Kommunala kulturmiljöprogram : strategiska planeringsunderlag för landskapsanalys, kulturhistorisk värdering och utveckling av kulturmiljöer

Nilsson, Erika January 2005 (has links)

In 1999 the Swedish Parliament decided about 15 environmental goals aimed to be achieved in time for the next generation. For example physical social planning must be based on programs and strategies how cultural-historical values has been attended, so called programs of cultural heritage. By law the Swedish municipalities are responsible for reaching these goals by creating program of cultural heritage. But only a few of the municipalities have these programs, meaning that many municipalities need to create programs of cultural heritage in the next five years.

The aim of this report is to present a model of analysis on programs of cultural heritage in municipalities for preservation and development of cultural environments. By testing the model on the municipalities of Osby and Tomelilla methods on how to create a new program of cultural heritage or how to complete existing documents are formulated.

One of the conclusions is that one document, program of cultural heritage, functions as landscape analysis, model of cultural valuation and strategy of developing cultural values. One condition is that the program of cultural heritage is established in social planning in the municipality.

Two case-studies, the Osby and Tomelilla programs of cultural heritage with text-analysis and interviews, constitutes the study. The municipalities do not use these programs in full extension, often based on ignorance. When the program isn’t established with politicians or employees it can’t be established with citizens. The study shows great differences between the program in Tomelilla which can be applied to the physical social planning, and the program in Osby which can’t. The conclusion is that the program needs to be adjusted for the cause if the program can’t be applied in the hysical social planning in the municipality.

The common meaning in the municipalities is that cultural heritage is a positive factor, which makes it possible to reach the environmental goals, regional development, tourism et cetera. Models For Estimating Construction Duration: An Application For Selected Buildings On The Metu Campus

Odabasi, Elvan 01 July 2009 (has links) (PDF)
The duration of construction of a project depends on many factors, such as: cost, location, site characteristics, procurement methods, area of construction, footprint of the building and its height, etc. It is very important to be able to predict these durations accurately in order to successfully complete a project on time. Various construction duration estimation tools have been developed to make accurate predictions, as &ldquo / time is money.&rdquo / The main objective of this study was to develop a model that can be used to predict the construction duration of a project in a reliable and practical way. Contractors can thus use a project&#039 / s characteristics, as given in the tender documents, to estimate the actual amount time it would take them to complete the construction works. In this study, factors affecting the duration of a construction project and models for estimating construction durations were investigated. Within this framework, duration estimation models such as / Bromilow&rsquo / s Time-Cost (BTC) Model and Building Cost Information Service (BCIS) Model were used while Simple Linear Regression (SLR) and Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) analyses were conducted on data related to seven case study buildings that are situated at the Middle East Technical University (METU) campus in Ankara. This data was obtained from the Department of Construction and Technical Works (DCTW) at METU. The closeness in estimation of the regression analyses was investigated and finally an MLR model was obtained which was based on two parameters / the area of the building and the area of its fa&ccedil / ade. On the other hand, as opposed to studies reported in literature, the effect of cost on duration was not seen to be significant.

Modeling Of Software As A Service Architectures And Investigation On Their Design Alternatives

Ozturk, Karahan 01 July 2010 (has links) (PDF)
In general, a common reference architecture can be derived for Software as a Service (SaaS) architecture. However, while designing particular applications one may derive various different application design alternatives from the same reference SaaS architecture specification. To meet the required functional and nonfunctional requirements of different enterprise applications it is important to model the possible design so that a feasible alternative can be defined. In this thesis, we propose a systematic approach and the corresponding tool support for guiding the design of the SaaS application architecture. The approach defines a SaaS reference architecture, a family feature model and a set of reference design rules. Based on the business requirements an application feature model is defined using the family feature model. Selected features are related to design decisions and a SaaS application architecture design is derived. By defining multiple application architectures based on different application feature models we can even compare multiple alternatives and based on this select the most feasible alternative.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Abstract - final.pdf: 11947 bytes, checksum: 435d59eefe9021e83e2a9ae702c1de13 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2005-03-01 / The objective of this study was to evaluate the dental arch asymmetry s degree in individuals with normal occlusion and Class II malocclusion and to investigate the sexual dimorphism presence s in these individuals. 180 pars of study models were measured with a new appliance designed for analysis of dental arch asymmetries. These models were divided in three groups: Group 1: individuals with normal occlusion; Group 2: individuals with malocclusion Class II division 1; and Group 3: individuals with malocclusion Class II division 2. These individuals had age between 12 to 21 years old. Verified that everybody had dental arch asymmetry; the Group 1 had the smallest dental arch asymmetry s degree; the groups 2 and 3 had similar dental arch asymmetry s degree; the mandibular dental arches had a bigger dental arch asymmetry s degree than the maxillary dental arches; the midline had a opposite direction of the side of molars that had a mesial position, except for the maxillary dental arch in the Group 2 (Class II division 1); and, clinically, there wasn t sexual dimorphism for the dental arch asymmetry s evaluation.

Empirical evidence on pricing of contingent convertibles / Empirical evidence on pricing of contingent convertibles

Rýgr, Petr January 2018 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to shed more light into practical challenges related to pricing of contingent convertibles by empirically evaluating validity of two most crucial modelling assumptions of contingent convertible pricing framework. First assumption is that contractually specified capital ratio can be proxied by stock price level. Second modelling assumption is that volatility smile characteristic for stock market can be also incorporated into the contingent pricing model. First assumption is tested by comparison of probability of conversion implied by balance sheet figures with probability implied by market spreads. Analysis of our dataset indicates that probability implied by figures reported on balance sheet of issuer is statistically higher than probability estimated by market participants, suggesting that there is a confidence that reported figures do not fully represent the capital position of issuer and its ability to raise additional capital and revert the potential conversion. New information available on balance sheet also does not tend to immediately and fully materialize in contingent convertibles market. Secondly, incorporation of volatility smile characteristic for stock market leads to very low and unstable trigger level compared to level implied by balance sheet. Finally,...

Sociální sítě v Human Resources Managementu (model pro podporu náboru zaměstnanců) / Social Media Networks in Human Resources Management (Model Supporting a Recruitment of Employees)

Böhmová, Lucie January 2017 (has links)
The main goal and contribution of this thesis are to create an artifact in the form of model that supports a recruitment of employees via social media networks and its implementation into practice. For this purpose has been used a depth analysis of current state of researched problematics leading to finding gaps that could be eventually solved while using mentioned model. The Author takes advantage of knowledge obtained from literature research and also from self-created research, particularly the analysis of content type investigated social media networks and specific data obtained manually and automatically; Comparative analysis of job advertisements; periodic questionnaire survey amongst HR staff. A significant part of the research has also been an investigation of already existing frames of social media networks recruitment. A depth analysis of current state determines that there is existence only of few models dealing with social media networks recruiting. Furthermore, these models lack candidate evaluation based on the social media networks behavior. Artifact as a model that supports a recruitment of employees via social media networks contains a suggestion of an automatic solution dealing with user´s data downloading and also a suggestion of subsequent analytical data processing and the creation of a predictive model for assessing the user´s behavior on the social media networks. Final evaluation of the effectiveness of the proposed model is done through the formal verification process and the case study. The case study verification has the suggested artifact been implemented in practice with a name Model PM that is using a recruiting application (Práce na míru) for an extraction of Facebook´s data. For user´s behavior predictor setting has been used a character test (MBTI). With the help of the cluster analysis and machine learning (Decision trees) has been created Stochastic predictive model that determines a character type of particular candidate (The accuracy of the prediction of the MBTI personality category is in the range between 68 % to 84 % in individual cases with confidence value between 43 % and 81 %). The case study verified a usefulness of model that supports a recruitment of employees via social media networks, and afterward, the mode has been implemented into the practice.
