Especificação, instanciação e experimentação de um arcabouço para criação automática de ligações hipertexto entre informações homogêneas / Specification, instantion and experimentation of a framework intended to support the task of automatic creation of hypertext links between homogeneous repositories

Macedo, Alessandra Alaniz 02 July 2004 (has links)
Nessa fase, vários protótipos também foram construídos de modo iterativo / With the evolution of the Internet, distinct communication media have focused on the Web as a channel of information publishing. An immediate consequence is an abundance of sources of information and writing styles in the Web. This effect, combining with the inherent curiosity of human beings, has led Web users to look for more than a single article about a same subject. To gain access to separate on a same subject, readers need to search, read and analyze information provided by different sources of information. Besides consuming a great amount of time, that activity imposes a cognitive overhead to users. Several hypermedia researches have investigated mechanisms for supporting users during the process of identifying information on homogeneous repositories, available or not on the Web. In this thesis, homogeneous repositories are those containing information that describes a same subject. This thesis aims at investigating the specification and the construction of a framework intended to support the task of automatic creation of hypertext links between homogeneous repositories. The framework proposed, called CARe (Automatic Creation of Relationships), is composed of a set of classes, methods and relationships that gather information to be related, and also process that information for generating an index. Those indexes are related and used in the automatic creation of hypertext links among distinct excerpts of original information. The framework was defined based on a phase of domain analysis in which requirements were identified and software components were built. In that same phase several prototypes were developed in an iterative prototyping

Sire, Guillaume 18 November 2013 (has links)
In this thesis, we aim to disentangle the cooperative but also competitive relationship between Google and news publishers, which is at the same time technical, economic, legal, social, political and certainly communicational. In order to do so, we trace the historical development of two singular universes, describing what publishers can do to overcome the search engine and optimize their ranking. We then analyse how Google can influence publishers’ conduct, by studying power relations, respective incentives, aims, and informational and socio-economic backgrounds. Finally, we report on actual practices of French traditional news publishers: what they communicate to Google, by which means and at what price, for which expected results, after which concessions, detours and controversies. Thus, we explain how search engine optimization is likely to affect the way content is valued, its production organisation, the website’s structure, journalists’ prac tice an editorial policy. We show a back and forth movement between performative utterances and performed circumstances, having an effect on and by texts, architexts and hypertexts. To sum up, this thesis is dedicated to understanding what happens to news and publishers once they strive for their information to be found by Google's users.

Enjeux techniques et politiques de la "communication optique" entre un titre de presse imprimée et un ordiphone / Technical and political issues of "optical communication" between a newspaper and a smartphone

Fines Schlumberger, Jacques-André 06 March 2012 (has links)
Since 2002 in Asia, and 2005 in Europe and the United States, press editors and advertisers have offered access to digital content and services to readers that possess a smartphone. These new forms of communication blur the traditional relationships between press editors, advertisers and readers. To study the technical and political elements concerning these new communication services, we rely on the three-layer network approach: the physical, the logical and the content infrastructure layer. The physical layer is located between the sheet of paper and the electronic device that links the user to a network. The logical layer corresponds to the form (private or public) of what is printed on the page (i.e., human readable or machine language) and the software employed (i.e., local or distant reading), be it synchronously (augmented press) or asynchronously (graphic codes, image search or image identification). The third layer concerns the way the content from the printed page are presented on the screen of the smartphone. Our study equally aims to shed light on the current legal translations of software methods: when based on content, the methods are seen to concern intellectual property law; whereas when based on computer language they concern the laws on hyperlinks. With smartphones, a printed edition evolves from an information medium to an electronic communication channel where the context and the identity of the user play an innovative role in the transmission and access to information.

Electronic word of mouth in social media: the common characteristics of retweeted and favourited marketer-generated content posted on Twitter

Alboqami, H., Al-Karaghouli, W., Baeshen, Y., Erkan, I., Evans, C., Ghoneim, Ahmad January 2015 (has links)
No / Marketers desire to utilise electronic word of mouth (eWOM) marketing on social media sites. However, not all online content generated by marketers has the same effect on consumers; some of them are effective while others are not. This paper aims to examine different characteristics of marketer-generated content (MGC) that of which one lead users to eWOM. Twitter was chosen as one of the leading social media sites and a content analysis approach was employed to identify the common characteristics of retweeted and favourited tweets. 2,780 tweets from six companies (Booking, Hostelworld, Hotels, Lastminute, Laterooms and Priceline) operating in the tourism sector are analysed. Results indicate that the posts which contain pictures, hyperlinks, product or service information, direct answers to customers and brand centrality are more likely to be retweeted and favourited by users. The findings present the main eWOM drivers for MGC in social media.
