The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of ryegrass pasture (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) combined with a partial TMR or a TMR on the enteric methane emissions, dry matter intake (DMI), and performance of dairy cows from mid- to late lactation. The experimental treatments included 100% TMR (control), partial TMR + 6 h of continuous grazing (0900 – 1500 h) and partial TMR + 6 h of grazing that was divided into 2 periods of 3 h after milking (0900 – 1200 h; 1530 – 1830 h). Twelve F1 cows (Holstein × Jersey; 132 ± 44 days in milk) were divided into 6 lots and distributed in a 3 × 3 Latin square design with 3 periods of 21 d (15 d of adaptation and 6 d of evaluation). Ryegrass pasture was used, and the TMR was composed of 80% corn silage, 18% soybean meal, and 2% mineral and vitamins mixture, based on dry matter (DM). The same mixture was used for cows with access to pasture. The total DMI (average = 16.1 kg/d) and milk production ( average = 20.0 kg/d) were similar for all cows; however, the pasture DMI (7.4 vs. 6.0 kg/d) and grazing period (+ 40 min/d) were higher in cows that had access to pasture for 2 periods of 3 h compared to those that grazed for a continuous 6 h period. Methane emission was higher (656 vs. 547 g/d) in confined cows than in those receiving partial TMR + pasture. The inclusion of ryegrass pasture in the diet of dairy cows maintained animal performance and reduced enteric methane emissions. The percentage of grazed forage in the cow’s diet increased when access to pasture was provided in 2 periods after morning and afternoon milking / A inclusão da forragem em sistemas de produção de leite baseados em ração totalmente misturada (RTM) reduz os custos com a alimentação, traz benefícios à saúde do rebanho e reduz o impacto ambiental. O presente estudo objetivou avaliar o efeito do pastejo de azevém (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) combinado com o uso de RTM parcial em comparação à RTM sobre a emissão de metano, a ingestão de matéria seca (IMS) e o desempenho das vacas no terço médio de lactação. Os tratamentos experimentais foram 100% RTM (controle), RTM parcial + 6h de pastejo contínuo (09:00–15:00h) e RTM parcial + 6 h de pastejo divididos em dois períodos de três horas (09:00 – 12:00 h; 15:30 – 18:30h). Doze vacas F1 (Holandês × Jersey; 132 ± 44 DEL) foram divididas em seis lotes e distribuídas em um Quadrado latino com três períodos de 21 dias (15 dias de adaptação e 6 de dias avaliação). O pasto utilizado foi o azevém e a RTM foi composta de 80% de silagem de milho, 18% farelo de soja, e 2% de mistura mineral e vitaminas (na matéria seca, MS). A mesma mistura foi utilizada para as vacas com acesso ao pasto. A IMS total (média = 16,1 kg MS/dia) e a produção de leite (média = 20,0 kg leite/dia) foram similares entre os tratamentos, entretanto, a IMS de pasto (7,4 vs. 6,0 kg/d) e o tempo de pastejo (+ 40 min/d) foram superiores nas vacas com acesso ao pasto por dois períodos de 3h quando comparadas às vacas com acesso ao pasto por 6h contínuas. A emissão de metano foi maior (656 vs. 547 g/d) nas vacas confinadas do que nos animais recebendo RTM parcial + pasto. A inclusão de pasto de azevém na dieta de vacas leiteiras recebendo RTM manteve o desempenho animal e reduziu a emissão de metano entérico. A proporção de forragem pastejada aumentou nas vacas com acesso ao pasto quando o período de acesso foi dividido em dois períodos após a ordenha da manhã e a ordenha da tarde

The stored objects in the LOR can be accessed and used in severals LMSs that include them, increasing the resource available variety to mount a course whith their evaluative activities. This dissertation aproachs the proposal of architecture for integration of the Distance Education Secretary?s (DES) LOR of Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte with LMS Moodle using tha LTI especification developed by IMS Global Leaning Consortion.

Resumo: O objetivo desta pesquisa é propor um método para introdução de práticas integradas de gestão da qualidade, meio ambiente e segurança e saúde no trabalho a ser implantado coletivamente pelas PMEs pertencentes a clusters industriais. Este método foi desenvolvido com base em uma revisão bibliográfica e uma pesquisa de campo, que ajudou a conhecer o ambiente e o comportamento das PMEs em um cluster. Para consecução do proposto, selecionou-se o cluster industrial metal-mecânico localizado na cidade de Sertãozinho-SP como base para uma pesquisa exploratória, visando contribuir com a formulação do método. Os instrumentos utilizados para a coleta de dados foram a entrevista semi-estruturada com o agente de governança e o questionário aplicado em uma amostra de 20 empresas do aglomerado. Com base no referencial teórico, elaborou-se um método para introdução de práticas integradas de gestão. este método está dividido em três macroetapas: (i) preparação/planejamento, (ii) implantação e (iii) avaliação e manutenção. Cada uma das etapas é composta por ações que devem ser desenvolvidas pelas empresas e pela governança. A implantação deste método requer acompanhamento constante do agente de governança do cluster, além de ser um processo que busca a melhoria contínua / Abstract: The objective of this research is to propose a practical method for introducing integrated quality management, environment, safety and health at work to be implemented collectively by SMEs belonging to industrial clusters. This method was development based on a literature review and field research, which helped to understand the environment and the behavior or SMEs in a cluster. To achieve the proposed selected to the metal-mechanic industrial cluster located in the town of Sertaozinho-SP as a basis for exploratory research, to contribute to the formulation of the method. The instruments used for data collection were semi-structured interview with the agent of governance and the questionnaire in a sample of 20 companies of the custer. Based on the theoretical framework, developed a method for introduction of integrated management practices. This method is divided into three macroetapas: (i) preparation/planning, (ii) deployment and (iii) evaluation and maintenance. Each stage consists of actions that should be developed by business and governance. El dinámico desarrollo de las Telecomunicaciones Móviles, la convergencia de las tecnologías y arquitecturas de Telecomunicaciones fija – móvil, la masificación de los terminales inteligentes, la creciente demanda de mayor ancho de banda hacia aplicaciones computacionales en la nube y la necesidad de interacción en línea con el menor retardo posible impulsan el ecosistema de las redes de próxima generación. Este ecosistema ya es realidad y plantea desafíos de estudio, actualización y capacitación a los profesionales que trabajan en los Operadores de Telecomunicaciones, Proveedores de Servicios de Valor Agregado y también a los futuros egresados de Ingeniería Civil Electricista de la Universidad de Chile. El presente trabajo de título, tiene como motivación satisfacer la necesidad de capacitación existente enfocando el contenido del curso y del laboratorio a las tres tecnologías convergentes por excelencia: la primera; Acceso LTE (Long Term Evolution) que corresponde a la “Evolución a Largo Plazo” de las Redes Móviles en su camino a la cuarta generación, la segunda; Packet Core IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) que corresponde a la plataforma habilitadora de servicios basados en Paquetes IP y la tercera; ISP (Internet Service Provider) que corresponde a la red que brinda acceso a la red global de servicios IP que es Internet. El objetivo general del trabajo de título es el desarrollo de material docente para realizar un curso teórico y un laboratorio con experiencias prácticas de LTE, IMS e ISP. Para lograr el objetivo planteado, se utiliza la metodología docente empleada en el diseño y la construcción de cursos universitarios, que consiste en estructurar un plan de estudios, compuesto por unidades programáticas, las que a su vez están compuestas por módulos de instrucción. El conjunto de componentes de la metodología docente permite implementar un curso y someterlo a un proceso de mejora continua. El resultado del trabajo es un curso teórico compuesto por cinco capítulos y un laboratorio compuesto por cinco experiencias prácticas. Cada unidad programática materializa sus contenidos teóricos en presentaciones y sus contenidos prácticos en guías de experiencias. Además se realiza una propuesta de tareas y evaluaciones acumulativas. Las unidades programáticas resultantes son tres: LTE, IMS e ISP y el curso termina con la aplicación de un examen final. La experiencia práctica LTE fue validada en demostraciones y pruebas realizadas a los Operadores Nacionales VTR y Entel, en conjunto con la empresa ZTE. Dada la gran extensión y cobertura del curso teórico, este fue parcialmente validado en presentaciones al Operador VTR y además en presentaciones internas a los profesores guía y co-guía. La memoria de título plantea una propuesta innovadora para un curso electivo del DIE de la Universidad de Chile, tiene valor agregado para los Operadores de Telecomunicaciones y proyecciones en el plano investigativo, pues la habilitación del laboratorio LTE constituye una excelente plataforma para nuevos trabajos y validaciones de modelos teóricos.

Pertinence des normes et standards dans les dispositifs de formation à distance / Standards’ relevance in distance learning systems

Ce travail de thèse s’intéresse au sujet de la normalisation dans le champ de la formation à distance. Parmi les multiples propositions de normalisation, notre intérêt porte plus particulièrement sur l’enrichissement du dernier standard de fait IMS-LD. Nous souhaitons de ce fait introduire la notion de pertinence de la normalisation qui signifie la capacité d’IMS-LD de prescrire des scénarios pédagogiques qui répondent réellement à certains principes pédagogiques. Pour notre recherche, nous nous sommes intéressés à une des composantes essentielles de l’apprentissage (Leontiev, 1981), il s’agit de la motivation à apprendre. Ce travail nous a permis d’obtenir trois principaux résultats qui ont été validés en effectuant des études de cas: il s’agit d’abord d’une démarche de scénarisation à posteriori fondée sur les théories de l’activité ; Elle décrit, à partir des traces, le déroulement effectif d’une activité d’apprentissage. Le deuxième résultat est une taxonomie fondée sur la théorie des actes de langage ; Elle permet de traduire quelques composantes de la motivation en un ensemble d’actes de langage observables dans une trace de discussion par « Chat ». Quant au troisième résultat, il s’agit d’un modèle descriptif de la motivation qui rend compte, à partir des traces, des perceptions et ses origines. Ce modèle se sert de notre taxonomie et repose sur le concept des paires adjacentes issu de l’analyse conversationnelle. Enfin, nos conclusions exposent de plus des résultats secondaires et ouvrent des perspectives pour la poursuite de notre question sur la pertinence des normes. / This thesis focuses on standardization in the field of distance learning. Among the many proposed standards, our interest focuses on the enrichment of latest standard proposal, which is the IMS-LD standard. We would therefore introduce the standardization relevance notion which means the ability of IMS-LD prescribes learning scenarios that actually meet certain educational principles. For our research, we focused on an essential component of learning (Leontiev, 1981), it is the motivation to learn. From this thesis, we obtained three main results validated by conducting case studies: first, is an activity theories’ posteriori design based approach; It describes, from traces, the actual learning activity scenario taking into account its human factors. The second result is a taxonomy based on the speech acts theory; it allowed us to translate some motivation components as a set of speech acts observed in « Chat » discussion. The third result is a motivation descriptive model that reflects, from the traces, the perceptions and their origins. This model uses our taxonomy and is based on the adjacency pairs concept derived from conversational analysis. Finally, our conclusions explain further, our secondary results and provide opportunities for continuing our question about standards relevance.

Vários organismos internacionais, como o IMS, IEEE e ADL, vêm apresentando interesse num trabalho colaborativo para a padronização de Educação a Distância, na tentativa de convergência da variedade de teorias e aplicações na área educacional. No que tange a Educação baseada em Web Semântica foi analisado o modelo da especificação IMS Learning Design. Um dos problemas apontados tem sido o desenvolvimento do Design Educacional adequados aos padrões de interoperabilidade e reutilização, independentes do ambiente de aprendizagem, através do uso de metadados que permitem a caracterização, gerenciamento, localiza¸c ao e correspondência entre sistemas. O presente trabalho possibilitou a imersão nestes dois grandes campos do saber, o Design Educacional e o Learning Design, que serviram de base para a investigação e caracterização desta pesquisa. Neste sentido, foi proposto um Módulo de Gestão e Adequação de Unidades de Aprendizagem baseado na Ontologia IMS Learning Design, construído a partir das observações e interações junto à equipe de Educação a Distância dos cursos de Educação Profissional do Estado de Pernambuco, partindo do objetivo de analisar as principais especificações utilizadas no desenvolvimento de Unidades de Aprendizagem, quanto aos aspectos de interoperabilidade, reutilização e adaptação de material educacional. Com base no Estado da Arte, buscou-se implementar uma arquitetura, que permitiu o gerenciamento, como atividades de Planejamento, Produção, Aprovação e Adequação à especificação IMS Learning Design, aplicada aos testes de conformidade, e a partir dos dados obtidos, o sistema de testes utilizado detectou todos os conteúdos com falhas, como também a conformidade dos elementos isentos de falhas, após a adoção da especificação.

The IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is an open IP based service infrastructure that enables an easy deployment of new rich multimedia services mixing voice and data. The IMS is an overlay network on top of IP that uses SIP as the primary signaling mechanism. As an emerging technology, the SIP standard will certainly be the target of Denial of Service (DoS) attacks and consequently IMS will also inherit this problem. The objective of proposed architecture for IMS is to cram the potential attacks and security threats to IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and explore the security solutions developed by 3GPP. This research work incorporates the ideas of immune system and multiagent architecture that is capable of detecting, identifying and recovering from an attack. The proposed architecture protects IMS core components i.e. P-CSCF (Proxy- Call Session Control Function), I-CSCF (Interrogating-Call Session Control Function), S-CSCF (Serving Call Session Control Function) and HSS (Home Subscriber Server) from external and internal threats like eavesdropping, SQL injection and denial-ofservice (DoS) attacks. In the first level i.e. CPU under normal load all incoming and out going messages were investigated to detect and prevent SQL injection. Second level considers Denial of Service (DOS) attacks when CPU load exceeds threshold limit. Proposed architecture is designed and evaluated by using an approach called Architecture Tradeoff Analysis Method (ATAM). Extending IMS specifications based on the charging needs of IPTV

With the standardization of IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), the telecommunications scene becomes more and more converged and in the future we will most likely access our services from all kinds of devices and link them together. One important future access method that has so far been left out of the standardization is television. There is a need for Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) to work together with IMS and this thesis focuses on one aspect of that convergence, namely charging. The problem explored in this thesis is if there is an efficient way of charging for IPTV services while taking advantage of the IMS charging functionality and this is done for two aspects of the problem. First, the possiblilty of an efficient Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) signaling schema is investigated and then a good charging Application Programming Interface (API) to be used when developing applications is investigated. The findings of these two investigations are then tested and improved during the implementation of a demo application. This thesis delivers specifications for a signaling schema that enables a Set-Top Box (STB) to pass charging information to an IMS network via INFO requests inside a special charging session. The schema is small and extendable to ensure that it can be modified further on if necessary. The thesis also delivers an encapsulating and intuitive charging API to be used by developers who want to charge for their services.

Ready for take-off : A study of international market selection of Swedish SMEs in the knowledge-intensive service sector

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the service sector have gained highly important roles in the strive for growth and economic welfare. World economy changes creates both international business opportunities and pressure for small and medium enterprises to internationalise. International market selection (IMS) is considered the most vital decision when creating an internationalisation strategy. Nevertheless, the lack of both research attention and empirical insights has created a knowledge gap. Investigate how Swedish SMEs in the knowledge-intensive service sector perform their IMS. By answering the research question, this study will contribute to greater understanding in both theory and practice. The purpose is to add to theory in the field as well as contribute with an additional IMS model for this specific firm type. Through examination of previous research, three main approaches to IMS have been identified: systematic, non-systematic and relationship. The research was assessed through a qualitative design, using semi- structured interviews with five representatives from different companies. The results demonstrates the importance of maintaining and creating relationships for the IMS-process. Combining previous research, insights from practitioners and empirical findings, a size and industry specific IMS- model was developed named the Boarding Step Model.
