Policejní identifikace osob v Československu mezi lety 1918 a 1938 / Police Identification of Persons in Czechoslovakia between 1918 and 1938

Tůma, Lukáš January 2011 (has links)
This thesis is focused on police techniques of identification of persons used in Czechoslovakia between 1918 and 1938. The goal of this thesis was to show, how the police identification of persons should look like, in other words which techniques were used by criminologists, how they described them, which accomplishments and negatives they saw in them, who had to be identified and for which purpose. To answer all these questions I deal with political and administrative context of Czechoslovakia, police structure in Czechoslovakia between 1918 and 1938 and development of criminology, "bertillonage" and documents of identification (especially passports) in the first part of the text, where I mainly use secondary literature. Then I focus on analysis of three main techniques of identification used between 1918 and 1938, namely dactyloscopy, graphology and photography. In this part of the thesis, I use criminology manuals, published in the twenties and thirties. Finally, I work with the fourth technique of identification of persons, namely the description of persons, where I mainly use forms, which are in the criminology manuals. Thus, heart of this work is based on normative documents from the twenties and thirties wrote by criminalists or graphologists. Keywords Police, criminology, identification,...

FONOTAKTICKÉ A AKUSTICKÉ ROZPOZNÁVÁNÍ JAZYKŮ / PHONOTACTIC AND ACOUSTIC LANGUAGE RECOGNITION

Matějka, Pavel January 2009 (has links)

Modelování dynamiky prosodie pro rozpoznávání řečníka / Modelling Prosodic Dynamics for Speaker Recognition

Jančík, Zdeněk January 2008 (has links)
Most current automatic speaker recognition system extract speaker-depend features by looking at short-term spectral information. This approach ignores long-term information. I explored approach that use the fundamental frequency and energy trajectories for each speaker. This approach models prosody dynamics on single fonemes or syllables. It is known from literature that prosodic systems do not work as well the acoustic one but it improve the system when fusing. I verified this assumption by fusing my results with state of the art acoustic system from BUT. Data from standard evaluation campaigns organized by National Institute of Standarts and Technology are used for all experiments.

Finanční dopady rizik ve stavebnictví a jejich řízení / Risk in Costruction Industry: The Management and Financial Impact

Štěpánková, Vladěna January 2017 (has links)
The present dissertation studies financial impacts of risks in the construction industry, providing one of possible ways of the risks expression and monitoring, through which they can be efficiently managed. Theoretical assumptions and selected methodology provided basis for an overall analysis of the Czech Republic construction market, identifying possible external risks sources including their processing and description. The present dissertation aims at finding major risks and assessing their financial impacts that pose threats to companies active in the construction sector, indeed a specific sector for doing business. These risks have been compiled in a Risk Catalogue intended as a guide for selected risks management. To elaborate on the risks identified, two specific companies have were selected, having provided their data (financial reports, accounts statements, number of projects contracted including their volume and type, personnel information, etc.), as well as key indicators they have been using. The dissertation outcome presents construction sector analysis and Risk Register compilation. The work clearly defines the procedure of the Register compilation, possibly to be used by construction companies with respect to recurrent activities and the risks involved. The Catalogue sorts risks in categories and defines their possible occurrence as well as their financial impact on the company. Furthermore, it presents their possible management, i.e. how they can be minimized or even eliminated, as well as necessary costs involved. Indeed, the costs have to be considered in the sense of financial impacts so that it does not result in covering risks with rather low financial impact.

Identifikace emočního výrazu se zaměřením na porovnávání slyšících, neslyšících a nedoslýchavých / Identification of emotional expression with a focus on the comparison of deaf, hearing and hearing-impaired

Doubková, Alžběta January 2014 (has links)
This thesis is focused on the identification of emotional expressions in the human face. The theoretical part includes an introduction to the issue of emotions, the history research on the identification of emotional expressions, the description of the various expressions of basic emotions and their recognition followed with the characteristics of the group of hearing-impaired. In the empirical part the research on the recognition identification of emotions in the face from the portraits is described. The aim of this thesis is to compare the accuracy of identification of emotional expressions among the groups of hearing, deaf and hard of hearing, and their development across all age categories. In my research I focus on the seven basic emotions (fear, anger, sadness, surprise, hapiness, disgust and contempt) and one social emotions (shame). The research did not confirm my assumptions. No statistically significant difference among the three groups in the overall identification of emotional expression was proved. The only difference was in the recognition of disgust which resulted in favor of the hearing. In the general comparison of ages between the hearing impaired (the deaf and the hard of hearing together) any significant differences were not discovered, either. Nevertheless, within each age...

Procházková, Dominika January 2015 (has links)
The thesis is devoted to the topic of Peruvian rural migrants in the capital of Lima and the maintaining their cultural identity through associations focused on folklore. In the first part I will outline the socio-economic reasons for migration and the adaptation issues of migrants in an urban environment. There are also described associations that provide economic as well as psychological support to immigrants. The main part is focused directly on folklore as the basis of identity and folklore associations in Lima. I chose folklore associations from Puno as a representative sample because of their rich cultural activities. I will demonstrate how organizations work, who their members are and what activities they pursue. The conclusion questions the modern musical fusions in Peru and the future of the Andean culture in an urban environment.
