Genderové aspekty hraní počítačových her / Gender aspect of playing video games

Fousek Krobová, Tereza January 2021 (has links)
This dissertation deals with various gender aspects of playing computer games. It describes how gender stereotypes are connected with the level of production, content, and with the players themselves. In this sense, it shows that games are still created mainly by homogeneous male teams, in order to attract male players, they contain mainly male characters, while the female ones are created to be attractive to these ideal male players. However, the primary goal of this dissertation is to describe the different ways and intensities of the relationship with the avatar, the playable character in the game. The analytical part consists of two illustrative case studies, one concerning female heterosexual players, the other male heterosexual players. The basic premise is the fact that the player "plays gender" - that is, performs it similarly to social reality. However, this performance is not just a reconstruction and confirmation of hypothetically stable gender identities, but on the contrary their deconstruction ("playing with gender"). In this sense, the work pays particular attention to situations where the player and the avatar have different genders and the heterosexual player, therefore, identifies with the avatar but also objectifies him/her. This dissertation aims to emphasize the uniqueness of...

Studium mikrokrystalických inkluzí v jednobuněčných řasách pomocí Ramanovy mikroskopie / Microcrystalline inclusions in microalgae studied via Raman microscopy

Suja, Matyáš January 2019 (has links)
Many freshwater, terrestrial or marine microalgae contain various microcrystalline inclusions that they use in their life cycle. However, the identification of the molecular composition of these inclusions via many physical or chemical methods is often very difficult and susceptible to many measurement errors. Therefore, the chemical composition of these microcrystals in many microalgae has not been determined at all or may be incorrect. One of the high precision methods capable of determining the composition of microcrystalline bodies within microalgae is Raman confocal microscopy. This very promising method of optical vibrational spectroscopy allows rapid and non-destructive molecular analysis of objects. Raman microscopy does not require chemical extraction, modification or other color marking or staining of the sample. Therefore, it can directly measure living cells at various stages of their natural development. The chemical composition of the sample is then characterized by its corresponding Raman vibrational spectrum. The aim of this diploma thesis is to determine the presence of microcrystals in different species of microalgae, study the conditions of their occurrence and identify their chemical composition via Raman microscopy.

Využití syntaktické informace pro identifikaci hodnocených entit / Využití syntaktické informace pro identifikaci hodnocených entit

Glončák, Vladan January 2019 (has links)
Opinion Target Extraction (OTE) is a well-established subtask of sentiment analysis. While detecting sentiment polarity is useful in itself, the ability to extract the targets of the opinions allows for more thorough decision making. For example, an owner of a restaurant needs to know whether the guests are complaining about the food, or the ambience, or any other aspect of their establishment, etc. Despite the lexical information being crucial for the task, syntactic structures have potential in being used to correctly decide among multiple candidate entities. Rules based on such structures have been used previously for the task. The objective of this thesis is to investigate, whether syntactic information influences the behavior of the state-of-the-art models such as recurrent neural networks for the OTE task. We did not find any substantial evidence to suggest that adding the syntactic information influences the behavior of the models.

Zajištění bezpečnosti online platebních služeb / Ensuring security of online payment services

Havlíková, Nikola January 2019 (has links)
Ensuring security of online payment services Abstract The thesis is devoted to the topic of ensuring security of online payment services, especially in the context of identification and authentication of the client in the Internet when performing acts related to the provision of payment services. The issue of the customer identity is described especially in the context of know your customer principle governed by legal regulation in the area of combating money laundering and financing of terrorism, and in the context of the obligation to carry out a strong customer authentication (SCA) brought by the PSD2 directive and related RTS. The aim of the thesis is to describe and critically evaluate the legislation in the area of ensuring security of online payment services, meaning the binding legislation, soft law and rules created by entities operating on the payment services market. In this context, the thesis also deals with the question of proportionality of legislation in connection to the positive user experience and the possibility of implementing innovative FinTech solutions. The thesis is divided into four chapters, supplemented by introduction to the respective subject matter and conclusion summarizing the observations made in the thesis. The first chapter is devoted to the general definition of the...

Počítadlo identifikačních procesů mezi třetí a čtvrtou generací přistěhovalců ve Francii. Případ Marseille a jeho arabské komunity / Counter identification processes among the third-fourth generation of immigrants in France. The case of Marseille and its Arabic community

la Forgia, Enrico Maria January 2020 (has links)
The importance of the thesis derived from the perspective offered: issues concerning immigration and integration often have been dealt with approaches which stress the conflictuality between faiths and cultures, or unload on the immigrant, meant as individual, the burden of a failed or successful "integration". In countries such as France, where concepts such as integration and assimilation continue to engage in the public debate even though they are dealing with the third and fourth generation of immigrants, the fallacy of these approaches is relevantly shared among scholars. Hence, my choice to highlight the negative inputs entered by the State/society, and perceived as threat and discrimination by the French with Arab origins, is justified by the need for a different approach. In fact, among the final results of the thesis, appears the trend (more or less extended among the young "Beurs") of re-establishing their identity on ethnicity and religion rather than their French nationality, since not always perceived by peers and institutions/authorities as pure French.

Metal - hudba, kultura, identita / Metal - music, culture, identity

Hudcová, Lucie January 2015 (has links)
The topic of my diploma thesis is how listeners of metal identify themselves with metal as a music genre and which form of colectivity they generate on the basis of their common musical taste. At first I introduce a short history and development of metal music and then I characterize the concepts of social sciences, that deals with the study of musical cultures and also the concepts of subcultural capital and identity, which I use in my work. The main part of my work constitutes an interpretation of data from my research between metalists, which took place on metal concerts in Prague and on metal festivals in the Czech Republic in the form of participant observation and half-structured and non-formal interviews with listeners of this genre. My research ascertained what does it mean to be a metalist, how important part of life metal represents for its listeners, which shared attitudes and values metal generates, what produces the sense of belonging of metalists and if there is any inner division between them.

Porovnání přesnosti simultánní a sekvenční line-up identifikace u trestného činu s více pachateli / Comparing simultaneous and sequential line-up identification accuracy for a multiple perpetrator crime

Rác, Jaroslav January 2021 (has links)
Eyewitness identification is being researched for many years prior. However, research on eyewitness identifiaction was mostly conducted with crimes that involved only one perpetrator. For this reason, the present thesis focuses on eyewitness identification for a multiple perpetrator crime. The literature review summarises current knowledge regarding each aspect of recognition and tries to bring insight into the problem of recognition for multiple perpetrator crimes. For the empirical part of this thesis, an experiment was conducted, which aimed to compare simultaneous and sequential line-up identification accuracy. The experiment was changed from live to on-line enviroment due to the pandemic situation. The experiment was conducted on 151 young adult participants. Participants viewed a mock crime video recording involving a perpetrator and his accomplice. Participants were then randomly assigned two simultaneous or sequential line-ups and a target-present or target-absent condition. A week after viewing the video recording, each participant tried to identify the perpetrator and the accomplice in the assigned condition. Results indicated no statistically significant difference between simultaneous and sequential line-up identification. Discussion tries to explain possible influence of changing the...
