An Evaluation of a Modified Behavioral Skills Training Procedure for Teaching Poison Prevention Skills to Children with Developmental Disabilities

Petit-Frere, Paula 21 March 2019 (has links)
Although household product, such as pharmaceuticals and cleaning chemicals, are part of a child’s everyday life, accidental poisonings can occur as a result of ingestion. Children diagnosed with developmental disabilities are even more susceptible to being injured when they come into contact with these poisonous agents. Behavioral approaches have been used extensively to teach safety skills to children with disabilities. However, those that targeted poison prevention skills required additional methods that were more intrusive for the child to acquire the skills. Thus, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of a modified behavioral skills training package that incorporates a system of least prompts. Results showed that BST and system of least prompts increased poison prevention skills for all three participants and the skills maintained at follow-up.

Hodnocení veřejných zakázek dle ekonomické výhodnosti / Evaluation of tenders in public procurement according to its economical advantage

Sahánková, Barbora January 2020 (has links)
Abtract The main aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the evaluation of tenders in public procurement according to their economic advantageousness and at the same time to compare the current stage of the ability of contracting authorities to evaluate this economic advantageousness compared to the stage of effect of the previous legal regulation. The background information for the topic of this diploma thesis were obtained from the legal regulation of the Czech Republic and the European Union, professional literature (legal commentaries), professional articles of periodical publications dealing with public procurement, internet sources and the case law of the Office for the Protection of Competition, administrative courts of the Czech Republic and the Court of Justice of the European Union. The analytical approach, linguistic, teleological and comparative method of legal interpretation were used. This diploma thesis consists of six main chapters. The introductory chapter discusses the purpose and aim of the legal regulation of public procurement and in the following chapter the part of the tender procedure and the basic principles of public procurement, crucial for the whole process of public procurement. The third chapter is devoted to the core of this thesis, namely the economic advantage in the...

Hledání invariancí v senzorickém kódování přes gradientní metody. / Finding invariances in sensory coding through gradient methods.

Kovács, Peter January 2021 (has links)
The key to understanding vision is to acquire insight into the sensory coding of indi- vidual neurons. To this end, major advances were done over the past 50 years in fitting models to neural data to identify the mapping from sensory space to neural responses. Especially the advance of DNNs in neuroscience allowed for model fits with excellent predictive power. However, such advanced neural models are complex, and their poor in- terpretability has so far hindered deeper understanding of the principles of visual coding. To address this issue, a recent study proposed a method which identifies the stimulus that activates the neuron the most. However, the sensory coding of highly non-linear neurons, which are abundant already at the earliest stages of visual processing, is too complex for a single stimulus to sufficiently characterize it. A more robust way to char- acterize this coding is through identifying the input sub-space within which the neuron is activated identically - i.e. finding invariances of the neuron's sensory representation. In this thesis, a novel approach for finding such invariant stimuli is proposed. The proposed technique is based on a generator neural network, which maps Gaussian noise from latent space to a stimulus set which equally activates a given neuron. The method demonstrated the...

Ve jménu pokroku: Osudy obyvatel "zmizelého" Dolního Jiřetína. / In the name of progress: Destinies of inhabitants of "disappeared" Dolní Jiřetín.

Kryšpínová, Tereza January 2011 (has links)
This master thesis deals with the story of village of Dolní Jiřetín, liquidated on the beginning of 1980s, and a destiny of its inhabitants who lived in the village until it disappeared. Dolní Jiřetín was one of many villages destroyed in region of Most since World War II because of an expansion of coal mining and chemical industry. However, its liquidation was unique because the village was divided into two parts. The southeast of the village became part of sanitary zone of chemical works in Záluží, the rest of Dolní Jiřetín was undermined by colliery called Centrum. This thesis describes history of the village and life of its inhabitants before the liquidation, especially in time of industrialization boom. The text concentrates on development of both causes of disappearance of the village - brown coal collieries and chemical works in the region of Most. Then it follows the liquidation itself, since preparation through realization to what happened in the village after all the inhabitants left. It shows the process both from the side of institutions which organized the liquidation and from the view of inhabitants of Dolní Jiřetín. In the end the thesis deals with a case of village of Horní Jiřetín which shared some parts of its history with Dolní Jiřetín and today it faces probably very similar...

Izolovaný Dubrovník: Varianty řešení dopravního propojení chorvatského území rozděleného oblastí Neumu / Isolated Dubrovnik: Possible transport connection solutions of the Croatian territory divided by the Neum area

Vedral, Martin January 2015 (has links)
The Master thesis deals with potential solutions of transport connection between two parts of the Croatian territory separated by Neum of Bosna and Hercegovina. The territorial separation became rather problematic after the Croatian entry into the European Union on July 1, 2013. Much stricter border controls between Croatia and Bosnia have considerably complicated traveling to the two parts of Croatia. In its historical section, the study explains why and when the unusual separation originated. Further, it deals with possible solutions that arise and assesses their economic and ecological demands while taking international law aspects into consideration. In the analytical part, the thesis aims to analyse the interests and goals of each player that directly influences the problem or the problem indirectly affects them. The players are the European Union, both Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, local authorities, and Croatian political parties. The author concludes that the Peljesac Bridge, going from the Croatian territory to the Peljesac Peninsula, is the most likely solution out of all discussed options. To finish the bridge successfully, however, Croatia needs to get considerable amount of money from the EU as it does not have sufficient means to finance such a technology and construction...
