Vztah uživatelů druhého bydlení k přírodě / Relation of the Secondary Housing Users to NatureMenšíková, Kateřina January 2015 (has links)
This diploma thesis analyses second homes in a specific region of the Lužnice river middle course (the cadastral town of Soběslav and the cadastral parcels of the Roudná, Klenovice and Skalice villages). The applied research part is based on a theoretical background research that defines basic terms, outlines appropriate topics with a connection to second homes (rural tourism, history of second homes, naturbanisation) as well as describes the analysed region. The aim of this thesis is to discover what motivates second home dwellers to use these dwellings for individual recreational activities and to identify the current situation of second home dwelling in this specific region. Another goal I have set for this thesis is to analyse how satisfied are second home dwellers with public services and facilities and whether they are thinking about converting their second (holiday) homes into permanent homes. The methodology of this thesis is based on a questionnaire analysing the second home settlements in the region specified above. The data have been evaluated using Microsoft Excel a PSPP software. Remitence a jejich dopad na východní Evropu / Remittances and their impact on Eastern EuropeKršjaková, Zuzana January 2009 (has links)
Diploma thesis "Remittances and their impact on Eastern Europe" examines the phenomenon of remittances as part of global migration and its having been largely economically motivated and having a positive impact on poverty alleviation. The chosen approach is empirical-analytical methodology. The paper suggests several motivations leading to migration and remittances as well as some positive impacts and risks affecting the senders, receivers as well as the beneficiary economies of remittances. This thesis offers an overview of both all principal source countries and the main corridors of remittance flow. The paper analyses three countries from the former eastern block - Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Moldova - and the reasons which have lead to migration and remitting in these states in relation to their economic transformation from centrally planned to market economies. The analysis considers many factors such as the regional financial crisis in 1998 as well as the ethnically based military conflict which occurred due to the disintegration process in the former Yugoslavia. These issues influence not only the scale of remittances flow but also expand the variety of the senders which commonly include both refugees and Diasporas. Lastly, this thesis presents some possible scenarios related to the...

Vliv sociálních sítí na mezinárodní migraci a úspěšnost integrace (na příkladu ukrajinských a moldavských migrantů v Česku) / Impact of social networks on international migration movements and a success of integration (on the example of Ukrainian and Moldovan migrants in Czechia)Večeřová, Šárka January 2021 (has links)
Extensive emigration from post-soviet countries is caused mainly by unfavorable economic and social conditions, which is the source of the preporderant economic motive of Ukrainian and Moldovan migrants to another country. Mainly for the purpose of easier immigration to the Czech Republic, social networks and links are being built and maintained in geographically dispersed places. Their indispensability in the migration process lies in obtaining information, access to valuable resources and retention of psychological support. Due to the expansion of communication technologies and increasingly favorable conditions for travelling, social networks and ties are gradually developing. The submitted diploma thesis explores the influence of social networks on international migration and the success of the integration of Ukrainian and Moldovan migrants in the Czech Republic. The social networks of migrants are tested in terms of their intensity in the country of origin and in the destination country, and at the same time the financial remittance and transnationalization behavior is targeted. The impact of social networks on migration is analyzed by a quantitative method based on the answers from a questionnaire survey with a selection using the ,,snow-ball" method (data for this research were obtained and...

Dopady změny klimatu na migraci a její důsledky pro oblast Středomoří / The Effects of Climate Change on Migration and Its Implication on the Mediterranean WorldGornes, Francisco January 2022 (has links)
The effects of climate change and global warming and the conversations surrounding it are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. The future predictions of the impact of climate change on the planet present daunting challenges for people around the globe, especially for the Mediterranean littoral, which has been labeled as a climate "hot spot". The paper focuses on the effects of climate change on migration patterns in the Mediterranean region to understand what a warmer future in the Mediterranean may look like to develop policies and strategies that may mitigate some of the more negative outcomes. The paper's main objective is to answer the following question; what are the links between migration patterns and climate change in the Mediterranean region? To the question, it is important to first define and place the theoretical framework firmly in the context that the paper is covering, such as the political, economic, social, environmental and demographic factors. Once these factors are defined, they are applied to real-world case studies in the form of North Africa and Syria through Black, Adger, et al.'s framework of drivers of migration through qualitative and quantitative data that comes from secondary resources. After analysing and comparing the two case studies the results showed that...

Vídeňští Češi v 21.století a jejich hudba z etnomuzikologické perspektivy / Viennese Czechs and their music in the 21st century from an ethnomusicological perspectiveSkořepová, Zita January 2015 (has links)
Around 1900, Vienna became the city with the greatest number of Czech-language speakers. Members of the Czech minority founded important community institutions and engaged in a wide range of cultural activities - music among them. The most important markers characterizing the contemporary Czech minority in Vienna are (1) several variously motivated and differently politically determined waves of voluntary, but also involuntary, migration, (2) presence of descendants of those Czechs who stayed on the territory of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire, and (3) coexistence of several generations and groups of people with different political orientation and attitudes towards integration into Austrian society. At present, the Czech Viennese minority is a heterogeneous community with different "culture cohorts". Using fieldwork, thus the participant observation of musical events together with the semi- structured interviews and combining the theoretical perspectives of ethnomusicology and diaspora studies, this dissertation deals with the three interrelated questions: How do the musical creativity and participation at musical events reflect the heterogeneity of the contemporary Czech Viennese minority? How does the migrant situation determine the creativity, respectively the participation at musical events? And how...
