HŘIVNÁČ, Radek January 2019 (has links)
The Diploma Thesis focuses on the general characteristics of the internal and external migration in the area of South Bohemia. One of the most important part of the thesis is the division and the definition of the migration regions of South Bohemia and their comparison with the migration regions according to J. Čekal and administration units SO ORP. The thesis also shows the geographical characteristics of South Bohemia and its historical development of the population and migration. The main part of the Diploma thesis is the analysis of the migration in the region with the help of migration indicators. South Bohemia is a profit region in 1991-2015, the arrival of the new inhabitants is seen mainly in the area of České Budějovice and the regions around bigger county cities. The thesis is also focused on the counterurbanisation flows in the chosen migration area Český Krumlov where the bigger migration activity from the bigger cities did not prove itself. The results are presented with the help of cartographical, graphical and table charts that enable better interpretation of the research.

Výuka místního regionu z pohledu migrace obyvatel - příklad aplikace mezipředmětových vazeb a klíčových kompetencí žáků na základní škole

DANIELOVÁ, Karolína January 2019 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with teaching students of the lower secondary school about the topics of the local region and the migration of the population. The diploma thesis characterizes four specific methods and forms for teaching the local region from the point of view of migration. The methods are based on cross-subject relations and key competences of the students. Afterwards, the thesis is evaluated the process and the fulfilment of the objectives of the application of two teaching topics in geography lessons at the lower secondary school Vodňany in March 2019. Activation methods such as work with the map, walking in the vicinity, field lessons, etc. are often used for teaching the local region. One of the goals was also student´s active approach to geography lessons in creating their own learning activities. Part of the thesis is also an analysis of the results of a questionnaire survey focused on teaching the local region and migration from the perspective of teachers of geography and the knowledge of students about these topics. The results are favourable for the purpose of the thesis. Teachers link the topics of the local region and migration, it demonstrates that the proposed learning activities can use in the practice. Students have shown relatively good knowledge of the local region and during learning activities were able to use knowledge. In the introduction of the thesis is elaborated the theoretical part of the thesis, which is related to the themes of geography didactics, interdisciplinary relations, FEP BE, key competences, forms and methods of teaching.

Rozvojová a migrační politika jako nástroje soudobé turecké geopolitiky / Development and migration policy as instruments of contemporary Turkish geopolitics

Hlavatá, Nora January 2019 (has links)
One of the countries that has enjoyed great international interest in recent years is Turkey. The long period of passive foreign policy oriented primarily towards the West has been replaced in recent years by a very active foreign policy focused on its own region. Turkey has included new instruments and activities in its foreign policy that are more in line with the position of the Middle Power. Two of the foreign policy instruments that have become important in Turkey include development aid and migration policy, or more precisely its response to refugee crises. This is also due to the fact that, as a result of the Syrian crisis, Turkey currently hosts more than three million refugees on its territory. The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the changes in Turkey's migration and development policy in the context of its overall foreign policy, as well as the way in which these issues are used to increase its soft power. The more general goal is to try to use the findings to enrich the Two-Good Theory with soft power tools. The Two-Good Theory attempts to explain the behavior of states in terms of their inclination towards maintaining status quo or changing the status quo in different areas of international relations. As shown by the diploma thesis, Turkey used these tools to build its position,...

Ekonomická integrace imigrantů v Kanadě na prahu 21. století / Economic Integration of Immigrants to Canada in the 21st century

Poddaná, Barbora January 2011 (has links)
This Diploma Thesis aims to analyze the economic situation of the immigrants to Canada and evaluate the success of their integration to the Canadian labour market and society. The current immigration policy is based on the undiscriminatory point system by which Canada tends to maximalize the incoming human capital. The Diploma Thesis is divided into three parts, the first one tries to define the basic concepts and terms of the topic, the second one illustrates the historical development of the immigration policy and the last chapter examines the barriers and problems the new immigrants are facing to. The previous analysis should confirm or disprove the following hypothesis: the maximalization of the human capital is not optimal for the longterm goals of the immigration policy, mostly because of the barriers that the immigrants are facing to. They often do the job for which they are overqualified, therefore the waste of the human capital occurs and the immigrants are not able to integrate properly to the labour market. Forthcoming attitude towards the recognition of the foreign credentials, the accelaration of the administrative procedures and the willingness to provide more information to the potential immigrants prior their arrival to Canada, might bring an improvement to the integration process.

Osobní a rodinné strategie venkovského obyvatelstva / The individual and family strategies of the rural population

FROŇKOVÁ, Lucie January 2015 (has links)
This master´s thesis concern about personal and family strategies of rural population in the second part of 19. century. The following strategies are especially affiliated with choosing children´s name, select of godfathers, partners choices, labour migration and reservatum rusticum. The origin for rechearch of this theme is possible divide in two big parts. The first generate literary works of the realist art movement 19. century (novel and short stories from Jindřich Šimon Baar, Karel Klostermann, Teréza Nováková, Karel Václav Rais, Gabriela Preissová and others) and trivial literature the same period (novel and short stories from V. Čuta, Josef Jahoda, Vlasta Javořická, Vlasta Pittnerová, Marie E. Vokáčová, Bohumil Zahradník-Brodský and others). The second part is consist of origin evidential (birth, marriage and death records, census) and insurance charakter. It was choosed a territory of Besednice for a concrete comparation.

Imigrace v rámci Evropské unie očima Čechů žijících v Portugalsku / Immigration within the European Union by Eyes of Czechs Living in Portugal.

SOUČKOVÁ, Michaela January 2016 (has links)
This diploma thesis is focused on a contemporary topic which has been broadly discussed in media and common Czech society. The main objective is a qualitative probe into lives of Czech nationals living in Portugal, and to determine the problems Czechs faced trying to adapt to living in a new country. It also seeks to determine the hallmarks of acceptance by the host country from the perspective of Czechs. The first part of the hypothesis discusses the actual progression of migration in the European Union. It also describes migration theories and defines landmarks in the history of immigrationto Portugal. The other chapters are focused on immigration and integration politics in the European Union as a whole and in Portugal specifically. The thesis also described the role of programme Eures and the ACIDI organization. The thesis also details social security coordination for migrants within the European Union and within Portugal. The last chapter outlines the theme of expatriate associations. The theoretical part of diploma thesis is based mainly on professional Czech and foreign publication sources as well as internet sources. The second, practical part defines the target and research questions which are as follows: Which qualitative problems did Czechs living in Portugal face during the process of adaptation to portuguese society? What are the hallmarks of cultural acceptance by the host country from the Czech perspective? The data was obtained through the method of semi- structured interviews. The method of "captured clusters" was chosen for data evaluation while the "searched clusters" were processed into charts for charity. The discussions seeks answers on research questions by searched clusters and compares it with information in professional academic literature. The discussion cites direct responses from comunication partners to describe and approximate the life of Czechs living in Portugal. The research revealed that for Czechs trying to adapt to portuguese society, the biggest obstaclewas the difficulty of the portuguese language. A low level of competence in portuguese made it difficultto deal with administrative processes in state offices and other state institutions. It also complicated their entry and movement in labor market. However, the research determined that Czechs generally become accustomed to the cultural particularities of portuguese society, even if they still find distinct individual differences. The research showed that it was the opinion of most czechs´s that the portuguese tend to judge many immigrants based on prejudices and pre-conceived notions.

Embryonální vývoj a transplantace primordiálních zárodečných buněk u candáta obecného Sander lucioperca

GÜRALP, Hilal January 2017 (has links)
It is the purpose of this thesis to implement primordial germ cell (PGC) transplantation, one of the new biotechnological reproductive methods, and for this to explain the details that we have to know about embryo development and PGC migration in pikeperch. We provide several specific useful methods such as GFP labelling and blastodisc surgery which are required for efficiency assessment of the transplantation technique. The main results of the publications in the thesis could be informative and useful for generation of germline chimera by using pikeperch. We described pikeperch embryo development to first feeding at 15°C in detail and demonstrated effects of temperature on the rate of embryogenesis to determine temperature limits for slowing development with minimum negative effects on growth and survival rate. We also developed a technique to soften the pikeperch chorion by enzyme in order to remove it by forceps for in depth observation. Additional groups of eggs were fertilised and incubated at different temperatures to document embryo developmental stages, developmental rate, and survival. The optimum fertilisation and incubation temperature was 15°C, with the highest fertilisation, survival, and hatching rates. Embryo development was drastically slowed down at 10 °C, with 45% of fertilised embryos surviving to hatching. Development was accelerated at 20 °C, with a 56% survival rate of fertilised embryos. After the series of experiments to characterize the embryo development of pikeperch, it could be a valuable model percid for research in which flexible incubation temperatures is required. We described the important early embryonic events, namely, yolk syncytial layer (YSL) formation and midblastula transition (MBT) during the blastula stage in pikeperch embryos. The chorion was removed as we described in the first study. The YSL was formed after the breakdown of marginal cells during the 512- to 1k-cell stage. Cell division analysis by 4'-6-diaminido-2-phenylindole (DAPI) staining revealed that transition from synchronous to asynchronous division occurred after 1k-cell stage. Our results indicate that MBT starts after this stage. Next, we performed blastodisc isolation assay to find the competent stage for embryonic manipulation. Embryos were manipulated by using a microneedle every hour from the 512-cell to the sphere stage, and then developmental rates were evaluated at the hatching stage. The highest survival rate was obtained when we performed this manipulation at the 1k-cell stage. These results clearly showed that the MBT is the best stage for transplantation of PGCs or any cells in pikeperch. We described PGC migration and performed blastomere transplantation in pikeperch. PGCs were visualised by injection of synthesised green fluorescent protein (GFP) within the 3'untranslated region (UTR) mRNA of nanos3. GFP-positive PGCs appeared in all embryos at approximately 100% epiboly. Time-lapse imaging revealed the PGC migration pattern from their initial appearance to the location at the gonadal ridge. We conducted blastomere transplantation at the blastula stage. Donor embryos were labelled with GFP-nos3 3'UTR mRNA and tetramethylrhodamine dextran to label PGCs and somatic cells, respectively. Twelve blastomere transplantation chimeras were produced, with eight surviving to hatching. All exhibited donor-derived somatic cells in the developing body. The PGCs from donor embryos were observed to migrate towards the gonad region of the host embryos. Our results indicated that blastomere transplantation can be successfully applied in pikeperch, and these findings may be useful to produce germline chimeras in percids.
