This diploma thesis is focused on corporate information systems. It contains an analysis of current status of the information system in company, which uses e-commerce as its main scope of business. There is a proposed solution based on the analysis, which should contribute to an improvement of the information system itself. The proposed solution includes schedule and price calculation of the project as well.

This master’s thesis contents the description and analysis of an information system of company which provides consumer and cash loans. The information system is a key component for that company. On the basis of analysis possible changes will be proposed. These changes should lead to increase in efficiency of the information system and in profit production as well as decrease of costs and risks connected to development and implementation of higher versions of system.

This thesis focuses on the analysis of current information system of the selected points to its possible shortcomings and errors. Information obtained from the analyzes will lead to appropriate solutions to problems. The aim of the current system is customized to meet the needs of its users, so that the information system should be flexible, intuitive and clear

Thesis "Economics and Information" advances a consistent theoretic concept of information as part of economic theory. In contrast of contemporary semantic confusions about information in economics this thesis tries to build a meaningful theory based on classical economic studies and conception of information in system theory. The first part is concerned with methodological foundation and contemporary methodological problems of information in economic theory. These issues are crucial for presenting methodological individualism and subjectivism as fundamental approach to understanding role of information in social sciences. This leads to human action as basic framework for studying information. Next part of the thesis describes few basic approaches to information in economics. In comparison with neoclassical views like information asymmetry this thesis propose own praxeology based concept of information. This concept shows information in its duality as a resource of human activities, but also as objective of human action. This duality as resource and objective connect information to concepts of interpretation, knowledge and dynamic processes. The final part of the thesis applies theoretical concepts to economic policy issues and institutional problems.

The main theme of the thesis is the application of methods of information and knowledge-based disciplines - Competitive Intelligence on the building industry of the Czech Republic. The first part provides a comprehensive overview of theoretical information which are necessary to describe Competitive Intelligence. From the outset, it gradually forms detailed description about the entire field as far as detailed procedures with the application of various analytical methods, in the form of formalized definitions of Competitive Intelligence. The most common methods which are listed below in particular are SLEPT analysis, SWOT analysis, an analysis of five porter forces, BCG matrix, and others. The practical part of work is an application of process and methods of Competitive Intelligence on the Czech building market. This part gradually specifies individual steps of analysis (definition of objectives, procedures, identification and exploitation of information resources, etc.) and presents its final output, which is suitably complemented with a description of information resources. Chapter concludes the summary of the main trends and factors involved in the building industry, which complements the recommendations for the building companies to increase their competitiveness. There is also important summary and characteristics of selected information sources.

The aim of the thesis is to describe selected consequences of informatization on the basis of three different views' critical synthesis. First view is an historical perspective focused on medialisation of information and its influence on shaping of man's thinking. On the background of technological progress are shown the milestones in changing of social reality. Another view is to describe the infromation society as a present phenomenon with its general characteristics. The last point of view is based on the hypothesis sof Global brain, which describes mankind as a network of nerve cells, connected to global computer network. Thesis is not intended to be a comprehesive overview of the informatization's consequences but it tries to explain basic issues related to information society.

This diploma work looks into the problematics of in-company communication within medium sized company. The main goal of my diploma work to analysis and evaluate current state of in-company communication and to suggest possible improvement of weaknesses in chosen company using the analysis of available material. The theoretical part of diploma work first defined and set the term of communication within communication specification. These chapters were enlarged by communication tools which can be used in individual companies. The practical part of diploma work is based on these aspects. The practical part contains process analysis which helped to analyse internal communication. Furthermore, it includes the analysis of in-company communications base on questionnaire research using questionnaire information from directed interviews with company managers. Based on the analysis results, a set of specific measures with the goal of in-company communication improvement was suggested to the company.

The target of this thesis is to design a website which enables its visitors a slightly different approach when searching information about the selected countries, compared to websites of similar orientation. The main asset of the website would be to allow the selection of thematic information (transport, culture, food, trade, etc.), giving the user a clue in the search for the countries where he would like to travel to. (or just find some interesting information about them) It should be also possible to filter and sort the available information accordingly by prearranged criteria, which should allow the visitor to get slightly different perspective over the issue. One of the main features is the contribution of users themselves to co-create the website, for which the registration system will be adapted to. The system will distinguish several levels of users with different permissions to access various sections of the website and to manage its content. It should be possible to edit the data through the web interface, which should provide sufficient variability for a complete content management. The website solution should be created for the users as intuitively as possible without any unnecessary barriers that would prevent users from comfortable and effective use of the website.

This thesis focuses on the e-Government, especially on the justice and law. The main objective is to create a methodology for measuring the success of two actual "in progress" projects -- electronic collection of Laws and electronic legislation. The strategic e Government documents create background of the thesis. The analysis and evaluation of projects' statuses are made with using the annual reports. Both projects are described and related to the legal system of CZ and commercial legal ICT systems. The final part of the thesis presents a design of methodology, created on the base of obtained knowledge.

The work deals with the relationship of the relational model and XML schema document and its technological and pragmatic aspects. It defines the theoretical field of data modeling at conceptual level and the two mentioned possible implementation models at the physical level. The aim is to answer the question when in the design and development of application or system it is appropriate to proceed with one of these models. Furthermore, this work also provides a general procedure for mapping conceptual schema into XML schema structures and solutions to problems that can come across during the mapping process. The problem is solved by analyzing two real issues - timetables of public transportation and the information system of a swimming school, formalized through a mechanism of predicate logic. Unlike most works on a similar topic this one varies in a pragmatic view on the problem - the concept of data, their origin, their target user and structuring.
