This master thesis describes impacts of economic crisis on migration in the European Union. It analyzes migration flows within the European Union and from the third countries in the time period between 2004 and 2008. The goal of this thesis is to either confirm or deny the hypothesis: the number of people migrating from the southern parts of Europe to the more economically developed central and northern parts of Europe has increased as a consequence of the financial crisis in 2008. The impact of financial crisis on the intra-European migration is analyzed with a migration potential applied on an example of two countries: Italy and Germany.

Zahraniční migrace v České republice a její specifické rysy / International migration in the Czech republic and its specific aspects

This thesis provides an overview of the development of international migration in the Czech Republic to determine the aspects affecting migration. The Czech Republic has become a destination country for many immigrants, not only from the European Union, but also from countries outside the European union. The main goal of this paper is to outline the development of migration movements in the Czech republic before 1989 and in the context of legislative and methodological changes that occurred after 1989. The paper also describes the changes in international migration movements between 2002 -- 2012 in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. These countries belong to the alliance called the Visegrad four. In recent years, they became a new place of migration flows, particularly from countries with less developed economies. The aim is to determine the evolution of selected indicators of migration to identify connections between the selected countries given to their common historical and legal aspects.

Dopady imigrace ze třetích zemí na pracovní trh Evropské unie / The impact of immigration from third countries on the European Union labour market

The latests events point out to the importance of migration and call for quick and effective reforms of various policies affecting this area. Migration and it's effects are therefore becoming subject of many studies in the recent years. The dissertation thesis looks for the impacts of immigration from third countries on the European Union labour market. It first establishes the theoretical possible impacts of imigration on host markets, afterwards it opens the discusison, whether the EU labour market can be truly perceived as a common, homogenous area. In it's second part the disertation thesis seeks the main features of work immigration in the EU, evaluates and compares the economic position of immigrants and domestic workers. The final chapter look for the impacts of immigration from third countries on unemployment rates and wages of domestic workers. The results of the author's calculations, as well as other similar studies, indicate that these impact are rather low.

The Master's thesis is focused on the migration of population within the Czech republic. The migration flows within each individual region are explored and compared with selected economic indicators of the regions. Regions of the Czech republic are chosen as the main units for analysis, complemented by research on individual counties. The analysis highlights key trends in spatial movement of the population in the recent years. Subsequently the analysis focused on, whether the population movement is associated with an economic attractiveness of given administrative unit. The hypothesis being whether the increase in economic indicators of an administrative unit is follow by an increase in migration inflows to that unit. This hypothesis was not confirmed in any of the analyzed regions; only a weak correlation was established.

This master s thesis deals with European migration crisis and the role of selected countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany. The thesis is divided into theoretical and analytical part. The theoretical part contains definitions of basic terms. For better orientation in this subject, it is crucial to distinguish between the terms migrant, refugee and spurious refugee. Another section is devoted to the theory of migration and asylum and migration policy. More extensive analytical part of the thesis is dedicated to possible causes of the current migration crisis and demographic structure of migrants. Furthermore a large part of the thesis is devoted to their level of education. In subsequent chapters the thesis deals with the impact of the migration crisis on economic and social aspects. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the current status of the migration crisis in the EU and to compare the approach of selected countries to this crisis. The comparison is included in the last chapter.

The diploma thesis is focused on the asylum policy of Germany after the reunification in early 1990s. Its aim is to analyse the development of the policy, defining of the main issues concerning the asylum nowadays and predict the possible future evolution. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first one concentrates on defining of the basic terms and asylum protection by international and European law, the second one describes the development after the Second World War until 1990s, which is necessary to include in order to analyse the further development after the reunification until today. The last chapter describes the current form of asylum policy in Germany, describes its challenges and predicts the possible development in the future.

The diploma thesis deals with the relation between the socialism of the 21st century as an ideology (or revolutionary theory) and human security concept applied on case of Venezuela, with regards to the regional context of Latin America. First, it presents both theoretical terms in deeper contexts; in case of Latin-American socialism deals with theoretical background in the work of Heinz Dieterich, advisor of Hugo Chávez and compares to the perspective of Russian professor Alexander Buzgalin, it also deals with regional perspective of indigenous socialism. In case of concept of human security, the thesis offers an insight into its genesis in United Nations, gives voice to some critical approaches and presents models that are further used. Both theoretical terms are applied in the analytical chapters of the thesis on case of the Bolivarian Republic. In case of socialism, the author analyses its impact on the 1999 constitution and deals with implementation on the example of communal councils; in case of human security concept, she choses three models that are tested to evaluate the current situation in the country. Diploma thesis deals with the topic of migration wave from Venezuela to Peru due to the Venezuelan crisis. The aim is to find out how Venezuelan migrants perceive current situation in Venezuela and what was the main reason for them to leave the country. Furthermore, how they perceive employment possibilities in Peru, Peruvian themselves and the diversity of both cultures. Finally, how much they feel accepted by the local people in Peru. The thesis is divided into the theoretical, analytical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the explanation and definition of the concepts of migration theory with selection and closer acquaintance with the push-pull theory of migration. The analytical part describes the facts leading to the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela, together with the current issues and the most important factors of the crisis. The topic of the food crisis, crime, inflation, and other factors related to the issue is described in more detail. Diploma thesis also focuses on the current situation in Peru, namely in Cusco and what influence the Venezuelan migration crisis has on this receiving state and region. The main subject of the thesis is a practical part, which is based on the method of semi-structured interviews with Venezuelan migrants living in the Peruvian city of Cusco.
