Problémy implementace integrační politiky ve vztahu k migrantům prostřednictvím nestátních neziskových organizací na území hlavního města Prahy / Implementation problems of migrant integration policy trough non-governmental non-profit organizations on the territory of Prague

Lazutkin, Jevgenij January 2018 (has links)
This work discusses the role of non-government non-profit organisations in implementation of the integration policy in relation to migrants within the territory of the Capital City of Prague. The integration policy means both the integration policy of the Czech Republic and also the actual integration policy of the Capital City of Prague expressed in the Prague integration concept. The purpose of this work is to find out what role non-government non-profit organisations play during the process of implementation of this policy, their standing among other parties involved in the integration policy, and it also primarily focuses on the phenomenon of the implementation deficit arising during implementation of policies. The theoretical section describes Czech migration and integration policies, the Prague integration policy and the theoretical starting points on which this work is based. The work is based on data acquired directly from interviews with selected representatives of non-profit organisations and also on secondary sources about formation and realisation of integration policies. The work is created in the form of a case study and initially investigates which suitable model can be used to describe the process of implementation of integration policies by means of non-government non-profit...

"Až přijdou do Prahy, bude pozdě" Obsahová analýza mediálních sdělení zaměřených na tzv. migrační krizi a její genderový rozměr / "When they arrive, it will be too late" Content Analysis of Media Messages Focused on the So-called Migration Crisis and its Gender Dimension

Němečková, Michaela January 2019 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the presentation of the so-called migration and refugee crisis of 2015- 2016 in the news coverage published by the main Czech daily newspapers. The thesis is a gender analysis of media messages during that period. In the framework of this thesis, I have analysed through qualitative content analysis written media reports as well as photographs of newly arrived migrants and other visual materials published in the media in order to illustrate migrants in Czech daily newspapers Blesk, Lidove noviny, Mlada fronta Dnes, and Pravo during the month of January 2016. The thesis focuses on how masculinity/femininity is constructed in media messages. Furthermore, the thesis looks into the construction and representation of otherness through media messages dedicated to so-called migration crisis. The aim of the thesis is to critically assess how newly arrived migrants are depicted by the main four Czech dailies, and to analyse and explain the mechanisms through which certain characteristics associated with newly arrived migrants are emphasised or suppressed. Key words: Media - gender - masculinity - femininity - migration - migration crisis - refugee crisis - religion - ethnicity - otherness

Důvody vysoce kvalifikovaných migrantů k návratu do Bosny a Hercegoviny po roce 2005 / Return Decisions of Highly Skilled Migrants in Bosnia and Herzegovina after 2005

Andrlová, Anna January 2020 (has links)
Brain drain, or human capital flight, is a phenomenon which represents a society-wide problem in the post-Dayton Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). At present, more than half of the people claiming BiH nationality live abroad, out of which a significant part possesses tertiary education. Loss of human capital carries negative socio-economic consequences which hinder the country's development. On the other hand, brain gain, i.e. return of highly skilled migrants to their country of origin, might reverse some of the unfavourable effects. Nevertheless, the phenomenon of the return of highly skilled migrants remains under researched not only within the region of the Western Balkans, but also on a global scale. Although this type of migration has increasingly attracted the attention of many scholars from various academic and non- academic fields, contemporary literature on this topic suffers from limitations and tends to oversimplify the returnees' motivations to purely economic incentives. This study attempts to describe the complex factors leading the highly skilled migrants to return to BiH. Based on the 33 respondents' subjective preferences from the spheres of career, family and lifestyle, this work provides an insight into the decisions of returnees in the context of the developing Western Balkan country.

Rozhodnutí o změně pracoviště u nelékařského zdravotnického personálu / Decision to leave workplace in non-medical healthcare workers

Picmausová, Ivana January 2020 (has links)
The fluctuation of nursing staff in the medical facilities is not just current problem in the Czech Republic. Aging population will present higher demand for number of nursing staff. It is assumed that the insufficient number of nursing staff will remain and even rise (also due to aging of the staff) if appropriate actions are not taken (Simoens et al., 2005). This thesis discusses the decision to migrate amongst the nursing staff - general nurses, practical nurses, midwives, and emergency paramedics within the medical facility. It analyses the reasons for changing their workplace. The investigation was executed using the questionnaire method. It was conducted in January and February of 2020 in the selected medical facility in the Czech Republic. Total of 701 questionnaires were distributed to all inpatient wards, outpatient departments and intensive care units. The investigation targeted nursing medical staff. A statistical analysis of the results was performed Mann-Whitney U test was used to monitor the differences for decision to migrate based on various characteristics and responses. Total of 415 completed questionnaires were analysed in this investigation. 61/415 (14.7 %) responders consider the change of workplace. The most common nursing staff members to consider the change were general...

Každodenní životní zkušenosti a integrační proces: případ turecké minority v Nizozemí / Everyday Life Experiences and Integration Process: A case of the Turkish Minority in the Netherlands

Celikdemir, Ege January 2020 (has links)
This thesis examines the everyday life experiences of Turkish migrants settled in the Netherlands. It analyzes how the Turkish minority perceives their daily lives in the Netherlands in the manner of the identity construction and integration process. The narratives of the migrants are explored in the following ways; media use, language use, attachment to the country of origin, views on identity construction, and integration. Ethnic media use, second language use, and the level of attachment to Turkey are used as indicators for everyday life experiences while integration and identity construction are investigated dependently. Most importantly, this study argues that integration is a two- way process that takes place differently in multiple spheres. For this reason, it analyzes the concept of integration through the voices of the Turkish migrants in the Netherlands rather than focusing solely on the adopted policies. Keywords: Turkish minority, the Netherlands, everyday experiences, integration, identity

Úloha sulfhydryl oxidázy 1 v karcinogenezi / Role of sulfhydryl oxidase 1 in cancerogenesis

Beranová, Lea Marie January 2019 (has links)
Disulfide bridges play a significant role in protein-folding as well as en- zyme activity and thus regulate many intra- and extracellular processes. Sulfhydryl oxidase QSOX1 forms S-S bridges de novo, modulating the activity of its substrates and thus directly or indirectly influences vital cel- lular processes. The first part of this thesis focuses on characterization of the role of QSOX1 in cancerogenesis, using breast cancer cell lines (MCF7, MDA-MB-231) and pancreatic cancer cell line (Panc-1), while the second part emphasizes the regulation of QSOX1 expression by different oxygen concentrations. To study the effect of QSOX1 on proliferation of triple-negative cancer cells MDA-MB-231, two genetically modified cell lines - QSOX1-overexpressing and QSOX1 knockout cell lines - were constructed. While increased QSOX1 protein levels do not have a significant effect, the absence of QSOX1 leads to a decreased cellular growth. Lack of QSOX1 also results in visible change in cellular morphology. QSOX1 knockout cells can be mostly characterized as more round-shaped with less noticeable or completely missing lamellipo- dia. This finding is with agreement with to-date literature suggesting that QSOX1 is important not only for cellular proliferation but also for migration and invasiveness. While authenticating the theory of...

In-vitro analýza améboidně-mezenchymálního přechodu A375m2 melanomových buněk / In-vitro analysis of amoeboid-mesenchymal transition of A375m2 melanoma cells

Kasalová, Lenka January 2010 (has links)
The invasion of cancer cells is an important aspect of cancer progression. Single tumor cells exhibit at least two types of invasion in 3D environment, mesenchymal and amoeboid invasion. Tumor cells can switch between these two modes of movement depending on cellular status and surrounding environment. Amoeboid-mesenchymal transition (AMT) is less explored then mesenchymal-amoeboid transition (MAT). We performed a proteomic analysis of amoeboid-mesenchymal transition of human melanoma cell line A375M2. We have induced amoeboid-mesenchymal transition by treatment with a ROCK inhibitor Y27632 in 3D matrigel matrices and in 2D environment. Induction of the amoeboid-mesenchymal transition has changed a level of expression of 92 proteins and a level of phosphorylation of 15 proteins. Expression of only 17 proteins and phosphorylation of 8 proteins was identically changed in both of these environments. We found that PKCα regulates amoeboid migration and that treatment of cells with a PKCα inhibitor Gö6976 induces amoeboid-mesenchymal transition. Analysis of the proteomics data have further shown that induction of AMT by the ROCK inhibitor Y27632 leads to activation of antiapoptotic signals and activation of signaling pathways involved in regulation of actin cytoskeleton especially regulation of focal...

Vývojová typologie nejrychleji rostoucí části metropolitních USA v desetiletí mezi roky 2000 a 2010 / The Developmental Typology of the Fastest Growing Portion of the Metropolitan USA in the Decade from 2000 to 2010

Kohl, Ondřej January 2011 (has links)
This text was written as a diploma thesis of master's degree study course "Regional and political geography." It focuses on the development between the last two censuses, of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the United States. The economic crisis of the late 2000s has been a major turning point of the decade. The goal of the research was to create a developmental typology of the fastest growing metros. The text analyzes "classifiers" data in order to decide what developmental types have been among the metros. A major factor contributing to high population gains in the fastest growing metros was the migration induced by the housing bubble.

Rozmístění imigrantů po území Itálie / Spatial Distribution of Immigrants in Italy

Pavelková, Lenka January 2011 (has links)
This thesis focuses on spatial distribution of immigrants in Italy. In the beginning, it presents three migration theories used in the thesis (network theory, Human Capital Model, institutional theory) and related hypothesis for the research. Then it summarises the migration history of Italy since the Second World War and the current situation. After that, the tex proceeds to the examination of the spatial distribution of immigrants in Italy. The examination is done in two ways. First, there is analysis of statistical data by correlation analysis which tries to find factors which explain the immigrants' distribution in Italy. Second is the analysis of the results of a survey done in Trieste, Italy, between March and June 2011 among the two largest groups of immigrants living in the province of Trieste (those with citizenship of Serbia and Romania). The main results are that one of the most important factors for the immigrants' distribution are the job opportunities and better earnings for themselves and for their families. Interestingly, the network theory wasn't supported by the research, especially for Romanians who seem to prefer provinces with less Romanians (and foreigners in general) already present. After the analysis, the results are compared with the situation in the Czech Republic. For further...
