy individuals would manifest more cooperative tendencies (as they would have more opportunities of future interactions and long-term benefits), and conversely. The data, obtained from a sample of university students engaged in experimental games (Dictator Game, Ultimatum Game, Expanded Ultimatum Game, Trust Game, and Reversed Dictator Game) and a health and personality-focused questionnaire, did not corroborate this hypothesis. My other hypotheses - that better memory and lower temporal discounting would be related to more cooperative behavior (stemming from the conditions for reciprocal cooperation) - were supported by the data, albeit only partially in the case of memory. I also used the data from the five experimental games to briefly describe the proportions of different types of behavior (self-regarding, altruistic,...

Výuka sexuální výchovy na 1. stupni vybrané základní školy / Teaching of Sex Education at the chosen lower Primary School

Jirků, Magdaléna January 2015 (has links)
The thesis focuses on sex education in the lower Primary School. The aim is to map it on the general level, that means its definition and settings for Primary Schools, and then to design the teaching units and to do a partial implementation at the chosen school. The theoretical part describes the development of sex education, inspiration from abroad and mainly its current concept from 1989 until today. There are mentioned its objectives, principles and ethics, legal representation, the negative aspects of human sexuality, the course and content. The thesis also examines the role of family and school. The practical part focuses on the approach of parents and teachers to sex education at the chosen school through a survey and a structured interview. Based on the positive results, there is a proposal of teaching units for education implementation, verification of one of them in practice, and there is also a list of recommended literature and materials for parents. KEY WORDS sex education, inspiration from abroad, current concepts, human and his/her health, sexuality, prevention, school concept, design of teaching units, cooperation

Caspar David Friedrich. Motiv postavy u okna, její geneze a vývoj / Caspar David Friedrich, The motif of figure at the window, its genesis and evolution.

Hájková, Zita January 2013 (has links)
The thesis deals with the life and work of Caspar David Friedrich (1774 - 1840) who is considered one of the most important painters and drawers of the German romanticism. His main contribution for painting was the creation of pictures with subjective, later also politically motivated symbolism. The themes of his works in particular included the nature where persons often stand and watch the landscape in distance. The first chapter provides information on the personality and work of the painter who created a new style of landscaping. In nature he discovered the spiritual element that he connected with the picture. The work then describes the influences of the romantic literary movement and religion on his work. The second chapter presents a female figure turned with her back to the viewer in a painting called Woman by the Window from 1822. Various interpretations of art historians connected especially with romanticising visions of individuality and infinity are presented. The origin and development of the female figure turned with her back to the viewer in painting from prehistoric times up to the 20th century is also outlined. The phenomenon of a window in art is explained in the third chapter. A window in interior and a view from a window is also demonstrated as a mean of expression of an artist....

Náklady civilního soudního řízení / Costs of civil proceedings

Písaříková, Markéta January 2017 (has links)
Costs of civil proccedings This dissertation thesis is aimed onto costs of civil proceedings, especially general costs of civil proceedings and special costs of civil proceedings. Regarding to the special costs of civil proceedings it deals with its remuneration (amount and extent). Existing Czech law was analyzed on given cases with comparation of law, economic analysis of law and theory of games and as the result the externalities were found and defined with the consequences the law lead to. The application of game theory on given problematics has shown its value for analysis of legal rules and as for future it is a way where the analytics can develop. The dissertation thesis has found a mathematical formula for calculation of summary remuneration of costs accompanied with lawsuits so that for the creditor it is more economical to sue the debts than to cede them to the debt collecting companies, and together with that the new law is proposed to prevent externalities that destruct the functioning of civil courts by flood of multiply-lawsuits and externalities, that's costs are borne by tax residents.

Prognostic Factors in Early Stages (FIGO I-II) of Epithelial Ovarian Carcinoma

Skírnisdóttir, Ingirídur January 2002 (has links)

From January, 1988, to December, 1993, 113 patients with FIGO stage IA-IIC epithelial ovarian carcinoma were treated with postoperative radiotherapy. The median follow-up period was 74 months. Tumor recurrences were recorded in 33 cases (30%). The cancer-specific survival rate was 72%. Tumor grade was a significant (P = 0.007) and independent prognostic factor in the multivariate analysis. In a smaller series of 106 patients, a number of prognostic factors (age, FIGO stage, histopathological type, and tumor grade) were studied in relation to regulators of apoptosis (p53, bcl-2, and bax) and growth factor receptors (HER-2/neu and EGFR). Immunohistochemical techniques were used. In a separate series of 103 patients, the DNA content (flow cytometry) and p53 status of the tumors were also studied and related to the same clinicopathological factors. P53 was associated with tumor grade (P = 0.007) and survival status (P = 0.046). In a Cox multivariate analysis, tumor grade (P = 0.0006), bax status (P = 0.020), and EGFR status (P = 0.018) were significant and independent prognostic factors. DNA ploidy of the tumors was strongly associated with tumor grade.

From January, 1994, to December, 1998, a series of 109 patients with ovarian carcinomas (FIGO IA-IIC) were treated with postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy. The same prognostic factors were studied in this series. The median follow-up was 48 months and the cancer-specific survival rate was 75%. Twenty-five (25%) tumor recurrences were recorded. The most favorable survival rate was seen in patients with tumors negative for p53 and positive for bcl-2 or bax. In a multivariate analysis, tumor grade (P = 0.014) and p53 status (P = 0.020) were independent prognostic factors.

Clinical, histopathological and biological prognostic factors should be combined in prognostic models to render patient-tailored therapy possible and to define different prognostic groups for future clinical studies of adjuvant therapy in early stage ovarian carcinomas.

Dissipelskap as 'n bedieningsmodel vir gemeentebou aan die dooplidmate (13 tot 18 jaar) in die Gereformeerde Kerke in Suid–Afrika / Karel Petrus Steyn

Steyn, Karel Petrus January 2010 (has links)
The Church lives in times of change. In times of change Christ builds and equips his Church, through the Holy Spirit, to proclaim the gospel to the world and to make disciples. As part of the congregation, it is important to ask what the role of the youth and youth ministry plays in the building and equipment of the church, which Christ is busy doing. The aim of this dissertation is to examine the possibility that discipleship can be used as a model for ministry for congregation–building to the baptized members (13 to 18 years of age) of the Reformed Churches in South Africa. The following working method was used in order to reach this particular aim: * Firstly, a basis–theoretical investigation was conducted ascertaining the subject, object, aim and nature of congregation–building. * Secondly, a basis–theoretical investigation focused on discipleship was done. In this investigation the aim was to find a workable definition for 'disciple' and 'discipleship' as well as the aim and nature of discipleship. This investigation concluded by showing the relation between congregation–building and discipleship. * Thirdly, an empirical study was launched to determine the situation in the Reformed Churches in South Africa pertaining to youth and youth ministry. In this study the first priority was to determine the aim for youth ministry as determined by the Deputies for Catechesis and Youth nurture of the Reformed Churches in South Africa. The second priority is to determine the present tendencies under the youth in classis KwaZulu–Natal–North of the Reformed Churches in South Africa. The findings of this study were then weighed against the perception of the teachers of Catechesis in this particular classis. * Lastly, the findings of the basis–theoretical investigation and the empirical study was synthesised into a practical theory for discipleship as `n ministry model for church–building for the baptized members (13 to 18 years of age) in the Reformed Churches in South Africa. The finding of this study is that discipleship can indeed be applied as a ministry model for church–building for the baptized members (13 to 18 years of age) in the Reformed Churches in South Africa. Through this ministry model the baptized member can be equipped in a contextual–relevant manner to bring the gospel to the world, through his or her love for God to his or her neighbour, as a member of the faith community of the church. / From the analysis of the trajectories in the Brazilian film market of feature films "Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands," directed by Bruno Barreto and released in 1976, and "Elite Squad 2: The Enemy Within", directed by José Padilha and released in 2010, this thesis discusses how relations between the Brazilian cinema and the federal government between 1975 and 2010, as well as television and other country's audiovisual market agents influenced the trajectory and continuity of production and distribution of these movies in their own country. Using cultural studies as a research method, the work is theoretically grounded in the concept of hybridization, defended by authors like Néstor Canclini and Marshall McLuhan, and seeks to understand how the filmic production encouraged both by Embrafilme in 1970, as the National Cinema Agency (Ancine), in the 2000s, contributed to the inclusion of Brazilian cinema in Pierre Bourdieu called "symbolic goods market," thus shifting the Brazilian cinema from artistic market field and entering a web of complex ramifications involving political, economic and other media in a legitimate player in the sense intended by Vilém Flusser.
