Kommunikationens betydelse i operationssalen utifrån operationssjuksköterskans perspektiv / The importance of communication in the operating room from the operating nurse's perspective

Lysell, Linda, Alfredsson, Ellinor January 2023 (has links)
The operating room nurse works in a high-tech and complex environment, where collaboration takes place multi-professionally. In order to maintain good and safe care for the patient, good communication is needed. The operating room nurse has a responsibility to create a good atmosphere in the operating room and cooperate with the team to provide an ethical approach to the patient. Research shows if communication is lacking in the operating room, there is an increased risk of care being compromised. The purpose was to highlight the communication in the operation team in the operating theatre from the operating room nurse's perspective. A systematic literature review with a qualitative design was conducted. The search was conducted in the Cinahl and PubMed databases. Thirteen scientific articles were analysed according to Bettany-Saltikov and McSherry's (2016) analysis model. The result is presented in three main categories and are important for communication. being affected by the work environment in the operating room, the team relations are affected in the operating room and importance for safe care. A good knowledge and understanding of how respectful versus disrespectful behaviour affects the communication is important to promote a good atmosphere in the operating theatre. This leads to good cooperation in the operation team and strengthens patient safety.

Sjuksköterskans upplevelser av existentiell omvårdnad inom palliativ vård / Nurses experiences of existential care in the palliative care

Andersson, Hanna, Rezai, Reza January 2020 (has links)
Background: Existential care is one of the four dimensions when caring for a human and to provide existential care is included in the nurse profession. People in palliative care are vulnerable and to ease the persons suffering is the main focus. Despite this, the existential dimension is often forgotten and people suffer. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe nurses experience of existential care in the palliative care. Method: A qualitative literature review with twelve scientific articles were used. The search for articles was made in databases and Fribergs five step analysis was used during the article analysis. Result: Through the analyses, three main categories were formed. Importance of the relationship described the great value of being present and creating a balance. The importance of communication described the verbal and non-verbal conversations. And Challenges for the daily work described the feeling of inadequacy. Conclusion: Nurses experienced challenges with providing an existential care. Lack of time and knowledge led to nurses experiencing a feeling of inadequacy whilst a good communication and relationship with the patients facilitated in identifying a patient's existential needs.

Lärares arbetssätt i träning av elevers matematiska resonemang / Teacher's working methods when they are training students in mathematical reasoning

Linsten, Linda January 2014 (has links)
The ability to apply and follow mathematical reasoning is an ability students should develop according to Curriculum for the compulsory school, preeschool class and the leisure- time centre 2011. The purpose of this survey was to find out how teachers in compulsory school and preeschool class work with the ability to apply and follow mathematical reasoning. I was also interested in investigating if participation in continuing professional development in mathematics influence the teachers way of working with the students. The survey consisted of six qualitative interviewees in which three of the interviewees were part of continuing professional development in didactics for teachers educating mathematics. The result showed that all interviewees consider that it is importent to communicate mathematics, both between students as well as between teachers and students. The teachers included in continuing professinonal development showed a clear consciousness in their work to reason and follow mathematical reasoning. However, among some interviewees the consiousness appeared to come from their experience and which reflects their way of working. The student's age and how far they have developed their language also appeared to be significance to how capable they are of reasoning. The teachers analyze the ability to apply and follow mathematical reasoning, it's meaning and usage, differently.
