Latentní kriminalita / Latent criminality

Mikysková, Aneta January 2021 (has links)
1 Latent criminality Abstract This submitted diploma thesis deals with the phenomenon of latent criminality. Latent criminality is the part of criminality that is for some reason not registered by the law enforcement authorities. The thesis itself consists of four consecutive chapters. The first chapter deals with the concept of crime. It discusses the different approaches to concept of crime in criminology and the indicators that are used to describe it. Furthermore, this chapter is dedicated to the division of crime into latent and registered crime and the sources of information about registered crime. In particular, it focuses on official crime statistics. In the second chapter, the issue of latent crime is discussed in more detail. It defines the concept of latency, in which cases it is considered being latent criminality and what its types are. Furthermore, the ratio of latent and registered crime, the rate and extent of latency are described. At the end the possible causes of its existence are presented, one of the main reasons being the failure to report the crime by its victims. The third chapter focuses on possible methods of detecting latent crime, where more space is subsequently devoted to the two most important methods, namely victimization surveys and self- report studies. For both of these...

Kriminologické aspekty kybernetické kriminality / Criminological aspects of cybercrime

Kopáč, Jan January 2021 (has links)
Today, the phenomenon of cybercrime can no longer be considered something obscured or unknown to the general public. Yet the majority of general population is aware of only a fraction of the offenses committed in cyberspace. As a result, a substantial proportion of Internet users act in violation of valid legislation in cyberspace, whether they do so knowingly or not. Cybercrime cannot be considered less dangerous than other forms of crime. On the contrary, due to its availability, globality and possible distance of the offender from the crime itself, this kind of criminal behaviour is on the rise year by year and its effects are becoming more severe, mainly due to the dependence of today's society on information and communication technologies. The aim of this thesis is to provide an introduction to the cybernetic world crime and offer a general view of the various aspects of this criminal activity. The introduction of my thesis deals with detailed description of the basic terminology present throughout the whole thesis and contains a brief description of the history and origins of the computer and Internet. An essential part of my thesis is the presentation of the legislative framework in the field of cybercrime regulation. This section mentions the laws that apply in the cyberspace environment...

Valentová, Barbora January 2021 (has links)
Violent crime and its prevention Abstract Violent crime has been a part of our society since its inception. Nevertheless, just like our society, it keeps changing and evolving and for that reason its research remains relevant. As violent crime raises serious concerns for one's safety, the police, the media and the public pay close attention to it. The topic of violent crime is very extensive and it is difficult to grasp within the limited scope of the diploma thesis. With regard to this fact, the aim of this diploma thesis is to provide in six chapters at least a basic overview not only of violent crime, but also its prevention. The first chapter explains the concepts related to violent crime, and the attached overview table also lists the crimes that are classified as a violent crime. The second chapter provides information, based on the analysis of data from police statistics, on the share of violent crime in the total crime numbers, the state of violent crime in individual regions and throughout the Czech Republic and the structure of violent crime in 2020. Latentní kriminalita / Latent Criminality

Tajovská, Martina January 2020 (has links)
The thesis deals with latent criminality as a dynamic criminality phenomenon. The first chapter is dedicated to the scientific discipline of criminology, which examines criminality as a whole, criminality itself and terms which define criminality, such as scope, level, structure and dynamic. The second chapter deals directly with latent criminality. It lists all that is included in latent criminality and its relation to registered criminality. The chapter describes the possible causes and brings closer all the methods for examining it. The most common of those are victimization method and self-reporting investigation. One of the main causes of crime latency is the victim's failure to report. The third chapter is therefore dedicated to crime victims. It lists the differences between a victim and an injured party and describes the relation between victim and perpetrator. This chapter also ties to the victim's consent with prosecution, which can be influenced by the aforementioned relation to the perpetrator. In the fourth chapter, criminality is divided into individual types. Apart from definitions of the different criminality types, such as property offences, violent, moral and economic criminality, the thesis here details the statistical indicators of these criminality types (number of crimes...

Problematika osobnosti pachatele v kriminologii / The Issue of an Offender's Personality in Criminology

Poučenská, Dominika January 2019 (has links)
The Issue of an Offender's Personality in Criminology Abstract The aim of this master's thesis was to describe the issue of the offender's personality in criminology. The first part of the thesis deals with the definition of basic terms, criminological theories and the offender's personality from the perspective of general knowledge, and then from the perspective of forensic psychology. The second part deals with the issue of economic crimes, mainly defines the concept of economic crime, describes the Czech legal regulation of economic crimes, deals with the causes, prevention and specific characteristics of the economic crime offenders. In the third part of the thesis, I try to apply my acquired knowledge to a specific case of the economic crime offender. Since the offender's personality has a significant role to play in clarifying the causes of crime, many criminological theories have emerged over the course of history to clarify what causes criminal behavior. These theories focus on biological, psychological, sociological factors, etc. Each individual has a personality which is unique. Some elements of our personality can't be affected, e.g. temperament, other are created and changed during the course of our lives, e.g. elements that determine our character. The motivation behind every offense also plays...

Kriminologické aspekty korupce / Criminological aspects of corruption

Skopalíková, Veronika January 2019 (has links)
Criminological aspects of corruption Abstract This master thesis focuses on several selected criminological aspects of corruption, aiming to explore them from the criminological point of view. This master thesis, however, does not necessarily aim to provide practical solutions for control of corruption. The first part is focused on the criminology as a science, since it is the basis of this master thesis. The main topics of this part are the crimonology as a term, its subject and its brief history. Next, the attention is pointed towards definition of the term of corruption, given its disunited approaches to its definition, and compares the numerous takes on the definition from the literature and various institutions. The master thesis also brings forward various types and kinds of corruption, including petty corruption, grand corruption or state capture, as well as distinguishing between the types of corruption based on various factors. Given that the corruption may manifest in multiple forms or degrees of institutionalization, variants and syndromes of corruption according to Johnston are not omitted. Corruption is an important social phenomenon causing far-reaching consequences that may, however, not necessarily be easily seen, or they may even be overlooked. In order to understand this pathological...
