Identifikace emočního výrazu podle fotografií a podle krátkých videozáznamů / Identification of emotional expression from photographs and by short video recording

Jiřištová, Kamila January 2011 (has links)
and keywords This thesis is focused on identification of emotional expression in the human face. The theoretical part deals with the introduction to the emotions, expression of basic emotions characteristics and emotion recognition. The empirical part is concerned with the research of emotion identification from photographs and short movie swatches. The aim of this thesis is to evidence the importance of knowing the context of the situation while recognising the emotions. In the research I focused the attention on the six basic emotions (fear, anger, sadness, surprise, joy and disgust/contempt). The research confirmed my assumptions only partially: the knowledge of the context of the situation facilitates identification of some emotions, but some make the identification significantly more difficult (some emotional expressions in the context of the situation were not recognized at all). Keywords: emotions, basic emotions, identification of emotions, emotional expression in the face, context

Identifikace mluvčího v temporální doméně řeči / Speaker identification in the temporal domain of speech

Weingartová, Lenka January 2015 (has links)
This thesis aims to thoroughly describe the temporal characteristics of spoken Czech by means of phone durations and their changes under the influence of several prosodic and segmental factors, such as position in a higher unit (syllable, word or prosodic phrase), length of the higher unit, segmental environment, structure of the syllable or phrase-final lengthening. The speech material comes from a semi-spontaneous corpus of scripted dialogues comprising 4046 utterances by 34 speakers. The descriptions are afterwards used for the creation of a rule-based temporal model, which provides a baseline for analysing local articulation rate contours and their speaker-specificity. The results indicate, that systematic speaker-specific differences can be found in the segmental domain, as well as in the temporal contours. Moreover, speaker identification potential of articulation rate and global temporal features is also assessed. Keywords: temporal characteristics, temporal modelling, phone duration, speaker identification, Czech

Právní a sociální aspekty daktyloskopování osob / Personal dactyloscopy {--} its legal and social aspects

MIKLOŠ, Petr January 2007 (has links)
This diploma thesis is focused on criminalistic dactyloscopy, one of many methods of personal identification by fingerprints used in criminalistic praxis. However, this activity involves interventions and restrictions of human rights of persons being dactyloscoped. The areas affected are mainly personal data protection, human dignity and freedom and personal security rights. Thus this procedure has to be legal, reasonable and legitimate. The aim of this diploma thesis is to provide a complete description of historical development, possible uses and legal framework of criminalistic dactyloscopy. Closely connected to this topic are definitions of several conceptions. The basis of this work lies in an evaluation and comparison of the state of dactyloscopic identification prior to 1990. It also notes the changes occurring after this date and changes connected with the entry of the Czech Republic into the European Union. The aim of this work is to provide the reader or any person interested in this topic with basics of procedures of dactyloscopic analysis and a list of related books for additional information. Resulting from these aims of this work and from the study of professional literature, following hypotheses were established: There was insufficient legal protection of dactyloscoped subjects prior to 1990. After 1990, a gradual development of legal system created conditions of adequate human rights protection of dactyloscoped subjects. Both hypotheses were confirmed by professional literature and legal regulations, mainly Law No. 40/1974 (on the former police functioning), International Pact of Civil and Political Rights as stated in the Law No. 120/1976 Coll., Law No. 283/1991 Coll. (on the Police of Czech Republic) within the meaning of later regulations, Law No. 101/2000 (on personal data protection) and further legal norms. The concept of this diploma thesis is to provide a complete overview of criminalistic dactyloscopy and a basic sketch of the development of human rights protection of dactyloscoped subjects. Its readers can compare current situation with historical development. It should give them a wider understanding of this topic with the aim of orientating the readers in basic law regulations and providing them with a list of extra resources.

Svět roviny a svět prostoru v předmatematické gramotnosti / World of plane and world of space in pre-mathematical literacy

Lorencová, Karolina January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of distinguishing and denominating of geometric models by children aged five to six years. The aim of the work is to find out to what extent children are currently able to distinguish the world of the plane and the world of space and to what extent these two worlds merge for children. There are three hypotheses. H1: "Children are able to identify at least half of objects from a set of spatial bodies selected from a construction set.", hypothesis H2: "More than a half of children are confused naming planar and spatial objects." and hypothesis H3: "When identifying some of the objects familiar to children, they come up with their own names for them." To verify them, quantitative research was used, which also used audio recording to get data and to be able analyze the observed phenomena. The research confirmed all of those three these hypotheses. Two thousand two hundred data were analyzed. The work on a sample of hundred children shows what the level of object distinction and naming them is currently among preschool children in the Pilsen region. It opens up a number of other areas that need to be further addressed and lots of questions to be answered. These include mixing the world of space and the plane. KEYWORDS Space; plane; identification of 3D objects;...
