Mezinárodní profesní migrace zdravotních sester a její kulturní aspekty, případová studie: Království Saúdské Arábie / International Professional Migration of Nurses and its Cultural Aspects, case study: the Kingdom of Saudi ArabiaBabilonová, Zuzana January 2009 (has links)
The thesis is focused on the professional migration of Czech nurses to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In the beginning I characterize migration theories that together with other chapters about the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, healthcare systems of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Czech Republic create basis for the research that is presented in chapter 5. Objectives of the research, which is the crucial part of the thesis, are to reveal motivations of the Czech nurses that lead to migration to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, their imaginations and expectations bounded with work and life in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Also I would like to find out if the expectations were met and if they want to work and live in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on a longterm basis. Based on the results of the research, I conclude that Czech nurses do not want to stay in such country on a longterm basis especially due to big cultural differences between Saudi Arabian and Czech culture. At the end of the thesis I briefly characterize intercultural training that could help Czech nurses with their adaptation to Saudi Arabian culture.

Náklady veřejných rozpočtů ČR vyplývající ze studia slovenských státních příslušníků na veřejných vysokých školách v ČR / The costs of Czech public budgets resulting from the study of Slovak nationals at public universities in the Czech RepublicOndruška, Pavel January 2013 (has links)
The aim of this diploma work is to find out the effectiveness of providing free-of-charge tertiary education to citizens of the Slovak Republic at Czech public universities. In the theoretical part, I will focus on researching motives of Slovak citizens to study in the Czech Republic from the point of view of theory regarding the expansion of human capital and the return on investment into education, as well as utilizing a questionnaire to research the preference in selecting schools outside Slovakia. Furthermore, I focus on the system of financing public universities in the Czech Republic. In the Czech Republic, students are provided with free-of-charge university education, if they complete the graduation examination from the Czech language or if they have another, officially verified, examination from the Czech language. As a result of the mutual agreement between both countries, citizens of the Slovak Republic have an exception negotiated in law 111/1998 Coll. about universities. The practical part focuses on calculating the costs to the public budget for the study of Slovak citizens as well as calculating the benefits, if they decide to work in the Czech Republic. The analysis arises from data of the MŠMT (Ministry of Education, Youth and Physical Education) and the ČSÚ (Czech Statistics Bureau) regarding the number of foreigners at universities as well as the system of financing universities from the statistics of the largest Czech universities, which I have obtained. From the collected data, I find out the representation of Slovak citizens in the individual years. I also attempt to calculate and generalize the approximate number of students, who completed their studies. I calculate the costs based on the individual years, where every student has a fixed sum in the given year, which the public budget incurs for him. I use these cohorts to calculate the benefits, which are divided based on the years and by means of the wage discount method, I find out the approximate amount of tax paid for the time period in which the Slovak citizens work in the Czech Republic.

Testování neoklasického modelu migrace: Empirická analýza panelových dat ČR / Testing the neoclassical migration model: An empirical analysis based on panel data for the Czech republicKureková, Lucie January 2013 (has links)
In this paper is tested validity of the neoclassical migration model. For this purpose, were used Fixed effects model and VAR model. Data contain period of years 2001 to 2010 from 14 regions of the Czech republic and dataset contains 140 observations. Empirical results of Fixed effects model show that socioeconomic determinants had signifficant influence on regional rate of migration in the Czech republic. The direction and strength of influence of the most explanatory variables corresponded to the neoclassical theory. Estimations of VAR model indicate that regional migration did not decrease disparities within regions. These results questioned validity of neoclassical migration model.

Vliv migrace na ekonomický růst / The Impact of Migration on Economic GrowthJančíková, Denisa January 2015 (has links)
Human migration, the movement of people from one place to another with intention of settling there temporarily or permanently, is an integral part of development of human society. The beginning of the Industrial Revolution in late 18th century has resulted in economic growth and improvement of living standards. Countries, in which was industrialisation most intense attracted most immigrants. Second wave of migration was in second half of 20th century caused by development of communication technologies, which gave opportunities to less developed countries improve their economic development. This diploma thesis is aimed exactly on this period. Its goal is to research the impact of migration on economic growth and find out if the flow of migrants is beneficial for the economy or the exact opposite. The impact is examined by regression analysis on panel data for almost 200 hundred countries from whole world for time period 1955-2004.

Má hospodářský cyklus dopad na vliv imigrace na evropský trh práce? / Does The Impact of Immigration on Occupational Specialisation differ in Recession and Expansion in European Union?Polonyankina, Tatiana January 2013 (has links)
The thesis tests whether the impact of immigration on native workers differs depending on the business cycle. Previous studies proved that labour mobility and the effect of immigration differs with respect to the business cycle. For the expansionary years was found a sizable relocation of native workers to occupations with more interactive rather than manual content as a response to immigration. This is no longer the case for economy in recession period. However, there is null impact on native employment that does not change with the business cycle. The results were found for Spanish labour market and the conclusions about the employment all were found also for American labour market. The European labour market has been studied just in the period before crisis. Following the study about Spanish task specialization we would like to see if there is any change of impact of immigration on native task specialization in European Union. We split the data on the time period of expansion and the time period of economic crisis using the European Labour Force Survey. We would like to examine the effect of immigration on task specialization of natives on three groups of countries, West Europe, Germany and Middle and East Europe.

Migrace v České a Slovenské republice / Migrace v České a Slovenské republiceKlimo, Branislav January 2014 (has links)
The diploma thesis describes migration and migration policy development of the Czech and Slovak republic, as well as theoretical studies dealing with migration effects on the labour market and on public finance of the migrants' destination countries. The core of the diploma thesis is an analysis of the relationship between macroeconomic indicators of the analysed countries and their migration flows, analysed by the regression analysis. The regression analysis is followed by a specific quantification of a potential impact of migration flows increase on public finance of the analysed countries. The main contribution of this diploma thesis is that it points out the connection between fiscal policy, migration flows and public finance of analysed countries. The main data sources are the OECD (2014) and EUROSTAT (2014) database and the analysed period is the year 1998 to 2012. I have come to the conclusion that there is a linear relationship between the increase of the selected macroeconomic indicators and migration flows of the analysed countries in case of the Czech and Slovak republic. This increase has negative or positive impact on their public finance, depending on type of increased macroeconomic indicator.

VÝVOJ TRHU PRÁCE V MORAVSKOSLEZSKÉM KRAJI NA POČÁTKU 21. STOLETÍ / Development of labor market in the Moravia-Silesian region at the beginning of the 21st centuryTrnovská, Zuzana January 2014 (has links)
The main focus of this thesis is the analysis of the development of labor market in the Moravia-Silesian region of the Czech Republic in between 2001 and 2013. The theoretical introduction concentrates on aspects that have influence on the differences between regions and the reasons of regional differences in the Czech Republic specifically focusing on those with direct influence on the labor market. The analysis examines the development of employment and unemployment in the mentioned region and time period. It analyzes factors that influenced this development, especially the industrial restructuralization, change of population structure and the social and pension reforms. Detailed attention is given to changes of local labor market of Havířov city, from the very foundation of the city till present time. Using a detailed labor market and demographic structure analysis, conclusions are made that may lead to potential reduction of the high unemployment rate in the Moravia-Silesian region.
