Užívání glotalizace jako faktor umožňující identifikaci mluvčího / Use of glottalization as a factor enabling speaker identification

Skákal, Ladislav January 2015 (has links)
While handling the task of speaker identification, forensic phoneticians use a combination of various parameters contained in different levels of speech signal. The main aim of the present thesis is to explore whether glottalization in Czech may be considered as a potentially useful parameter in this sense. In our research, we focus on the rate of prevocalic glottalization at word boundaries and we distinguish between different realisations of glottalization: canonical glottal stop and its hypoarticulated form - creaky voice. The studied material consists of repeated recordings of three male and four female speakers and contains both read text and spontaneous speech. The results do not indicate that the same speaker would use glottalization differently in the first and second recording, but a difference in glottalization is found between speakers. From the forensic phonetics point of view, this finding seems to be useful. Marginally, some other factors which are not directly connected with the speaker (height of following vowel, lexical factors and speech rate) were examined, but no influence on glottalization was found. Keywords: glottal stop, glottalization, forensic phonetics, speaker identification

Molekulární fylogeneze rodu Geosmithia / Molecular phylogeny of the genus Geosmithia

Korittová, Celie January 2013 (has links)
The genus Geosmithia contains 11 described and several tens of undescribed species of fungi living nearly exclusively in galleries of subcorticolous insects, especially bark beetles. In this work, a phylogenetic analysis of the genus was made using DNA sequences of four protein-coding genes, namely TEF-1, RPB2, Mcm7 and Tsr1. The analysis has confirmed that ecological strategies of these fungi (such as association with conifers or broad leaved trees or symbiosis with ambrosia beetles) have evolved several times in this genus. 51 species are recognized based on the obtained phylogenetic tree according to Genealogical Concordance Phylogenetic Species Recognition. I have also tested utility of the above mentioned genes to serve as "barcode" for identification of closely related Geosmithia species.

Anonymita akcionářů a podmínky jejich identifikace / Anonymity of shareholders and the requierements for their identification

Paulus, David January 2012 (has links)
Anonymity of shareholders and the requierements for their identification This thesis concentrates on the anonymity of shareholders which is currently one of the most discussed aspects of the corporate law. The topicality of this issue was one of the reasons for the selection of this topic. Czech legislation has been criticized both by NGOs and a large part of Czech population for the excessive simplicity of the use of anonymous shares and for owners identification impossibility.. The paper is focused on ways of both hiding the beneficial owner of shares and also shareholders identification. This work is written during the ongoing debate on the abolition of bearer shares, which is considered to be an instrument for corruption or legalization of proceeds from criminal activities, so-called money laundering. Debates on the abolition (or at least reducing) of the shareholders anonymity are being held not only in the Czech Republic. Many countries have already implemented certain instruments in this area. Bearer shares have been canceled without compensations in some countries, , other countries allowed their demeterialized or immobilized form. The aim of this work is to analyze not only valid and effective legislation, but also the legislation enacted in connection with the recodification of private...

Experimentální analýza pohybového projevu osob / Experimental motion analysis of human locomotion

Málková, Monika January 2013 (has links)
Title: Experimental motion analysis of human locomotion Objectives: The aim of this work is verification of the hypothesis that it is possible to identify humans using measurement of parameters of their gait taken from surveillance camera's records. Methods: In our thesis we used the method of comparison. The aim of the experiment is comparison of parameters measured in different trials of each subject under different conditions (different walking speeds, with or without clothes on, and using either 2D or 3D record), as well as comparison across different subjects. Results: We found that using a 3D record of human gait, it is possible to improve our capability of identifying them. We also found that it is necessary to compare either dressed subjects strictly among themselves or stripped subjects strictly among themselves, because otherwise the comparison is not meaningful. Furthermore, we found that using our geometrical methods, it is possible to deduce gait parameters from a 2D camera record when it comes to height of the subject, but not so for length of their step. Keywords: gait, identification, kinematic analysis, forensic biomechanics
