Antonio, Raffael January 2020 (has links)
Author: Raffael Antonio Title: The politics are a joke - a qualitative interview analysis about the view of media consuments on memes and Greta Thunberg.   The purpose of this study is to look closely at the media consumers and their views on political memes and how other consumers and producers on social media are producing Greta Thunberg as a political figure by the help of memes.    The analysis has been done by qualitative semi-structured interviews with people as regular social media consumers. This was made by an interview guide with semi-structured questions about political memes, politics on social media and how Greta Thunberg is produced by meme creators according to the consumers.    The results have shown that there are two groups when it comes to Greta Thunberg on social media; the ones who are disliking her and the ones who stand up for her. These groups are based on opinions, political views and different generations which are also seen among the meme creators and what type of memes they made. Those who are disliking Thunberg, do it for different main reasons, such as age, origin of family and political beliefs.    Memes also matter in this study because of its format in picture and text, which give consumers an idea of the meme creator and its beliefs. Results also show that the behaviour of memes reflect society on different levels, political beliefs as an primary example.

Časopis Revolver Revue jako společenský fenomén a jeho vývoj / Revolver Revue: A Study of the Periodical as a Social Phenomenon Through it's Development

Geisler, Michal January 2012 (has links)
Revolver Revue is a cultural periodical magazine founded in 1985. Initially, as a product of Czech underground subculture, of the former communist Czechoslovakia, Revolver Revue was deemed to be illegal samizdat material. After the transformation of the social and political environment in Czechoslovakia, Revolver Revue became a legal publication, and continues to be published today, in the Czech Republic. The following work is a study of Revolver Revue as a social phenomenon in which the author works towards capturing its main defining features and its developments over time, including it's noteworthy changes as well as the continuity which the organization has seen. Also focused upon are the specific social groups related to Revolver Revue, the specific institutions and the interaction of important actors involved, all perceived through a political and historical context. This work is centred around qualitative empirical research based on analyses of interviews and on the study of related documents. The approach taken to this study was heavily influenced by Grounded Theory.

Wester, Petra January 2017 (has links)
This study has been conducted with an aim to examine how employees working at B2B companies in Umeå understand, and describe the ever changing strategy of content marketing whilst at the same time analysing how said companies utilise the strategy on their own websites. Another aim of this study is to determine whether content marketing is used differently depending on the companies size and reach. The study was conducted by means of interviews and content analysis, using semiotics as a method. The result showed that despite each company understanding and using the term content marketing they differed slightly when describing its meaning, and implementation.
