Estudo integrado do Granito Corre-Mar, SC. geologia estrutural, petrologia, geocronologia e geoquímica isotópica

Martini, Amós January 2014 (has links)
The Neoproterozoic post-collisional stage in south Brazil is marked by intense granitic magmatism controlled by transcurrent shear zones all related to the Southern Brazilian Shear Belt (SBSB). The SBSB controls the ascent and emplacement of crustal and mantle magmas. In such scenario, the Corre-mar Granite (CMG), represent a small intrusion emplaced in a low strain zone located between two important segments of the SBSB: the Major Gercino and Itajaí-Perimbó Shear Zones. The CMG have a diagnostic subvertical foliation pair that form a sinistral S-C pair, present in all intrusions regardless of their size, and was emplaced within a conjugate system, where sinistral NNE shearing and NW-SE extension were both active, generating space along the NE direction. Solid state deformation associated to the NNE shearing is attested by microstructures as feldspar recrystallization and asymmetric recrystallization tails. The opening is attributed to the regional dextral transcurrent dynamics of the Major Gercino and Itajaí-Perimbó shear zones and magma emplacement was essentially conditioned by the NW extension component. The zircon U-Pb LA-MC-ICP-MS crystallization age of CMG at 615 ± 4 Ma, very close to other regional granites, as the 611 Ma Serra dos Macacos (SMG) and 620 Ma Rio Pequeno Granite (RPG) points these three granitic bodies as quite synchronous. The strong deformation features present in the CMG, as opposed to the other nearby Neoproterozoic granites (RPG and SMG) demonstrate that space, rather than time, must be called upon to explain the difference in the structural patterns identified in the CMG. Geochemical and Sr-Nd isotopic signatures, as slight peraluminous character, high-K contents, high LREE/HREE ratios, moderate Rb, Nb, Zr, and REE contents to regular SiO2, together with low 86Sr/87Sri and the strongly negative εNdt values indicate that the CMG is derived from old crustal sources possibly related to the Paleoproterozoic Camboriú Complex quartz-feldspatic orto-gneissic rocks. The match of the Archean to Paleoproterozoic inheritance ages of the CMG with the migmatization event ages identified in the Camboriú Complex and moreover the match of the crystallization ages of ~615-611 Ma of the crustalderived granites with the last migmatization event at 640-610 Ma reinforces the genetic link between them. The Paleoproterozoic TDM ages, the geochemical and isotopic signatures, the crystallization and inheritance ages resemblance of the CMG and the SMG attest that they represent comagmatic and contemporaneous granitic pulses with a genetic connection with the Neoproterozoic migmatization event in the Camboriu Complex.

A mathematical model of the aforementioned converter is investigated here. The proposed analysis is based on the tool named âPWM-Switch Modeling of DC-DC Convertersâ. The model must be found by a simple inspection of the converterâs circuit. It is possible to apply such model in order to realize various analyses such as steady-state, transient, and small-signal analysis in a single and same model. Considering the number of voltage multipliers cells (mc), two situations are analyzed: operation with a single multiplier cell (mc=1) and operation with multiple voltage multiplier cells (mc>1).The proposed method was validated through simulations and its effectiveness was verified. In addition to this, conventional average current mode control is also applied to one of the studied configurations. The performance of the converter and the effectiveness of the proposed controller are demonstrated by experimental results obtained from a 1-kW laboratory prototype.

Among these fruits, there is araçá-boi (Eugenia stipitata Mc Vaugh), a juicy fruit, with a high percentage of pulp, pleasant taste and aroma, attractive colors to process several products such as jams, jellies, dried fruit, ice cream, juice, yoghurt and liqueurs. It’s too important produces fermented alcoholic beverages of fruits because this activity reduces post harvest losses of perishable fruit, increasing the useful life and adding value of these products. Theoretically, any fruit that contains moisture, sugar and nutrient in ideal concentration for yeast may be used to produce fermented alcoholic beverages, which is defined as a beverage with an alcohol content of 4 to 14% by volume, 20 ° C, obtained from the fermentation of healthy fresh and ripe fruit. The fermentation of fruit juice produces ethanol as the main product and other secondary compounds that are glycerol, organic acids, higher alcohols, methanol, aldehydes and esters, responsible for the aroma and flavor beverage. The objective of this experiment was to produce and evaluate the fermented alcoholic beverage made from the araçá-boi (Eugenia stipitata Mc Vaugh), and commercial dry yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), Saf-instant brand. The araçá-boi must was analyzed for acidity, pH and reducing sugars, and then inoculated with 0.7% yeast. The fermentation was conducted for 11 days at 24 ° C and monitored daily, with the soluble solids content and temperature of the fermenting must. At the end of the process, the beverages were subjected to successive transfers, filtration, and finally filled into glass bottles and stored under refrigeration. The araçá-boi alcoholic beverage was analyzed for titratable acidity, pH, total sulfur dioxide, residual sugars and alcohol content. It was detected secondary compounds: aldehydes, esters, higher alcohols and methanol. The alcohol and residual reducing sugar content of the fermented beverage were respectively 12.76 and 20.8 ° GL g / L. The beverage tasting showed excellent acceptance by judges, with an average of 88.5% for aroma, flavor, color and overall appearance. The results of physical-chemical analysis showed that this beverage can be compared to a smooth table wine, according to Brazilian legislation.

Facilitating consumer involvement in design for additive manufacturing/3D printing products

Ariadi, Yudhi January 2016 (has links)
This research investigates the potential of the general public to actively design their own products and let consumers either manufacture by themselves or send the files to manufacturers to be produced. This approach anticipates the rapid growth of fabrication technology, particularly in Additive Manufacturing (AM)/3D printing. Recent developments in the field of AM/3D printing have led to renewed interest in how to manufacture customised products and in a way that will allow consumers to create bespoke products more easily. These technologies can enhance the understanding of non-technology compliant consumers and bring the manufacturing process closer to them. Consequently, to make AM/3D printing more accessible and easier to employ by the general public, design aspects need to be developed to be as simple to operate in the same manner as AM/3D printing technologies. These technologies will then attract consumers who want to produce Do-It-Yourself (DIY) products. This study suggests a Computer-aided Consumer Design (CaCODE) system as user- friendly design software to simplify the Computer Aided Design (CAD) stages that are required to produce 3D model data required by the AM/3D printing process. This software will be an easy-to-operate design system where consumers interact with parameters of designed forms easily instead of operating conventional CAD. In addition, this research investigates the current capabilities of AM/3D printing technologies in producing consumer products. To uncover the potential of consumer-led design and manufacturing, CaCODE has been developed for consumer evaluation, which is needed to measure the appropriateness of the tool. In addition, a range of consumer product samples as pens has been built using a range of different materials, AM/3D printing technologies and additional post-processing methods. This was undertaken to evaluate consumer acceptance of the AM/3D printed product based on products perceived quality. Forty non-designer participants, 50% male and 50% female, from 5 to 64 years old, 6-7 participants per ten-year age groups in 6 groups, were recruited. The results indicated that 75% of the participants would like to design their own product using consumer design software. The study compared how consumers interacted with the 3D model to manipulate the shape by using two methods: indirect manipulation (sliders) and direct manipulation (drag points). The majority of the participants would prefer to use the direct manipulation because they felt it was easy to use and enabled them to enjoy the design process. The study concluded that the direct manipulation was more acceptable because it enabled users to touch the digital product and manipulate it, making it more intuitive and natural. The research finds that there is a potential for consumers to design a product using user-friendly design tools. Using these findings, a consumer design tool concept was created for future development. The study indicated that 53% of participants would like to use products made by AM/3D printing although they still wanted the surface finish of injection moulded parts. However, the AM/3D printing has advantages that can fulfil the participants preference such as multi-materials from the material jetting method and it is proved that additional post-processing can increase participants acceptance level.

Development of a multi-collector inductively coupled plasma massspectrometry method for measurement of stable sulphur isotope ratios in aerosol sulphate

Rodiouchkina, Katerina January 2018 (has links)
Sulphur stable isotope ratios are useful tracers in geological and environmental studies. They can for example be used to trace the origin of atmospheric sulphate aerosols, because anthropogenic sulphate and natural sulphate have distinguishable δ34S-values (δ34S value of approximately +0 to +8 ‰ for anthropogenic and approximately +12 to +19 ‰ for natural). This is useful for climate modelling research, due to the net cooling effect of aerosol sulphate. In the present study a Nu Plasma II (Nu Instruments) multi collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (MC-ICP-MS) method for measuring stable sulphur isotope ratios in low sulphur content samples, such as sulphate aerosols, was developed. The method was then applied to a sulphate aerosol sample collected in the Maldives. Most of the measurements were performed at high resolution, due to the interferences on 33S. Heated spray chamber coupled to a desolvating membrane, Aridus II (Cetac), increased the sensitivity and reduced interferences notably compared to wet plasma mode. Aridus II gave more stable measurements than DSN-100 (Nu Instruments). Determinations of δ34S for IAEA S1, S3, and S4 were accurate and the determined δ34S-value of the CIT #39 seawater standard (21.05 ± 0.36 ‰, 2SD, n=42) was comparable with published data. In general, Si internal standardization correction increased precision ~2.5 times compared to non-corrected values. The δ34S-value for the sulphate aerosol sample was determined to 3.82 ±0.41 ‰ (2SD, n=40). Repeatability of ~62 nmol introduced sulphur (2 μg/mL) was generally 0.15 ‰ (2SD, n=5) for the SW and 0.19 ‰ (2SD, n=5) for the sulphate aerosol sample. Comparable results for the SW (20.61±0.09 ‰, 2SD, n=4) and sulphate aersosol sample (3.77 ± 0.08 ‰, 2SD, n=8) were obtained with the method applied to Neptune Plus (Thermo Fischer Scientific) MC-ICP-MS in a different laboratory. The determined aerosol sulphate δ34S-value indicated that the sampled sulphate aerosol originated from anthropogenic sources.

Posouzení vlastností heterogenních tupých svarů metodami svařování laserem a svazkem elektronů / Assessment of heterogeneous properties butt welds in laser welding and electron beam welding

Rozsypal, Oldřich January 2015 (has links)
The project was developed within the engineering degree in engineering technology, and is focused in welding together of two different materials. Welds will be done on a high strength steel Domex 420 MC and deep drawing steel DC01 using laser welding, and will be compared with the method of electron beam welding. Part of this project is a scientific research describing the basic physical principles of both methods, different types of lasers, welding material properties and inspection of welds. In the experimental part was carried tensile test, macroscopic and microscopic examination. Finally, work is to evaluate the individual tests.

En studie om hur vägräcken påverkar trafiksäkerheten / A study about the impact of road crash barriers on road security

Pettersson, Lina, Ben Youssef Hamzo, Nidal January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to survey the incline and height of crash barriers and how these two factors affect traffic security. The study also serves the purpose of bringing up problems in traffic security due to lack of space under crash barriers for installation of slide guards for motorcyclists. Research in the databases of the Swedish Transportation Administration (Trafikverket), Road and Transport Institute (VTI), the Associations of Swedish Motor Cyclists (föreningen Sveriges MotorCyklister), and Swedish Bridge and Crash Barrier Association (Sveriges Bro- och Vägräckesförening) has shown corresponding results with the Swedish standard SS EN-1317. The standard in use today, SS EN-1317, affects traffic security negatively due to the height of assemblage of the carrying beam in crash barriers being 450 millimeters. At the time of writing research is being conducted regarding slide guards on four different roads in Sweden with one located in Åkersberga, Stockholm.

Data-driven test case design of automatic test cases using Markov chains and a Markov chain Monte Carlo method / Datadriven testfallsdesign av automatiska testfall med Markovkedjor och en Markov chain Monte Carlo-metod

Lindahl, John, Persson, Douglas January 2021 (has links)
Large and complex software that is frequently changed leads to testing challenges. It is well established that the later a fault is detected in software development, the more it costs to fix. This thesis aims to research and develop a method of generating relevant and non-redundant test cases for a regression test suite, to catch bugs as early in the development process as possible. The research was executed at Axis Communications AB with their products and systems in mind. The approach utilizes user data to dynamically generate a Markov chain model and with a Markov chain Monte Carlo method, strengthen that model. The model generates test case proposals, detects test gaps, and identifies redundant test cases based on the user data and data from a test suite. The sampling in the Markov chain Monte Carlo method can be modified to bias the model for test coverage or relevancy. The model is generated generically and can therefore be implemented in other API-driven systems. The model was designed with scalability in mind and further implementations can be made to increase the complexity and further specialize the model for individual needs.
