The main task of this diploma thesis is a business valuation of publishing company Egmont s.r.o. in order to find the market value at the date 31. 12. 2009. The main used technique is the DCF Entity method. As an alternative appraisal way the method of comparable companies is used. Chapters contain the strategic analysis of the company, where the trend of the market and company's power of competition are described, follows with the financial analysis including the description of three main financial statements, calculation of financial ratios and bankruptcy evaluation models. The next chapter contains the value generators and financial statements plans. At the end of thesis the final valuation is made, using the selected parameters and the discount rate. The final appraisal could be utilised by a general public of investors.

This master thesis focuses on the proposal of the improvement of communication in a particular company -- company of the authorized vendor of Husqvarna products in Prešov. In the theoretical part of this master thesis the marketing communication is characterized as a part of a marketing mix. Furthermore, the singular forms of marketing communication and their specifications in this market area are described. In conclusion of the theoretical part the use and procedure of the SOSTAC method is explained. The main focus and goal of the practical part is the proposal for the optimalization of the present communication in the company. In the practical part of the master thesis, a personal on the field experiment was used. On the basis of this experiment due to the method of SOSTAC specific steps for the optimalization of the communication in this company were assembled.

The thesis is about the arrangement of the last known claim values into the run-off triangle. This diagram is used in non-life insurance, mainly in methods for calculating technical claims reserves. Individual methods will be described in detail and consecutively applied on real data. The real data are a set of data with long tail. We are differentiating between easier deterministic and stochastic methods, which are more demanding for calculation. The results will be compared by basic statistical parameter of the analyzed data and at the end the best method will be chosen for the data.

The master thesis Valuation of the company Kofola a.s. is divided into two main parts. The first part deals with the basic theoretical fundaments of business valuation. The basic terms of business valuation, purposes of valuation and its process is described within this part. The practical part aims to finding Kofola a.s. market value The strategic analysis, the financial analysis and the analysis of value generators which enabled the creation of financial plan contributed towards the finding of market value. The final income valuation is created by the DCF entity method.

Novel structures of insecticides with selective inhibition of mosquito acetylcholinesterase are subjects of research, with an intention to deal with this problem. The aim of this work was to test six newly prepared succinimide derivatives with insecticidal potential. The ability of these compounds to inhibit Anopheles gambiae mosquito (AgAChE) and human acetylcholinesterase (hAChE) was evaluated. Leading structures of these compounds were also tested to find relations between chemical structure and biological activity. The modified Ellman's method was used to obtain the half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) values for both enzymes. This work deals with techniques of time-domain analysis of interconnects. After a studying crucial issue of time-domain analysis of interconnects methods of modeling and simulation simple interconnects in electrotechnics are described. For transient effect analysis two elementary methods can be used: the state variable method and the FDTD (Finite - Difference Time - Domain) method. The FDTD method can be used to solve partial differential equations in time domain, for instance equations of transmission lines. The method is very effective and delivers satisfactory results in case of linear and non-linear lines with a single “live” conductor. The method can be easily programmed in Matlab.

This dissertation is going to ensure customer satisfaction of Mapal CZ s.r.o.. In order to establish their satisfaction various methods can be used. In this case a questionnaire method is used. The information gathered is evaluated, and based on the resulting outcome corrective measures are be taken.

The Six Sigma method is only used for the analyses of the procedures and not for an implementation it in the company.

This master´s thesis deals with the measurement of surface roughness on a roundness instrument Talyrond TR595S. The aim was to expand possibilities of measuring on this roundness instrument. The main benefit of this thesis is creation of the proposal for the roughness measurement components in a horizontal and vertical plane. Thesis also includes the procedure for measuring of the roughness of the circular components including calculation of measurement uncertainty.
