Beteendesyndrom hos blankål (Anguilla anguilla): aktivitet och respons på främmande objekt i en artificiell miljö / Behavioural syndromes in silver eel (Anguilla anguilla): activity and response to novel objects in an artificial environment

Ingelman Åslund, Trollet January 2020 (has links)
Increased knowledge of behavioural syndromes may contribute to enhancing our conservation methods for endangered species. In this study, the behavior of 108 silver eels (Anguilla anguilla) was assessed in two assays: an open-field test and a novel-object test. Eel morphology and diel activity as well as diet and habitat use have previously been shown to correlate with each other. In this study, I investigated the potential relationship between the morphology, activity and response to a novel object. The most active eels during the open-field test were also the ones that expressed the most interest for the novel object. There was, however, no correlation between morphology and activity or morphology and response to the novel object. This means an exploring and bold behaviour syndrome was discovered amongst some of the eels, whilst the underlying cause remains unknown.

Codage multi-vues multi-profondeur pour de nouveaux services multimédia / Multiview video plus depth coding for new multimedia services

Mora, Elie-Gabriel 04 February 2014 (has links)
This PhD. thesis deals with improving the coding efficiency in 3D-HEVC. We propose both constrained approaches aimed towards standardization, and also more innovative approaches based on optical flow. In the constrained approaches category, we first propose a method that predicts the depth Intra modes using the ones of the texture. The inheritance is driven by a criterion measuring how much the two are expected to match. Second, we propose two simple ways to improve inter-view motion prediction in 3D-HEVC. The first adds an inter-view disparity vector candidate in the Merge list and the second modifies the derivation process of this disparity vector. Third, an inter-component tool is proposed where the link between the texture and depth quadtree structures is exploited to save both runtime and bits through a joint coding of the quadtrees. In the more innovative approaches category, we propose two methods that are based on a dense motion vector field estimation using optical flow. The first computes such a field on a reconstructed base view. It is then warped at the level of a dependent view where it is inserted as a dense candidate in the Merge list of prediction units in that view. The second method improves the view synthesis process: four fields are computed at the level of the left and right reference views using a past and a future temporal reference. These are then warped at the level of the synthesized view and corrected using an epipolar constraint. The four corresponding predictions are then blended together. Both methods bring significant coding gains which confirm the potential of such innovative solutions.

Simulace chování sítě na základě analýzy konfiguračních souborů aktivních síťových zařízení / Simulation of Network Behaviour Based on Analysis of Configuration of Active Network Devices

Macků, Jiří January 2008 (has links)
This masters thesis describes simulation of network using Network Simulator. Model of network and description of simulation is extracted from the analysis of configuration files of active network devices, and translated by a parser. Concept and implementation of the parser is described here. Because IPv4 addressing is not supported in Network Simulator, it was added as a new module. The Network Simulator is also extended by filtering properties of packets using access control lists. Practical usage of the implemented modules is demonstrated on a simulation of real network.

Systém pro podporu výuky dynamických datových struktur / System for Support of Dynamic Data Structures Learning

Trávníček, Jiří Unknown Date (has links)
The main objective of this work is to design and implement an application that can be used as an aid for the education of programming essentials. Particularly, the attention focuses on the domain of dynamic data structures. The target application will be implemented with the use of web technologies so that it can be run in an ordinary WWW browser. First of all, a brief introduction recapitulates the data structures to be covered. Then the work summarizes the usable technologies available within the web browsers with the focus on the particular technology (which is DHTML) that will become the target platform. The most significant part of this work then discusses the design of the final application. This rather theoretical part is then followed by the description of the practical implementation. A short user manual is also included.

Zhudebněná poezie J.V.Sládka s bibliografií skladeb / J.V.Sládek poems set to music supplemented with a bibliography of pieces

Tůmová, Romana January 2021 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the topic of setting the poems of Josef Václav Sládek to music. The main source of the analyzed data is a bibliographic list of compositions, which was compiled after my own research in the databases and catalogues of the National Library of Czech Republic, the Municipal Library in Prague and Czech Museum of Music, as well as in specialised literature. The first chapter briefly summarizes the general principles of setting poetry to music and then it focuses on particular aspects of Sládek's poetics, which encourage composers to set his poems to music. The first chapter also outlines Sládek's poetics in different poetry collections. The second chapter gives a detailed analysis of the compiled bibliographic list of compositions in terms of the frequency in which particular poems have been set to music, the number of works composed by different authors, vocal and instrumental cast, and also time contexts. The third, and the most comprehensive chapter, is divided in accordance with the proposed semantically significant thematic areas of Sládek's poetic work - love poetry, poetry for children, peasantism and folk echo poetry and militantpatriotism. In the subchapters, Sládek's work is at first viewed through a literary prism, then the author attempts a musical analysis and...
