The purpose of this paper was to examine understandings of uses of history in teachers’assignments. Inspired by grounded theory an analysis was made of teachers’ assignments anddifferent concepts, categories and propositions were found. The main finding concerningunderstandings of uses history was that it relied upon the consideration’s teachers had madeduring the process of creating assignments. This one-sidedness was the springboard forsuggestions made for future undertakings in didactical research pertaining to understandingsof uses of history.

Historiska narrativ i skolans värld / The Role of Historical Narratives in SchoolSamzelius, Fredrik, Jonasson, Adam January 2021 (has links)
The following knowledge overview, or SAG, aims to chart the results of scientific research to answer how historical narratives are considered in Swedish and Danish primary- and secondary history education. The methods used for collecting data are inquiries in databases and processing scientific journals. The results show that teachers are heavily affected by the historical narratives based on the historical culture they were raised in, and a subsequent consequence is involuntary tendentious teaching, presenting the learners with an already weighted take on history. Furthermore, the learners themselves carry their own narratives based on their life experiences and family histories. These narratives are not considered in teaching, leaving learners experiencing exclusion from the narratives presented in school. Thus, a lack of meaningfulness and lacking motivation for history as a school subject.

Förintelsen i gymnasieskolans läroböcker -En läroboksanalys om Förintelsens framställning i läroböcker för Lpf 94 och Lgy 11Stenvall, Martin January 2019 (has links)
The main purpose of this paper is to examine how the Holocaust is presented in textbooks, and if there are any differences in the textbooks since the Holocaust got more attention in the Swedish society. Six different textbooks, written for the two latest curriculums, are the empirical material for this study. They have been analyzed by using Ammerts theoretical perspective about four different ways of presenting the content in textbooks, and historical culture. The method for this study is a qualitative text analysis. The analysis shows that textbooks seem to have simplified presentations of the Holocaust. In the textbooks for the latest curriculum, the Holocaust is presented as a historical event that could be compared with other events in the past. Another difference is that authors for the newer textbooks presents the content by using values. The content about the Holocaust in the newer textbooks has also expanded. One possible reason could be that the authors would like to offer a more detailed explanation of the Holocaust. Another motive may be that generations that grew up after genocide has occurred see themselves as responsible to provide something similar to happen again. In relation to other countries, the historical culture in Swedish textbooks is different. It seems to be typical for Swedish textbooks to present how the Jews and other minorities were affected by the Holocaust. This could lead to make the students understand the value of the Holocaust, and preserve its place in the historical culture that exists in our society.

Previous issue date: 2017-12-15 / The present dissertation has an objective to analyse the historical culture in the Playstation
videogame series “God of War”, investigating aspects concerning its visual culture and plot.
Inspired by Greek mythology, the piece presents a gamma of elements that show an insight into the
past. Besides that , even though a product linked to entertainment, but, as it has become a
meaningful form of cultural expression, it goes far beyond this initial purpose. The concept of
didactics of history established by the historian Jörn Rüsen becomes essential within the debate,
because from it we can realize these historical dimensions within the game, being this one a
historical source. For more, the dissertation tries to understand the dialogical movement that the
piece , besides peculiarities of its language. The vídeogames were created in the late 50’s, since
then, has gradually become a very popular product in the global market, moreover, they are forms
of contemporary artistic experimentation.This is the sense in which we intend to analize the
electronic game series, considering it as a contemporary artistic experimentation that is understood
from a representation of the past. / A presente dissertação objetiva analisar a cultura histórica percebida na série de jogos de
videogame God of War, investigando aspectos referentes à sua cultura visual e seu enredo.
Inspirado na mitologia grega a obra apresenta uma gama de elementos que demostram uma visão
sobre o passado. Além disso, mesmo sendo um produto ligado ao entretenimento, vai além desse
propósito, tornando-se uma forma de expressão cultural repleta de sentido. O conceito de didática
da história estabelecido pelo historiador Jörn Rüsen se faz essencial dentro do debate, pois a partir
dele podemos perceber as dimensões históricas apresentadas dentro dos jogos, sendo esse uma
fonte histórica. Para mais, a presente dissertação busca compreender o movimento dialógico que a
obra traz, além de peculiaridades de sua linguagem. Os videogames foram criados a partir do final
da década de 50, desde então, paulatinamente vem se tornando um produto muito popular no
mercado global, além do mais, são formas de experimentação artística contemporânea. É neste
sentido que pretendemos analisar a série de jogos eletrônicos, considerando-a como uma
experimentação artística contemporânea que se compreende a partir de uma representação do
passado

Den planerade undervisningen om det finska kriget : En studie av hur gymnasielärare i Västerbotten och Österbotten planerar att undervisa om det finska kriget 1808-09Nilsson, Perry January 2014 (has links)
This study examines how upper secondary school teachers in Västerbotten and Österbotten plan to teach about the Finnish War 1808-09. The study includes written interviews with nine teachers in Västerbotten and eight teachers in Österbotten, who have answered questions concerning school policy documents, content and didactic methods. The purpose has been to examine whether there is a difference in historical culture in how the war is treated in the two regions. Historical culture is here meant within the prospective history lesson, where the pupils encounter history within certain boundaries.The result of the interview study shows that there are differences in structure concerning the school policy documents, but that these differences on the whole are compensated by the widespread interest in the Finnish War by the teachers in both regions. The differences in historical culture can be found within the construction of the content when it comes to the aftermaths of the war as well as the purpose of the teaching. A distinct common feature is that the perspective on local history has a strong position in education.Concerning the didactic methods there are differences working with source criticism as well as the forms of examination. Everything included, structurally, there are two different historical cultures. However, if we take into account the answers given by the teachers it is more reasonable to look at it as two nuances of one historical culture. Materiais naturais : design e tecnologia no desenvolvimento de joias inspiradas na cultura gaúchaStürmer, Patrícia Gabert dos Santos January 2010 (has links)
O presente trabalho articula os campos do design e da tecnologia, a partir do desenvolvimento de joias, especificamente adornos que buscam a utilização de materiais encontrados em abundância no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul de origem animal (couro, ossos e chifres bovinos). Tendo como referencial elementos da cultura sul-rio-grandense encontrados na indumentária gaúcha, a intenção é analisar estes elementos formais, identificando sua origem e influências. Por meio do desenvolvimento de projeto de produto e aplicação de princípios do design de superfície, visa-se transpor, com o auxílio de tecnologias como o Scanner 3D a laser, a usinagem CNC e equipamentos de corte e gravação a laser, os elementos formais para os materiais que constituem a joia. Por meio da pesquisa bibliográfica e da pesquisa de campo, feita com o intuito de levantamento de imagens dos utensílios campeiros, é possível desenvolver, com desenhos e digitalização das peças, um banco de imagens que relaciona os elementos formais constituintes nessa cultura. Estas formas identificadas e descritas possibilitaram o desenvolvimento de módulos e padrões que podem ser aplicados nas superfícies dos materiais. Os resultados obtidos identificam que equipamentos de digitalização a laser, fresadoras CNC e o uso do laser para corte dos materiais selecionados são ferramentas importantes para gerar inovação, criando produtos em que design, tecnologia de ponta e cultura são evidenciados. / This work combines design and technology fields with the development of jewelry, specifically ornaments which pursuit using raw materials (leather, bone and horn) found in abundance in the Rio Grande do Sul state. Using elements related with clothing and ornaments from the gaucho culture as referential, the aim is analyze these elements, identifying its origins and influences. Through the development of product design and application of surface design principles, the main objective of this work is implementing the formal elements in materials used in jewelry, using technologies, such as 3D laser scanner, CNC milling and laser cutting and engraving equipments. Literature review and field research was conducted in order to lift the gaucho utensils images. This allowed the development of an image database which correlates the formal elements of this culture, through drawings and scanning of the pieces. These identified and described forms enabled developing modules and patterns to be applied on materials surface. The results show that 3D laser scanning equipment, CNC milling and the use of laser cutting on selected materials, are important tools to innovation, creating products where design, technology and culture are highlighted.

Previous issue date: 2016-08-30 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / The work aims to study how the black population has developed a new epistemological perspective guided by the black African historical experience, from the encounter between historical knowledge and socio-cultural activism, in contrast to the production of knowledge and the teaching of Eurocentric history. Therefore, the research was developed from the analysis of the protagonism of Abdias Nascimento, based on what we call abdisian moments: the blackness pedagogy (1944-1968), the pan-Africanist quilombism (1968-1983) and the parliamentary quilombism (1983-1999). The documentary research corpus is based on his theatrical, intellectual and political production around the national and international anti-racist struggles in the XX century (1944-1999). The protagonism of Abdias Nascimento helped the systematization and coordination between the historical process and the historical acts, where the black population took, at the same time, the role of producing, transmitting and receiving historical knowledge, which was set in a dialectical and dialogical way during his anti-racist social praxis, generated and based on the historical culture of black African resistance. / O trabalho tem por objetivo estudar como a população negra desenvolveu uma nova perspectiva epistemológica pautada na experiência histórica negro-africana, a partir do encontro entre conhecimento histórico e ativismo sociocultural, em contraposição à produção do conhecimento e do ensino da história eurocêntrica. Para tanto, a pesquisa se desenvolveu a partir da análise do protagonismo de Abdias Nascimento, com base no que denominamos de momentos abdisianos: da pedagogia negritudinista (1944-1968), do quilombismo pan-africanista (1968-1983) e do quilombismo parlamentar (1983-1999). O corpus documental da pesquisa se baseia na sua produção teatral, intelectual e política em torno das lutas antirracistas nacional e internacional no decorrer do século XX (1944-1999). O protagonismo de Abdias Nascimento ajudou na sistematização e na articulação entre o processo e o fazer históricos, onde a população negra assumiu ao mesmo tempo, o papel de produzir, transmitir e receber conhecimento histórico, que se configurou de maneira dialética e dialógica durante a sua práxis social antirracista, gerado e fundamentado na cultura histórica de resistência negro-africana.

João Guimarães Rosas‟ literature. The research examined how these three elements appear in the
stories of Primeiras Estórias e Tutaméia-Terceiras Estórias. We also analyzed his interviews, as well
as letters exchanged with friends, relatives and family, and notes recorded in diaries, notebooks and
studies for the work. This research aims to demonstrate that the historical culture of an individual is
not formed only by the school or academic knowledge, but by a wide range of knowledge and interests
that lie beyond the historiography and history itself. This dissertation considers that there is, in
Guimarães Rosa´s work, a constant need of evasion of time. The author criticizes the history in that it
favors the study on momentary and deeply desecrated events. Memory becomes, in his work as a
literary resource whose purpose is to restore the sacred dimension to events. This study is linked to the
research line "History Teaching and Historical Knowledge" of Paraíba Federal University Post
Graduation Program, with a major in History and Historical Culture , and intends to analyze the
readings and experiences that guided the statements made by Guimarães Rosa, throughout life,
"against the story." / O objetivo deste trabalho é discutir as representações sobre história, tempo e memória presentes na
literatura de João Guimarães Rosa. A pesquisa examinou o modo como estes três elementos aparecem
nos contos de Primeiras Estórias e Tutaméia Terceiras Estórias. Também foram analisadas as
entrevistas concedidas pelo escritor mineiro, assim como as cartas trocadas com amigos, parentes e
familiares, e as anotações feitas em diários, cadernos e estudos para a obra. Esta pesquisa pretendeu
demonstrar que a cultura histórica de um indivíduo não é formada apenas pelo conhecimento escolar
ou acadêmico, mas por uma ampla gama de saberes e interesses que se situam além da historiografia e
da própria ciência histórica. A presente dissertação considera que há, na obra de Guimarães Rosa, uma
constante necessidade de evasão do tempo. O autor critica a história na medida em que ela privilegia o
estudo sobre eventos passageiros e profundamente dessacralizados. A memória se transforma, em sua
obra, em recurso literário cujo objetivo é restituir a dimensão sagrada aos acontecimentos. Este estudo
se vincula à linha de pesquisa Ensino de História e Saberes Históricos do Programa de Pós-
Graduação em História da Universidade Federal da Paraíba, com área de concentração em História e
Cultura Histórica , e pretendeu perscrutar as leituras e experiências que nortearam as declarações que

Previous issue date: 2010-08-27 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / Horácio de Almeida was one of the most proficuous intellectuals from Paraíba. With a degree
in Law by the Faculty of Recife, he collaborated with various local newspapers and had a
large production about the history of the state of Paraíba, such as Brejo de Areia (1958) and
History of Paraíba (1966 and 1978). In addition, he took an active part in the IHGP and in
many other intellectual organizations in Paraíba and other states. His production, specially the
historiographical kind, always related to the construction of the history and identity of his
birth place. There was a latent concern in building a history of Paraíba with happenings and
characters singular to such space. Our research s intention is to comprehend the construction
of such discursive and symbolic specifities, called paraibanidade by Dias (1996), in
Almeidas s texts, more specifically in the two works questioned by us above mentioned. In
order to do so, we present the places and time of production of this intellectual, with whom
this author dialogued and what s his comprehension on what history is, in the elaboration of
this identity of Paraíba which evidenced the honour and strength of the men from Paraíba,
using different instruments such as the speeches in research institutions and spaces in the
press. We call this universe of meaningful instruments of Historical Culture, which is the
dimension of the representations of the social past, to which formation acts the historians
themselves, the press, the cultural producers and all the divulgers of the historical knowledge,
whether they re professionals or not. / Horácio de Almeida foi um dos intelectuais mais profícuos da Paraíba. Formado em Direito
pela Faculdade do Recife, colaborou em diversos jornais locais, e escreveu uma obra ampla
sobre a história deste Estado, tendo como exemplo: Brejo de Areia (1958) e História da
Paraíba (1966 e 1978). Da mesma forma participou efetivamente do IHGP e de diversas
outras entidades intelectuais na Paraíba e em outros Estados. A sua produção, mais
especificamente historiográfica, esteve sempre voltada à construção da história e da
identidade do seu lugar de origem. Havia uma preocupação latente em se fazer uma história
paraibana com acontecimentos e personagens singulares a este espaço. A nossa pesquisa
busca compreender a construção destas especificidades, discursivas e simbólicas, chamada
por Dias (1996) de paraibanidade, nos textos de Almeida, tendo as duas obras citadas como
fontes de nossa indagação. Para tanto procuramos apresentar os lugares e os tempos de
produção do intelectual, com quem o autor dialogava e qual a sua compreensão sobre o que é
história, na elaboração desta identidade paraibana, que evidenciava a bravura, a honra e a
força do homem paraibano, utilizando-se de instrumentos variados, como os discursos em
instituições de pesquisa e de espaços na imprensa. Chamamos aqui este universo de
instrumentos significantes de Cultura Histórica, que vem a ser a dimensão das representações
do passado social, agindo para a sua formação os próprios historiadores, os intelectuais, a
imprensa, os produtores culturais e todos os divulgadores do conhecimento histórico,
profissionais ou não.
