This thesis analyzes present situation in a firm with an aim to detect weak points in management and motivation of employees. Also the thesis offers possibilities of improvement for purpose of an increase in effectiveness of the firm.

The objective of this Masters thesis is to improve the quality and the effectiveness of personal work with the attempt on motivation and evaluation employees of the company UNIS, Inc. Based on questionnaires was evaluated current status and suggested changes in motivation and classification system of employees.

The thesis compared the competitive opportunities of LMS systems, and selected one particular solution. This diploma thesis deals with motivation of entrepreneurs to carry on business in the field of language education and motivation for development of business activity. The theoretical part of the thesis defines fundamental concepts of motivation and entrepreneurship as well as other concepts linked to the self-management of entrepreneurs. The practical part of the work focuses on research conducted firstly through personal interviews with the founders of language schools and secondly through a questionnaire survey of teachers of foreign languages doing business under a trade license. Data are collected based on this research and their subsequent analysis leads to the evaluation of business motivation and its comparison between these two groups of entrepreneurs. Conclusion of the work then includes own proposals aiming to increase the motivation in the business activity.

The subject of this diploma thesis is to identify the sources of motivation of employees of the company DPMB, Inc., and proposals to increase their effectiveness. The thesis focuses primarily on the practice of apprentices and their instructors, as in a key group from a future point of view. The research was conducted through a questionnaire and interviews. The results were compared with theory and consulted with management of the company. On the basis of the results, measures were proposed to eliminate, or at least minimize major found deficiencies.
