The thesis deals with monetary policy in the Czech Republic and its significance. The first theoretical part is focused on the central banking tools Czech National Bank, which used to promote the economy and the theoretical foundations of business banking. The main goal of my dissertation is to analyze the personality of Engliš, who was an important representative of the scientific and financial elites during the period of the First Republic. I will venture to explain the causes of his rise during the First Republic and aim to characterize his relations with other elites. The term "elite" refers not only to representatives of the political and financial life of the First Republic, but also to the important leaders of its scientific and cultural scenes. In my dissertation I want to address the relationships between the elite of the First Republic and Karel Engliš. Public opinion played an important role in the relations between Engliš and the elite of the First Republic, in particular as Engliš was presented in the media and how the public perceived him. His family was supportive of Karel Engliš but also caused him many problems. Supervision of financial activity Abstract The activity of entities operating on the financial market is one of the most regulated ones. Economists generally agree that services provided by entities in the financial system are so vital for the functioning of the economy that the overgrown regulatory rules are well- founded. In response to the global financial crisis, there has been a significant development in the regulation and supervision of the financial system, in particular the expansion of the prudential rules of major institutions and the emergence of new areas of macro-prudential supervision and resolution supervision. These are largely the subject of the submitted diploma thesis. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the supervision of the financial system of the Czech Republic in the perspective of institutional and functional classification and in context with their development after the global financial crisis. Influenza is a highly contagious viral disease with epidemic and pandemic spread of the character, which annually affects 10% of the world's population, in the course of a pandemic even 40-50%. The originator of the disease is a virus that is present as a type A, type B or type C. Source of infection is the man to transfer air or contaminated objects. Susceptibility is widespread. The disease predominantly affects the respiratory tract, has a sudden beginning and manifests itself primarily with fever, chills, muscle pain, joint pain and headache. The most common complication is inflammation of the lungs. In the diagnosis are rapid tests for the detection of the Antigen. Treatment is symptomatic, antivirals are available the type of neuraminidase inhibitors M2, which easily gives rise to a resistance of influenza virus. The basis for the prevention of influenza is annual vaccination, which dramatically reduces the risk of hospitalization and death, especially among the elderly and the chronically ill. Coverage in our population is low, and that despite the fact that the flu is the cause of the deaths of thousands of people around the world. A year in the Czech Republic will die according to qualified estimates the flu one to two thousand people. Due to the possible prevention of influenza, it is important to disseminate information on the possibilities of prevention by vaccination and educate the general public about the seriousness of this disease. Diploma thesis discusses influenza disease as such and on the issue of vaccination against influenza among the elderly in connection with the adoption of the NAP to increase vaccination coverage against the flu. The theoretical part summarises the commonly known knowledge on the causative agent of the disease, the way of transmission, symptoms, diagnosis, complications, treatment, and prevention by vaccination.

The thesis deals with the phenomenom of mestizaje and searches for Ink and European perspective of the issue in The Royal Comentaries of the Incas by Inca Garcilaso de la Vega. The paper offers a general view into the problem of mestizaje. Ink and European perspectives are studies in the work of Inca Garcilaso de la Vega who was one of the first man of mixed race born in the New World.

This thesis deals with the life and work of Karel Dostal. The first chapter provides biographical data and tries to map his personality. The following chapters are devoted to his creative work in theatre and in film industry. The work is divided according to professional fields ? Karel Dostál as an actor and Karel Dostál as a director. Primary it is focusing on his scope in National Theatre, where Karel Dostál spent the longest part of his career. It describes several productions which he directed. Specifically selected productions are divided into several creative periods of his life, which carries significant changes in director´s handwriting. Most productions are supported by visual material and contemporary criticism. Another part of this thesis is an analysis of some of his roles in theatre and films. These descriptions of actor?s performance should serve as refutation of knowledge of Karel Dostál as an actor of small and inconsequential roles. Simultaneously, this thesis is pointing at whole range of raw material about fundamental personality of Czech theatre scene.

The main aim of this thesis was to compare the quality of life in three villages near to the town of Susice. One lying inside the national park Šumava, the latter lying in the protected landscape area Šumava and the third municipality located in the territory without special conservation. The theoretical part consists of facts from the literature on protected areas, especially national park and protected landscape areas and quality of life. The practical part of the objective was to compare the data selected villages a questionnaire aimed at residents view the presence of the village in a conservation area.

This dissertation is centered on the personality of Otokar Fischer and his relationship towards theatre and journalism. Important was his action in National Theatre and therefore one of the chapters is dedicated to it. Also cannot be missed Fischer' s individual dramatic output and his contributions to period journals, thanks to which he actively shares merits of modern culture creation since the first half of the 20th century.

The thesis deals with the first comlete presentation of Wagner´s opera cycle The Ring of the Nibelung in the National Theatre in Prague. It introducts the author´s life and his relation to Bohemia and Czech music. Further on it deals with the mythological theme of the Ring and philosophical reflections of its ending. The thesis culminates with analysis of each opera of the cycle presented in the National Theatre in Prague, evaluation of the production and its contribution to Czech culture.
