Estrategias de surtido amplio y profundo de productos en relación con la intención de compra en los nuevos fast retailers asiáticos entre los jóvenes de 18 a 30 años de Lima Metropolitana / Wide and deep product assortment strategies in relation to the intention to buy in the new Asian fast retailers among young people between 18 and 30 years of age in Metropolitan Lima

Jara Iriarte, Jimena Margarita 06 July 2020 (has links)
Actually Peru, the retail sector has grown considerably since 2016 and they have positioned themselves for their different models and innovative formats that meet the different demands of the consumer. In the last months of 2019, Asian stores or better known to the public as Asian fast retail, which were characterized by being present in the main shopping centers of the capital, for their store design and for offering a wide product assortment, within this more than 10 product categories were offered such as technology, food, stationery, beauty, among others. For this reason, the assortment may mean one of the main variables that influences the consumer in the purchase intention, in this way, that Asian fast retailers focus on knowing what are the factors that influence the purchase and, depending on it, be able to establish actions that persuade and intervene in that of consumers. The objective of this research work is to determine whether the wide and deep assortment presented by Asian fast retailers is related to the intention to buy among young people between 18 and 30 years of age in Metropolitan Lima. The primary audience for the research is made up of men and women from 18 to 30 years of age from Metropolitan Lima. The study presents a mixed approach because it is a qualitative and quantitative study in which 211 surveys were conducted. As for the qualitative focus group with the primary public and interviews with experts, the general result of the analysis was that the assortment did mean for They are an important factor that characterizes Asian fast retail, however, it is not decisive since what caught the attention was the style of the store and because they were new to the market. On the other hand, the quantitative analysis was performed where the study methodology was correlational in which the multiple linear regression model was used; The result obtained from the research work is that the assortment variable is not related to the purchase intention, so it is recommended to analyze other variables such as the intrinsic and extrinsic factors of the consumers, since the stores are probably the new one. fashion, curiosity or knowing something new has been related to the purchase intention. / Tesis

Organizational Justice, Moral Ideology, and Moral Evaluation as Antecedents of Moral Intent

Johnson, Jennie Susan 08 May 2007 (has links)
The present research in ethical decision-making draws from the fields of moral philosophy, social psychology, and organizational theory with the intention of establishing links among social/organizational influences, individual cognitive elements of moral behavior, individual difference characteristics, and the intention to act ethically. Ethical decision-making, by investigating the moral judgment (evaluation) and moral intent components of an ethical decision-making model, was examined. This augments existing research concerning inconsistencies between the ethical behavior of an individual and the individual's level of moral development, which in the workplace are hypothesized to be related to organizational factors. Research questions developed from this groundwork, as well as research on moral ideology and organizational justice, were formulated to examine how moral ideology, moral evaluation, and organizational justice work together to explain moral intent. Moral evaluation explained 55% of the variance in moral intent after controlling for moral ideology and organizational justice. For a subset of the data, three organizational justice variables explained a very modest proportion of the variance in moral evaluation after controlling for two moral ideology variables. Implications for future research and considerations for practice are presented. / Ph. D.

Intensive Care Unit Nurses' Perceived Empowerment, Caring, Job Satisfaction, and Intent to Leave or Intent to Stay within Central Canadian Hospitals

Jacoby, Amanda 19 September 2016 (has links)
Intensive care unit nursing shortages are an ongoing issue within the Canadian healthcare system. The goal of this thesis research was to better understand Manitoban intensive care unit (ICU) nurses’ intent to leave or stay. An adapted version of the Conceptual Framework for Predicting Nurse Retention provided the framework to examine ICU nurses’ perceived empowerment, caring, job satisfaction and intent to leave or stay. An online survey was distributed by the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba to 630 ICU nurses in Manitoba. Ethical approval was obtained from the Education Nursing Research Ethics Board at the University of Manitoba. Findings indicate the majority of ICU nurses who participated in this research were satisfied with their job. Multivariate analyses indicated that job satisfaction was statistically significantly associated with intent to stay. / October 2016

O Percurso do Conceito de Fim de AnÃlise de Freud a Lacan / The Path Of The Concept Of End Of Analysis to Freud from Lacan

Ana Carolina Borges LeÃo Martins 12 April 2010 (has links)
Our research aims at following the formulations for the concept of end of analysis beginning with Freud, going through the post-Freudians, and reaching the teaching contributions from Lacan. To this end we divided our path methodologically in three distinct segments: 1. the pathway for defining the concept of end of analysis as propounded by Freud; 2. the investigation of the concept of cure and end of analysis in the theoretical productions of Freudâs contemporaries and post-Freudians; 3. the reassessment of therapeutic perspectives and the concept of end of analysis as contributed by Jacques Lacan. In the first moment, we were shown how the inception of the concept of death drive in 1920 contributed to the final break-up between end of analysis and therapeutic intents. We were also able to discuss treatment guidelines as propounded by Freud, the hurdles impeding the cure and the adoption of end of analysis, and the technical proposition for analysis construction, an artificial solution advanced by Freud to counter the difficulties with analytical treatment. In the second part, we investigated solutions as propounded by post-Freudian analysts to the problem of the economics of compulsion. We set out from the hypothesis according to which the analytical movement did not accept easily the contributions from the concept of death drive, rather opting for interpreting them as a lessening of therapeutic results. Within this view, two obstacles impeded the analytical treatment turning it into a never-ending task: in 1930, character was an obstacle to cure because of its close relation to the obscure ways of drive satisfaction; in 1950, the analystâs self blurred the good development of transference, appearing as an inconvenient waste from the end sought by didactical and therapeutic analyses. In the last part of our work, the constitution of topic in its imaginary configuration, having its source on Lacanâs contributions, conferred intelligibility to the standstill reached by post-Freudian analysts. Under the aegis of a configuration shaped by imaginary values we demonstrated the disastrous results from the attempt to elide the unconscious discourse from the analytical treatment, and we pointed to a Lacanian proposal of resuming field references for speech and language. At the end of our pathway, we accompanied Lacanâs critical appraisal of the model for IPA formation and his solution to the problem, namely, the pass procedure to deal with the limits of analytical formation and end of analysis. As a conclusion, we could evaluate how our work throws a light upon issues referring to the analystâs formation and how it contributes to psychoanalysis transmission.

A comparative legal study of preliminary agreements under French and American Law / / Preliminary agreements under French and American law

Pierrot, Claudia. January 2000 (has links)
This thesis is a comparative legal study of preliminary agreements in French and American law. / At the negotiation process, a preliminary agreement has numerous purposes. Those purposes vary with the parties' will. The contrasted concept of preliminary agreement and its hybrid legal nature give rise to legal issues, such as interpretation, enforceability and liability. Those issues are differently tackled in French and American law. / The ambiguity of pre-agreements allows the French and American judges to play a decisive role in the interpretation of such agreements. In accordance with its definiteness and completeness, the pre-agreement may be considered as the final contract and binds the parties. Then, in case of non respect, the blameworthy party may be held liable, and courts may grant damages to the party who has suffered prejudice.

Part-time Nurse Faculty Intent to Remain Employed in the Academic Organization

Ferron, Era Mae 09 January 2014 (has links)
Part-time nurse faculty play an important role in the production and quality of the nursing workforce. However, the shortage of nurse faculty exacerbates current shortages of nurses. In Canada, the shortage is predicted to reach 60,000 full-time equivalent RNs by 2022. Therefore, retaining qualified part-time nurse faculty in academia is a key component in managing the shortage problem. The purpose of this study was to test and refine a model of part-time nurse faculty intent to remain employed in the academic organization. Cross-sectional survey methods were employed. A total of 282 part-time nurse faculty employed within Ontario, Canada colleges or universities were invited to participate. Survey instruments and items measured demographic, workplace, nurse responses to the workplace, and external variables. Correlation and multiple regression analyses were conducted using data from 119 participants (47.6% true response rate). Of the 19 variables hypothesized to affect intent to remain employed in the academic organization, seven influenced intent to remain. The resulting model indicated that the older the part-time nurse faculty member, the lower the level of intent to remain and the more years worked in the organization, the higher the level of intent to remain. The more opportunities perceived to exist outside of the employing organization, the higher the level of intent to remain. Additionally, the more satisfied part-time nurse faculty were with their job overall, the higher their level of intent to remain. In the workplace, the more support from the leader, the more formal or informal recognition received, and the more fair work procedures were perceived to be, the higher levels of part-time nurse faculty intent to remain employed in the academic organization, mediated by job satisfaction. Although age, organizational tenure, and external career opportunities are non-modifiable variables, deans and directors can encourage part-time nurse faculty to remain employed in their academic job by focusing on enhancing overall job satisfaction. Effective strategies may include formal or informal acknowledgement of good performance, consistent verbal and behavioural support, and implementation of procedural practices, such as performance evaluations and pay raises in a fair manner.

The Neighbourly Node : effects of municipal third party involvement on SME networking

Smedley, Lisa January 2014 (has links)
Networking has shown to benefit SMEs in terms of increasing resource acquisition and knowledge transfer, two vital components in SME growth and survival. However, previous research has indicated that SME network management is largely determined by the strategic orientation of the firm, which in turn, is influenced by the owner/manager. Third party involvement has moreover been suggested to positively influence networking participation by facilitating the overall networking process for SMEs. In the present study, the moderating effect of non-profit, municipal third party involvement, on the relationship between firm growth orientation and network intensity and range, is thus examined.

Towards Intent-Driven Systems

Silvander, Johan January 2017 (has links)
Context: Software supporting an enterprise’s business, also known as a business support system, needs to support the correlation of activities between actors as well as influence the activities based on knowledge about the value networks in which the enterprise acts. This can be supported with the help of intent-driven systems. The aim of intent-driven systems is to capture stakeholders’ intents and transform these into a form that enables computer processing of them. Only then are different machine actors able to negotiate with each other on behalf of their respective stakeholders and their intents, and suggest a mutually beneficial agreement. Objective: When building a business support system it is critical to separate the business model of the business support system itself from the business models used by the enterprise which is using the business support system. The core idea of intent-driven systems is the possibility to change behavior of the system itself, based on stakeholder intents. This requires a separation of concerns between the parts of the system used to execute the stakeholder business, and the parts which are used to design the business based on stakeholder intents. The business studio is a software that supports the realization of business models used by the enterprise by configuring the capabilities provided by the business support system. The aim is to find out how we can support the design of a business studio which is based on intent-driven systems. Method: We are using the design science framework as our research frame- work. During our design science study we have used the following research methods: systematic literature review, case study, quasi experiment, and action research. Results: We have produced two design artifacts as a start to be able to support the design of a business studio. These artifacts are the models and quasi-experiment in Chapter 3, and the action research in Chapter 4. The models found during the case study have proved to be a valuable artifact for the stakeholder. The results from the quasi-experiment and the action research are seen as new problem solving knowledge by the stakeholder. Conclusion: The synthesis shows a need for further research regarding semantic interchange of information, actor interaction in intent-driven systems, and the governance of intent-driven systems. / Professional Licentiate of Engineering Research School

The Effect of Celebrity Endorsements on Gift-Giving Purchases: An Application of the Elaboration Likelihood Model

Anghel, Christine 07 July 2009 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to determine how effective celebrity endorsements are in regards to the type of gift purchase one decides to make (i.e., buying for someone who has a high significant meaning to the buyer, such as a best friend, versus buying for someone who has a low significant meaning to the buyer, such as a casual friend). The study seeks to extend upon the anthropology research exploring gift-giving and marketing research exploring celebrity endorsements by applying the tenants of the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM). This study uses an experimental procedure in order to determine the effect of using celebrity endorsements on buyers' attitudes and purchase intentions for gift-giving purchases in low and high involving categories. Results indicate that celebrity endorsements have no influence on attitudes and purchase intention in different product involvement and gift giver-receiver conditions.
