Val och kompensation : En studie av lärares arbetssätt med materialet ABC-klubben / Choices and compensation : - a study of the way teachers work with the material ABC-klubben

Ståhl, Elin January 2015 (has links)
This study, based on the socio-cultural theory of the book as a mediating tool, examines how four teachers say they work with the reader ABC-klubben. This is done with a focus on how they reason about choosing the level of readers for the pupils and about what compensation, if any, they make for pupils who read the simpler book and therefore miss the more difficult words and expressions. The result shows that all the teachers say that they take the pupils’ motivation for and pleasure in reading as an important ground for the decision as to which reader a pupil should use, and that this decision is taken with a focus on the individual. When it comes to compensation for the pupils who read the simpler book, the teachers do not describe consistently focused work on this, but they describe a similar way of working whereby they nevertheless acquaint these pupils with the more difficult book and the harder words and expressions. The conclusion of the study is that the teachers use many different methods to determine a pupil’s reading ability and hence which book is reasonable for the pupil to read, and one of the methods described is based on reading tests. Other methods are based on experience and the teachers’ own ability.

The Interchange of (Meta)Models between MetaEdit+ and Eclipse EMF Using M3-Level-Based Bridges

Kern, Heiko 05 February 2019 (has links)
Nowadays there are powerful tools for Domain-Specific Modeling. An ongoing problem is the insuffcient tool interoperability which complicates the development of complete tool chains or the re-use of existing metamodels, models, and model operations. In this paper we present the approach of M3-Level-Based Bridges and apply this approach to enable the interoperability between two selected tools. The first tool is MetaEdit+ with strengths in (meta)modeling and the second tool is the Eclipse Modeling Framework with advantages in model processing by transformation and generation tools.

Nivåbaserat läromedel för läsinlärning : En läsbarhetsanalys av Den magiska kulan / Level-based teaching material for learning to read : A readability analysis of Den magiska kulan

Jonesjö, Sofia, Fäste, Sandra January 2015 (has links)
The aim of the study is to examine a book used as level-based teaching material, Den magiska kulan (Wänblad, 2011), to analyse the progression within and between the different levels, A, B and C, intended for use in grade 1. The material is designed so that pupils at different levels in their reading development can share the same literature. Another aim is to study the connection between illustrations and text. This literature study is based on both a qualitative and a quantitative method of analysis. The qualitative method applies a readability analysis with the focus on the graphic form and the language of the text. The quantitative method measures the LIX (readability index) of the texts. The result of the study shows that all the levels are suitable for grade 1 since their degree of difficulty is adapted and they have a smooth progression, as well as illustrations which are closely linked to the text. Although these readers are made for this grade, it is important that teachers scrutinize the material used in teaching.

ABC-klubbens likvärdighetsfaktor –En kvalitativ undersökning i hur ett nivåanpassat material för årskurs två kan användas medfokus på en likvärdig undervisning

Detlofsson, Rasmus January 2020 (has links)
This study examines how a reader in the Swedish subject can be used in the younger ages ofSwedish schools to meet the requirements of equal education in Sweden. The reader is a partof a teaching material called the ABC-klubben and is based on the same story but available inthree different levels of textbooks. The Study analyses how the different books differ between each other and how the techingmaterial can be used in its whole to increase the equal education. The study shows that in itswhole and if the material are used to create a shared reading experience between everyone inclass, it do contribute to equal education for students. The material has some difficulties andthe teacher needs to be aware he or she may need to compensate for some parts of thematerial.
