Η διπλωματική εργασία πραγματεύεται την διαχείριση των πληροφοριών που παρέχουν τα Κοινωνικά Δίκτυα, έχοντας ως αντικειμενικό σκοπό την εξοικείωση με την δημιουργία εφαρμογής στα πλαίσια μιας συγκεκριμένης υπηρεσίας Κοινωνικής Δικτύωσης, το Facebook. Γίνεται αναφορά γενικών πληροφοριών σχετικά με τα υπάρχοντα Κοινωνικά Δίκτυα και δίνεται ιδιαίτερη έμφαση σε θέματα ιδιωτικότητας και ασφάλειας των προσωπικών δεδομένων των χρηστών. Επιπρόσθετα αναλύεται μια συγκεκριμένη πλατφόρμα του Facebook, το DSL FAITH, που αποτελεί ενδιάμεσο στρώμα μεταξύ των εφαρμογών και του Facebook, και βοηθά τους χρήστες να αυξήσουν την ιδιωτικότητα των δεδομένων τους. Τέλος δημιουργήθηκε μια εφαρμογή στο περιβάλλον του Facebook, η οποία έχει ως αντικείμενο αφενός την βελτίωση των ρυθμίσεων ιδιωτικότητας των χρηστών, αφετέρου την διευκόλυνσή τους σε θέματα εμφάνισης των δεδομένων τους και η οποία ενσωματώθηκε στη πλατφόρμα DSL FAITH. / The diploma thesis deals with administration of social information provided by Social Networks and its objective goal is familiarization with development of an application within a particular Social Network service, Facebook. Reference is made to general Information about existing Social Networks and issues such as privacy and security of users’ personal data are emphasized. Additionally, a specific Facebook platform, DSL FAITH is analyzed. DSI FAITH is a middleware between applications and Facebook and assists users augment their privacy. Finally, a Facebook application called Facebook Privacy Wall is developed and integrated with DSL FAITH platform, which aims at improvement or users’ privacy adjustments and assistance in matters of data appearance.

Personlig kristen tro : Betydelse för beslut i S:ta Claras diakonala verksamhet / Personal Christian faith : Significance for decision making in S:ta Claras church's social work

Syftet med denna uppsats är att bättre förstå om och i så fall på vilket sätt kyrkans ledning tänker sig att deras personliga tro hade betydelse när de fattade beslut för utformningen av S:ta Claras verksamhet. Fyra beslutsområden har studerats. Två handlade om bön och två om val av plats för det utåtriktade sociala arbetet. Studien har genomförts utifrån elva kvalitativa intervjuer med individer som deltagit i beslutsfattandet inom de undersökta beslutsområdena. Resultaten från intervjuerna har analyserats med hjälp av en handlingsteori och två teoretiska resonemang. Slutsatserna har diskuterats och knutits till tidigare forskning. De är i korthet följande: Att personlig tro på ett objektivt, kausalt eller mätbart sätt skulle haft betydelse för de beslut som studerats går inte att säga utifrån denna studie. Informanterna uttalar för egen del att deras personliga tro haft betydelse för utformningen av praxis inom de fyra beslutsområden som studien omfattar. Besluten har påverkats av ett komplext samspel av beslutsfattarens värdemässiga och teoretiska antaganden i sin föreställningsvärld, i kombination med upplevelser av kyrkans organisationskultur och av verkliga situationer. Det samspelet omfattar, i denna studie, informanternas personliga föreställningar om bibeln och om delar av Sahlbergs forskning, det upplevda ”kallet” att leva ut sin tro i Clara, en önskan att sprida sin tro vidare samt tolkningar av verkliga situationer. Som avslutning framförs tanken att studien skulle kunna bidra till den epistemologiska kunskapskartan genom iakttagelsen att personlig tro inte är en oberoende beslutskomponent. Vid sidan av personlig tro redovisas i uppsatsen ett spektrum av andra faktorer som skulle kunna ha betydelse för beslut gällande diakonal praxis.

Para tanto, empregou-se a metodologia comparada, uma vez que a figura da responsabilidade pré-contratual é oriunda da Alemanha e lá também encontrou grande desenvolvimento. Como ponto de contraste, elegeu-se a análise do sistema jurídico inglês que, por conta de sua peculiaridade sistemática – common law – e por razões filosófico-econômicas não prevê a responsabilização por danos decorrentes do período negocial em uma figura unitária, tal como ocorre na Alemanha. No Brasil, a discussão centra-se na natureza jurídica e na divergência suscitada tanto pela doutrina quanto pela jurisprudência, fato de dificulta seu entendimento e impõe a superação de alguns conceitos clássicos, de modo a conformar o mundo jurídico à adequada proteção das relações sociais. Dessa forma, estribado na boa-fé objetiva, o Brasil desenvolve uma responsabilização pré-contratual distinta da Alemanha, com muitos traços de responsabilidade extracontratual. Espera-se, portanto, colaborar com o debate acerca de tão tumultuada figura que é a responsabilidade pré-contratual brasileira. / The objective of this study is to analyze the legal consequences of precontractual liability, especially those resulting from the rupture of negotiations. For this, the use of comparative methodology was employed, since the idea of precontractual responsibility comes from Germany and there found great development. As a point of contrast, we chose to analyze the English legal system which, because of its systematic peculiarity - common law - and for philosophical-economic reasons does not have a unitary remedy for damages stemming from liability on the negotiations period, such as occurs in Germany. In Brazil, the discussion focuses on the legal nature and divergence raised by both doctrine and jurisprudence, which makes difficult to understand the concept of precontractual liability and imposes the duty to overcome some classic concepts, in order to adapt the legal world to the adequate protection of social relations. Thus, based on objective good faith, Brazil develops a precontractual liability distinct from Germany, with many traits of extra-contractual liability. It is hoped, therefore, to cooperate with the debate about such a tumultuous solution which is the Brazilian precontractual liability.

The present work investigates the possibility of the development of a concept of christianity in the evolution of the works of the danish philosopher, especially his pseudonymous works. This project begins with a brief look at the life of Kierkegaard in order to carry out a dialectic analysis of the basic concepts of christianity in the pseudymous work of the author. The attempt to establish a dialogue between the religious conceptions of the pseudonyms throughout this dissertation precedes the analysis of the final criticism which Kierkegaard levies against the christianity of his country. What the project seeks to demonstrate is that Kierkegaard s conceptions of christianity are based, primarily, on the questions concerning the paradox permeats between the truth of the New Testament and the diminishment of authentic christian witness within danish christianity. / A filosofia da religião desenvolvida por Søren Kierkegaard apresenta uma indissociável relação com as questões que cerceiam o cristianismo, a saber, a consciência das condições do existir humano, as divergências com o sistema filosófico hegeliano e com a Igreja Estatal Luterana, representante da cristandade dinamarquesa. A presente pesquisa tem como propósito investigar a possibilidade do desenvolvimento de um conceito do cristianismo na evolução das obras do filósofo dinamarquês, sobretudo em suas obras pseudonímicas. A proposta tem como ponto de partida uma breve abordagem à vida de Kierkegaard para, subsequentemente, ser feita uma análise dialética de conceitos basilares do cristianismo em obras pseudonímicas do autor. A tentativa de estabelecer um diálogo entre as concepções religiosas dos pseudônimos no decorrer desta dissertação preludiam a análise da crítica final que Kierkegaard tece à cristandade de seu país. O que se procura demonstrar é que as concepções do autor acerca do cristianismo fundamentam-se, primordialmente, nos questionamentos acerca do paradoxo que perpassa pela verdade cristã neo-testamentária e pelo rareamento da autenticidade do cristianismo na cristandade dinamarquesa.

We chose to start from some texts of his maturity, especially Systematic Theology and the Dynamics of Faith, but dialoguing with other texts, including the German period. We seek to interpret the theme from an ontological-existential perspective, which means that faith is not treated only as a kind of knowledge, experience or belief, but as the state of the human being taken by a supreme concern. The risk, in this sense, can not also be referring to the contents of faith, but to this state of supreme concern. What leads us to propose, from the work of Tillich, that the risk is present and every act of faith, does not invalidate it, but forms part of its constitution. To assume faith is to take the risk it carries. As a means of developing this thesis, we think of a four-part structure. In the first (The Question of Faith in Tillich) we work on the concept of faith as a state of supreme concern. For this, we begin by discussing the problematization of faith in Tillich as a phenomenological question, then we try to establish the concept of faith as dependent on the concept of religion as the supreme concern. Finally, we present four themes that emerge from the understanding of faith as a state: the idea of faith as destiny, the idea of faith as experience, the relationship between the rational and the irrational, and, some distortions of the concept of faith. In the second part (The proper risk of faith) we try to present the notion of risk. We initially identify three places in Tillich's work in which the idea of risk is related to faith, then we present the ideas of frontier and ambiguities of life as close to the idea of risk. In the third part (Language and risk of faith) we present language as a place where risk penetrates faith, as a place that, because of its dynamic and historically situated character, makes it impossible for faith to be comprehended in an absolute way. For this, we begin by discussing the understanding of language in Aristotle and Heidegger as opposing paradigmatic models, and then, we present the discussion on language in Tillich as an alternative to the two, with emphasis on the symbol as the language of faith. In fourth part (The faith that takes the risk) we deal with the implications of assuming the risk as a constitutive element of the faith. We highlight three implications: the idea of truth of faith, the relationship between faith and doubt, and the relationship between doubt and courage. / O tema que tratamos é a relação entre fé e risco no pensamento de Paul Tillich. Optamos por partir de alguns textos de sua maturidade, especialmente a Teologia sistemática e a Dinâmica da fé, mas dialogando com outros textos, inclusive do período alemão. Procuramos interpretar o tema numa perspectiva ontológico-existencial, o que significa que a fé não é tratada somente como um tipo de conhecimento, experiência ou crença, mas como o estado do ser humano tomado por uma preocupação última. O risco, neste sentido, não pode também ser referente aos conteúdos da fé, mas a esse estado de preocupação última. O que nos leva a propor, a partir da obra de Tillich, que o risco está presente e cada ato de fé, não a invalida, antes faz parte de sua constituição. Assumir a fé é assumir o risco que ela carrega. Como um meio de desenvolvermos essa tese pensamos em uma estrutura dividida em quatro partes. Na primeira (A questão da fé em Tillich) trabalhamos o conceito de fé como estado de preocupação última. Na quanta parte (A fé que assume o risco) tratamos das implicações de se assumir o risco como elemento constitutivo da fé. Destacamos três implicações: a ideia de verdade da fé, a relação entre fé e dúvida e a relação entre dúvida e coragem.

THE IMPACT OF ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE ON COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE WITHIN A FAITH-BASED ORGANIZATION

This qualitative study investigated how the organizational culture at a small, non-profit, faith-based organization impacted communities of practice (CoP). The literature reviewed focuses on the following: faith-based, non-profit organizations, communities of practice and organizational culture. The study was situated in a small, non-profit, faith-based organization in Southern Illinois. The methodology of the study was an ethnographic informed design and the follow methods were used: participant observation, interviews, and document analysis. Wenger's (2004) social theory of learning informed this study. The purpose of the study was to describe: (a) how a small, non-profit, faith-based organization's culture fosters or hinders the development and growth of communities of practice (CoPs), (b) how the organizational members identify the existence of CoPs, and (d) what value the organization recognizes as a result of the knowledge shared. This is important not only to add to the literature concerning small, faith-based organizations and CoPs, but to help this organization and similar organizations understand the importance of learning that takes place as a result of organizational member's participation in CoPs. In light of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act (PWORA) of 1996, or more informally known as Charitable Choice (Thomas, 2009) and now the White House Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships (White House, 2009), the need to help these small, faith-based organizations is relevant. Part of helping the sustain themselves could be by enabling them to recognize the existence of CoPs within their organizations, and in turn helping them understand how to utilize CoPs to their benefit. The results of this study provide discussion around several findings. Findings revealed that there is a CoP in existence. Organizational members do recognize that they share a passion and come together as a group to work toward that passion, yet do not recognize the CoP as it is defined. Further findings provide understanding about how knowledge is shared and what knowledge is shared among organizational members that participate in the CoP. In addition, findings reveal that the organizational culture is aligned with the faith and values of the organization; that the culture does foster growth of CoPs in various ways, but does hinder the growth of CoPs through two barriers. There are several conclusions drawn from this study. First, that the staff is the central hub of communication flow between the internal organizational members Second, that learning is a heart thing, which is a metaphor used to describe the affective learning that takes place within the organization. Third, there is a strong relationship between the culture of the organization and the CoP. Fourth, that sharing, socializing and prayer time are tools used for social interaction among the staff and volunteers. Finally, that the framework of the social theory of learning is embedded with the community of practice identified at The Center. The recommendations include ideas for future research that could expand on the conclusions of this study. Additionally, it is recommended that the results of this study be shared and explained to the organization itself, as well as create ways of sharing the results with similar organizations. Sharing of this study would help such smaller, faith-based, non- profit organizations learn how recognize CoPs, understand how to build a culture within their organization that would foster CoPs, and help them learn how to utilize CoPs in a way that best utilizes their limited resources.

Geographies of faith, welfare and substance abuse : from neoliberalism to postsecular ethics

The increasing prominence of faith-based organisations (FBOs) in providing welfare in the UK has typically been regarded as a by-product of neoliberalism, as the gaps left by shrinking public service provision and the contracting out of service delivery have been filled by these and other Third Sector organisations. In this way, FBOs have been represented as merely being co-opted as inexpensive resource providers into the wider governmentalities of neoliberal politics – a process that allows a particular secularised form of religion in the public realm. In contrast FBOs working outside the financial and regulatory frameworks of government are understood to resist co-option and maintain the integrity a faith-motivated approach - an approach commonly assumed to be ideologically coercive and tainted by proselytising self-interest. This thesis challenges these conventional accounts of FBOs and the bifurcation of third sector welfare providers into “insiders” and “outsiders”. Drawing upon in-depth ethnographic research with FBOs providing drug rehabilitation services in the UK – and with the clients of these services – this thesis illustrates how neoliberalism can be co-constituted through the involvement of FBOs, which can offer various pathways of resistance in and through the pursuit of alternative philosophies of care and political activism. I critically question the difference faith makes in the processes of care and welfare in FBOs, critiquing the varied ethics of care derived in part from theological belief, and emphasise the relationships of care embodied and performed within organisational spaces as to complicate oversimplified stories of neoliberal co-option, proselytisation and social control. Equally, I argue that some accounts of secularisation of FBOs overlook a broader rapprochement between secular and faith-based ethical motivations, which can solicit new political and ethical spaces that run counter to, and sometimes actively resist, neoliberal (and religious) governmentalities. By drawing attention to the ethical agency of staff and clients in these spaces of care and regulation, this thesis paves the way for a more nuanced understanding of the geographies of faith, welfare and neoliberalism.

Theography and postsecular politics in the geographies of postchristendom communities

Studying the overlaps between religion and politics in human geography is no longer a niche pursuit. Now, a plethora of literature in the discipline covers various facets of the topic, analysing the role of religion in contexts ranging from welfare contracts to geopolitical imaginations. Furthermore, investigating the religion/politics interface has been enhanced in recent years by increasing theoretical innovation in religious geography, incorporating poststructural epistemologies into the subdiscipline. This shift has directed geographers to the fluid construction of practices and places through the everyday lives of religious subjects and communities. Despite these developments, I argue that studies at the religion/politics interface still lack an epistemology that can adequately comprehend emerging empirical work in geography and associated disciplines that highlights the blurring of religious praxis into activism. Geographers have rarely represented the mechanisms that produce the heterogeneity of religious involvement in politics, putting the new poststructural epistemologies in the subdiscipline to work by categorising religious subjects and communities as homogeneously progressive or regressive, or focussing instead on the affective atmospheres and internal dynamics of faith communities. In this thesis I argue that in order to understand religious involvement in activism, geographers of religion need to begin to blend poststructural epistemologies that attend to the everyday fluidity of religion with epistemological work on networks in activist geographies. This is necessary work because these two realms are beginning to intermingle on the ground, consequently highlighting the production of religious subjectivities between religious and activist practices. In response to this gap between theory and empirics, I turn my attention to faith communities that embody elements of a postchristendom ethos, flattening religious hierarchies, welcoming difference, and engaging beyond themselves through social justice activism. By addressing this context I can underscore the knowledges that geographies of the religion/politics interface have missed so far, examining the multiple factors at play in the formation of faith community raison d’êtres, the accommodation of difference in faith communities, and how religious subjects negotiate their praxis between religious and activist spaces. By drawing attention to these issues and developing an epistemology to deal with them, this thesis develops more nuanced ways of producing knowledge about religious subjectivities and communities as they relate to activism.

Competência comunicativa de futuros professores frente à diversidade religiosa na abordagem do tema "origens do universo" /

Para tanto, foi realizada uma entrevista com 9 (nove) licenciandos de um curso de Física, por meio da qual se buscou identificar, principalmente, a expectativa que tais professores demonstraram quanto à contribuição (ou não) do levantamento de tais modelos durante a aula por parte dos alunos. Para referenciar nossa discussão, adotamos as reflexões do filósofo alemão Jürgen Harbermas sobre o relacionamento político que deve regular as relações entre uma cultura secularista e as diversas culturas religiosas. Tivemos a oportunidade de constatar que todos os licenciados procuraram apresentar tolerância quanto às idéias religiosas dos alunos. Esta atitude de tolerância, entretanto, ainda não chega a constituir, na perspectiva de Habermas, uma atitude que promova uma busca conjunta de soluções para questões controversas da sociedade. Porém, para além dessa atitude de tolerância, mais da metade deles revelou acreditar que a manifestação dessas concepções poderia trazer contribuições para a discussão em sala de aula. Os resultados apontaram no sentido de que a utilização de práticas pedagógicas baseadas na comunicação, no questionamento e no diálogo, em disciplinas do curso de licenciatura concluído pelos futuros professores, tem gerado uma apropriação por parte dos licenciados destas práticas, e sua potencial aplicação posterior em outras situações e discussões, inclusive a inter-religiosa. / Abstract: This study aimed at investigating the positions taken by future teachers towards the non scientific models presented by students about the origins of the universe. In order to do that, an interview was conducted with 9 (nine) students of a physics teching training course. The study sought to identity, among other things, the expectation of those teachers about the contribution (or not) of the introduction of such models in classrooms. To orientate our discussion, we adopt a framework the ideas of German philosopher Jürgen Habermas on the political relationship that should govern relations between a naturalistic culture and different religious cultures. We were able to show that all future teachers have sought to show tolerance towards the religious ideas of the students. This attitude of tolerance, however, still no enough to constitute, in Habermas's view, an attitude that pomotes a joint search for solutions to controversial issues of society. However, beyond this attitude of tolerance, more than half of future teachers revealed believe that the manifestation of these concepts could bring contributions to the discussion in the classroom. The results pointed towards that the use of teaching practices, based on communication, questioning and dialogue in disciplines of the degree course completed by future teachers, has created in them an ownership of these practices and their potential appliction in other discussions, including inter-religious discussions. / Mestre

Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa e explorat?ria, que se ancorou na hist?ria oral como forma de traduzir o sentimento singular guardado na mem?ria dos participantes, em especial das benzedeiras. Os dados foram coletados a partir de um question?rio com quest?es semiestruturadas, cujas entrevistas foram gravadas e transcritas em igual teor. Os dados analisados, portanto, partiram da sensibilidade de cada entrevistado. Assim, foi poss?vel transformar os retalhos em ricos relatos que nortearam as reflex?es na tentativa de alcan?ar os objetivos da pesquisa. Como em toda pesquisa, os resultados alcan?ados nem sempre respondem prontamente ?s expectativas. Todavia, mesmo tendo alcan?ado resultados animadores e satisfat?rios, algumas frestas ainda permeiam o universo velado da ci?ncia e da cultura. / Disserta??o (Mestrado) ? Programa de P?s-gradua??o em Ensino em Sa?de, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2017. / This study originates from the intend to investigate the alternative therapeutic options known as Integrative Health Practices encouraged by the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as to come closer to cultures and practices underappreciated by the society in the globalized world that prevails over lifestyle, traditions and recklessly over people. Thus, the main purpose of this research was try to find out what the contributions of the faith healers were to the program Farmacia Viva, carried out in the district of Sao Sebasti?o das ?guas Claras ? Nova Lima/MG, if their knowledge and traditional folk practices regarding the medical science developed through medicinal plants were respected. This is a qualitative and exploratory research anchored in oral history as a means to express the singular feeling kept in the contributors memory, particularly the faith healers. The data were collected through a survey with semi-structured questions and had the interviews recorded and reproduced in equal content. Therefore, the analysed data stemmed from the sensitivity of each interviewed, making it possible to transform the fragments into a full reports that guided the reflections in the attempt to achieve the research goals. However, as in any research, the results achieved not necessarily respond to the question promptly. Given that, although encouraging and satisfactory results have been reached, some gaps still permeate the veiled universe of science and culture.
