Detekce prvotních příznaků Alzheimerovy nemoci blízkou osobou nemocného / The detection of the first symptoms of Alzheimer's disease be the parient's close person.Krynská, Martina January 2015 (has links)
The dissertation thesis focuses on the topic of construction of new questionnaire, which is developed from four already existing questionnaires of activities of daily living. This new questionnaire summarizes strengths of those four and submits only those activities, which are affected at the early stage of Alzheimer's dementia. The topic is introduced in the broad context of social sciences, medical science and also submits the practical issues, considering effects of Alzheimer's disease to life of patient and his closest ones. New questionnaire, which is the result of empirical research, is based on correlation analysis of three commonly used screening cognitive tests and four questionnaires which evaluate activities of daily life, which are, used as best practice in the Counseling Center for Memory Disorders Clinic of Neurology of Faculty Hospital Kralovske Vinohrady in Prague. The research sample consists of patiens, who are affected with Alzheimer's disease already. That means, that the new questionnaire can be used as a tool for those, who are the patient's closest ones for purpose of screening and reviewing abilities of daily living over time. The questionnaire also presents comprehensively compiled a list of activities of daily living which Alzheimer's disease affects in early stage and this list...

Klinické a genetické prediktory lékové závislosti u idiopatických střevních zánětů / Clinical and genetic predictors of drug dependency in inflammatory bowel diseaseĎuricová, Dana January 2012 (has links)
IN ENGLISH Drug dependency in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), is a specific disease phenotype which determines disease prognosis and hence may be used as a prognostic marker for treatment management. Drug dependency in IBD has been well described in corticosteroid treatment and recently also in infliximab (IFX) therapy. The aims of this thesis were: 1) to assess the occurrence of IFX dependency in paediatric and adult patients with CD; further to search for clinical and genetic predictors of IFX outcome and to evaluate the impact of IFX dependency on surgical rate; 2) to assess in CD patients the outcome of the first course of 5-ASA monotherapy with emphasis on 5-ASA dependency and to define clinical predictors of 5-ASA treatment outcome. We found that 66% of children and 29% of adults with CD became IFX dependent. The high frequency in paediatrics is in agreement with previously published studies, while the finding in adult patients indicates a lower rate of IFX dependency in the only study to date. Perianal disease and no bowel surgery prior to IFX start were predicative of IFX dependency in paediatric patients. In adult cohort, 2 genetic variants LTA c.207 A>G and CASP9 c.93 C>T were associated with IFX outcome, whereas no relevant clinical...

Vlastnosti specifických protilátek prionových chorob a možnosti jejich využití / Specific prion protein antibodies characterisation and use in diagnosticŠafaříková, Eva January 2015 (has links)
Transmissive spongiform encephalopathies (TSEs) are neurodegenerative diseases characterized by depositions of abnormally folded prion protein (PrPTSE ) in brain. PrPTSE is at present the only specific biochemical marker of human and animal TSEs. Diagnostic tests are based on the detection of PrPres after proteinase K digestion of brain homogenate using Western blot or on the immunohistochemistry of fixed brain tissue, which are both difficult and time consuming. In this work we focused on development of a new type of tests based on PrP detection without need of proteinase K digestion. As deposits of PrPTSE remain in the body for a long time, there is a substantial chance of them being nonenzymatically modified by glycation. The detection of glycated PrPTSE may have a potential to serve as a diagnostic marker. We prepared monoclonal antibodies specific for carboxymethyl lysine/arginine modified prion protein. Bacterially expressed and purified recombinant human prion protein (rhPrP) was modified by glyoxylic acid that introduces carboxymethyl groups on lysine and arginine residues present within the molecule of the protein. Modified rhPrP (rhPrP-CML) was used for immunization of laboratory mice and hybridoma cells were prepared. Screening of cell supernatants resulted in the selection of 4...

Srovnání vybraných forem pastorace nemocných v nemocnicích v České republice / The Comparison of Sorted Forms of Pastoral Care of Ill People in the Hospitals in Czech RepublicJONÁŠOVÁ, Radka January 2008 (has links)
The work is engaged in pastoral care of ill people in the hospitals in Czech Republic. The theoretic part shows up the concept of illness, basic needs of ill people and the concept of pastoral care of ill people in the view of chosen authors. The practical part contains the comparison of two forms of pastoral care of ill people. It is the service of five pastoral assistants, who are exercising their service in hospitals, and the service of five priests, who are visiting hospitals within their service in parishes. The pastoral assistants work in hospital four up to eight hours a day during working days and they exercise the pastoral care in the form of accompanying of ill people {--} that means they are in a dialogue with ill people and they participate in their life situations. The priests visit hospitals mainly in order to sacrament dispense. By the confrontation of the service of both groups of persons involved in pastoral care of ill people with that, what chosen authors write about this service, appeared that only the pastoral assistants fulfil the intention of the pastoral care of ill people, that is the accompanying of ill people in their difficult situation of illness.

AIDS {--} NEMOC NEBO BOŽÍ TREST? / AIDS - a Disease or God´s Punishment?VOBORNÍKOVÁ, Daniela January 2010 (has links)
Present work deals with the solution of the strain between Jewish-Christian picture of good and loving God and a tragic reality of AIDS phenomenon. The work looks for answers to questions such as: Is a human being able to influence their health by an ethical way of life? To what extend are we responsible for our diseases and difficulties? Is a disease God´s punishment?{\crqq} What is (can be) the sense of a disease? How can we explain the suffering of the innocent? The work looks for the connections between a disease and a sin, between AIDS and an immoral life. The work presents the HIV/AIDS issue as a phenomenon concerning all people without a difference. It solves if it is possible to perceive AIDS as a kind of God punishment for sinful and immoral behaviour of people, as a consequence of structural maleficence or a personal carelessness of a human person. It points out the methods of primary prevention and reminds the task of a Christian to bring Christian values into a human society. The way out is found in the change of thinking and behaviour of people: in the appreciation and acquirement of ethical demands and opening to God blessing for the assumption of belief.

Etapy sociální práce s klientem s Alzheimrovou nemocí / Phases of social work with clients with Alzheimer's dinaseŠuláková, Dagmar January 2017 (has links)
In this thesis, "Stages of social work with clients with Alzheimer's disease", I focused on the analysis of the most effective stages of social work. I found out that most respondents prefer a domestic informal care, corresponding to the stages of provided social work and unconditional acceptance of the patient. The sick person requires a sensitive holistic approach, accepting his individuality and ensuring dignity in all stages of the disease. The thesis was structured on the theoretical part, based on the findings of scientific literature dealing with the symptomatology and processes of Alzheimer's disease, characterized by basic treatment and care approaches. The theoretical part is followed by an own joint investigation, divided in a qualitative and a quantitative approach. The qualitative approach is based on a detailed case study which uses the methods of observation and interviews. Anonymous questionnaires were used for the quantitative method. The obtained data were summarized and analyzed. Due to the lack of data I concluded that the considered results can be obtained as irrelevant.
