Nelegální práce / Illegal work

Kudláčová, Petra January 2020 (has links)
The thesis called Illegal work deals with illegal employment of foreigners in the Czech Republic, which is in most cases connected with trafficking in human beings for the purpose of forced labor. The first chapter is generally devoted to the definition of the concept of illegal work under Act No. 435/2004 Coll. on Employment and Act No. 262/2006 Coll. Labour Code. The second chapter brings the view of the employee, employer and the state on illegal work. The following third chapter focuses on the sectors in which illegal work occurs most often. The fourth chapter describes the working conditions of employees who are illegally employed and are exploited in every possible way, especially in terms of pay, working conditions or working hours. The fifth chapter contains factors that affect the exploitation of migrant workers and trafficking in human beings for the purpose of forced labor. The sixth chapter is devoted to the control bodies of the state administration, such as the State Labor Inspection Office, the Customs Office, the Labor Office and the Foreign Police. The seventh and last chapter of the theoretical part deals with possible ways of prevention in the field of illegal employment. The eighth chapter contains a practical part in which the quantitative method is used, while the technique of...

Úloha anillinu v růstovém kónu neuronů / The role of anillin in the growth cone of neurons

Tomášová, Štěpánka January 2020 (has links)
During embryonal development, axons of newly differentiated neurons need to properly interconnect and create a functional neuronal network. To achieve this, the cell requires a growth cone. The growth cone is a highly dynamic structure at the end of growing axons that serves both as the navigator and the propeller. Crosstalk between actin and microtubules is vital for proper axonal pathfinding. But the exact mechanism of this cooperation remains unknown. This diploma thesis investigates the possible role of a candidate scaffolding protein called anillin in this process. Anillin has been studied in two human cell lines. SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cell line was used for overexpression and siRNA knock-down experiments. Anillin overexpression led to perturbed neurite morphology and growth cone dynamics in SH-SY5Y cells, whereas cells with lower anillin expression had fewer neurites. Next, neurons differentiated from human iPSC (induced pluripotent stem cells) expressing endogenous fluorescently tagged anillin were studied. Local dynamic high concentration spots of anillin have been observed at the base of cell protrusions of differentiating neurons. These anillin flares appeared during cell migration, early neurite initiation, and in newly created growth cones. These results suggest that anillin plays a...

Uplatnění potenciálu vysokoškolsky vzdělaných zahraničních pracovníků na českém trhu práce / Utilization of Educational Attainment of Foreign Migrant Workers in the Czech Labour Market

Valenta, Ondřej January 2018 (has links)
This doctoral thesis addresses one of the most significant topics in contemporary research in international migration; that is the education-occupation mismatch of highly qualified foreign workers in the labour market of a host country. The thesis focuses on the situation in the Czech labour market in the time-period between 2009 and 2016. By the possibility to utilize a unique set of non-public, anonymized individual data on foreign employment this thesis provides a first thorough empirical evidence on the level of mismatch of skilled migrant workers in the Czech labour market, with a dominant focus on quantitative approach to the given issue. Results of the research reveal that the mismatch between the migrant employees' attained (tertiary) and required education at their job occupations on the Czech labour market does exist and it is encountered by 20-30 % of tertiary educated foreign workers; moreover, level of mismatch has been gradually increasing over the given time-period. The differences in the level of mismatch then fundamentally differ across particular citizenship groups. The resulting level of mismatch of highly skilled foreign workers in the Czech labour market seems to be driven predominantly by broader social and economic drivers. More specifically, these are particularly a limited...

Zrušení vízové povinnosti pro Ukrajinu a jeho dopad na Českou republiku / Cancelation of the visa duty for Ukraine and its impact on the Czech Republic

Vondráčková, Dominika January 2020 (has links)
The association agreement between EU and Ukraine includes visa liberalization, which brings concerns about the capability of absorbing the increasing migration of Ukrainian citizens in the Czech Republic. The theses aims at showing realistic state of affairs especially through statistics and interviews with members of crucial interest groups connected to migration process. The text is demonstrating that number of Ukrainians in the Czech Republic is significantly raising, but we cannot consider this raise as intractable. The increase directly connected with visa liberalization can be clearly demonstrated at the number of tourists. Looking at the number of asylum applications, growth was not noted which is considered as sign of well-managed liberalization of migration. Significant changes cannot be seen also in the statistics of illegal migration. Nevertheless, members of foreign police agree that they observe increase of illegal Ukrainians but do not have the capacities to arrest them and register as illegal in the statistics. Visa liberalization is not the only reason of the increase of Ukrainians in the Czech Republic. Major influence is the overall socio-economic situation of both countries and especially extremely low unemployment in the Czech Republic, which creates pressure to the employers...

Projevy a determinanty podpory populistických radikálně pravicových stran v odlišném socio-kulturním prostředí: komparace Česka a Dánska / Rhetorics and determinants of support for populist radical right parties in different socio-cultural environments: a comparison of the Czech Republic and Denmark

Koníček, Michal January 2020 (has links)
This diploma thesis examines the suitability of generalization of the populist radical right parties (PRRP). In recent years, these parties have succeeded on the political scene of many European countries. Using the example of "new" Svoboda a přímá demokracie (SPD) political party and the established Danish People's Party (DF) it shows the differences in the party pre-election rhetoric and program, which are brought about by parties' age as well as by different historical developments in the respective countries. The historical context has affected contemporary political environment and, therefore, there are reasonable doubts about the generalization of the PRRPs. This is especially the case of post-communist countries, which, after years of oppression, had to go through a process of transformation that involved not only economic issues. This thesis is based on the Lipset's and Rokkan's cleavages theory, while it tries to confirm its existence in the given states, namely the economical, the religious, the center - periphery and the urban - rural cleavage. The inclusion of six tested factors in the analysis helps to do this. The multiple linear regression analysis tested which factors (the factors are socio-cultural, socio-economic, and demographic factors) have a statistically significant...

Využití zahraničních hráčů v České baseballové extralize / The use of foreign players in Czech extraleague baseball

Ercoli, Lukáš January 2021 (has links)
Title: The use of foreign players in Czech extraleague baseball Objectives: The thesis aims to determine the contribution of foreign players who were active in the Czech baseball extraleague at the game and club level for the seasons 2015-2020. The diploma thesis compares the effectiveness of game performance of foreign players with Czech players. Conducting statistical analysis can show how many foreign players were on individual teams, and how effective they are for the team. Methods: The thesis analyzes secondary data obtained from the information system of the Czech Baseball Association and data collected by the baseball-stat web portal. Furthermore, semi-structured interviews were conducted with representatives of six Extraleague clubs. The number of foreign players in 2015-2020 and their national composition was examined. Central to the thesis were statistics such as Wins Above Replacement (WAR), Number of innings pitched (IP), Earned run average (ERA) and Batting average (BA). Results: In conclusion, the thesis analyzes secondary sources compared with an analysis of interviews with representatives of Extraleague clubs. The main finding was that foreign players are differential players, and are most often placed in primary positions, such as a pitcher in baseball. This is confirmed by the...

Multi-level kvantitativní vyhodnocení využití cizinců v českém fotbalu / Multi-level quantitative evaluation of the use of foreigners in Czech football

Riedl, Jakub January 2021 (has links)
Title: Multi-level quantitative evaluation of the use of foreigners in Czech football Objectives: The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate how foreign soccer players influence the Czech first league football in seasons from 1993/1994 to 2019/2020, and use multilevel modeling to analyze longitudinal data to find answers to these questions: 1. Do foreign players effect attendance in Czech first soccer league? 2. Do foreigners effect the number of Czech players in the highest soccer league? A secondary goal is to find out if multilevel analysis is a suitable method to evaluate sport migration in a primary sport in a semi-periphery country. Methods: In the master's thesis multilevel analysis with longitudinal data is used to explain dependent variables which were acquired from the Czech first football league between the seasons 1993/94 and 2019/20. Results: The results of this work show that foreign players do not have an effect on attendance because the results were statistically insignificant. The number of foreign players in the Czech league is increasing on average by 0,22 players per year in one club. On the other hand, Czech players were decreasing in all 27 seasons by 0,13 per year per club. The relationship between the dependent variable of Czech players and independent variable of foreign...

Length of the thesis: 120256 characters Abstract Most of the previous research that has examined migration in the Czech Republic has focused primarily on the development of migration flows and changes in government strategies in this area, not on how we think about this issue and how we talk about it. Therefore, the aim of this Thesis is to analyze the political discourse on migration in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The analysis is based on the hypothesis of the existence of two consistent discourse attitudes, which represent restrictive and...
