Evoluční návrh využívající gramatickou evoluci / Evolutionary Design Using Grammatical Evolution

Repík, Tomáš January 2017 (has links)

The use of high-resolution photographs in the real estate practice.

Janů, Ondřej January 2013 (has links)
The aim of the work was to put together the list of possible ways to use high resolution image in real estate practice. Photographies are created by stitching more than one image on itself. Further on was developed methodology of working with these images and was made an illustration with detailed description of the procedure for each individual case. For each procedure were proposed possibilities in practical using. For the thesis purposes was conducted real estate and public survey. Based on results of the survey were purposed draft measures to improve internet real estate advertising.

Akcelerace heuristických metod diskrétní optimalizace na GPU / Acceleration of Discrete Optimization Heuristics Using GPU

Pecháček, Václav January 2012 (has links)
Thesis deals with discrete optimization problems. It focusses on faster ways to find good solutions by means of heuristics and parallel processing. Based on ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithm coupled with k-optimization local search approach, it aims at massively parallel computing on graphics processors provided by Nvidia CUDA platform. Well-known travelling salesman problem (TSP) is used as a case study. Solution is based on dividing task into subproblems using tour-based partitioning, parallel processing of distinct parts and their consecutive recombination. Provided parallel code can perform computation more than seventeen times faster than the sequential version.

Tour de France: Vliv geografických podmínek závodu a etap na výsledky nejlepších závodníků a jejich proměna v čase / Tour de France: The effects of the geographical features of the race and stages on the results of the best cyclists and their change over time

Fiala, Lukáš January 2020 (has links)
FIALA, L. (2020): Tour de France: The effects of the geographical features of the race and stages on the results of the best cyclists and their change over time. Diploma thesis, Prague: Charles University, Faculty of Science, 152 pp. The diploma thesis deals with Tour de France, a three-week bicycle race whose first edition was in 1903. The work's goal is to analyse the evolution of the most important cycling race in the world after the World War II in terms of its geographical features, which affect the performance of racers, and so to differentiate successful cyclists based on their qualities on one hand and identify those parts of the race (stages) that are crucial to success, on the other hand. Another goal of the thesis is to find out how the influence of geographical conditions on performance changes over time and whether and how the categories (types) of cyclist change in this context. The work is consisted into two parts: the theoretical-methodological part and the analysis of the subject of interest. The theoretical and methodological part is based on the approaches and knowledge of sport geography, while it is almost impossible to rely on real research publications devoting to cycling and stage races. The relevant literature dealing with stage races, the Grand Tour and especially the Tour...

Soffvisningar på Moderna Museet : Nya sätt att förmedla och betrakta konst i ett digitalt, interaktivt format via sociala medier / Sofa tours made by Moderna Museet : New ways of disseminating and viewing art using digital, interactive methods and social media

Nolin, Jenny January 2021 (has links)
This essay investigates live-streamed guided tours made by Moderna Museet, so called sofa tours, streamed between February 2020 and April 2021. The aim is to observe, describe and analyze the [Moderna Museet’s] sofa tours using a modality approach as well as relating the sofa tours to physical museum visits, using the concepts of media, mediation, remediation, immediacy and hypermediacy. The research questions concern ways of looking at art when participating in sofa tours and the differences compared to physically viewing art at the museum. In conclusion, the sofa tours made by Moderna Museet offers several alternatives to physical museum visits, not necessarily better or worse. Participants can actually modify their experience of participating in sofa tours and looking at art, for example by choosing to participate live or afterwards, with or without access to other participants comments, questions and reactions as well as choosing between using Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or the museum webpage to access the sofa tours. Comparing sofa tours to physical museum visits showed that both their principal function is to provide opportunities for people to view art together with other people, with or without the aid of a guide. However, most of the mediated space in the physical museum is unavailable to sofa tour participants. On the other hand, the sofa tour creates another set of unique mediations which do not exist in the physical museum space.

FIN-I : A utopian connection

Viglietti, Martina January 2023 (has links)
We live in a globalized world that is changing rapidly. We interconnect between cultures in different ways. But what if we want to go global with a performance to go around the world, without modifying the piece? Is that possible? How to be international but without losing the here and now by reading subtitles? The diversity of sounds when speaking on stage can embrace otherness, the audience's encounter with a language that may not be familiar to them. This is my journey through creating a play to broaden the audiences I can reach as much as possible.

The Portrait of Citizen Jean-Baptiste Belley, Ex-Representative of the Colonies by Anne-Louis Girodet Trioson: Hybridity, History Painting, and the Grand Tour

Collins, Megan Marie 21 March 2006 (has links) (PDF)
Anne-Louis Girodet Trioson's Portrait of C.[itizen] Jean-Baptiste Belley, ex-representative of the Colonies, is evidence of the changing ideological situation during the French Revolution. Girodet was one of the most learned and accomplished students of Jacques-Louis David who strove to surpass his teacher in two ways: 1) by painting David's Neoclassical style so well that his handling surpasses that of his master, and 2) by choosing subject matter never before explored by David. Girodet accomplishes both within this work. The Neoclassical handling of the image has been achieved with amazing clarity, and the central figure of an identified black man had never been displayed in the Salon previously. The work was without precedent and without progeny. It successfully transcends the boundaries of portraiture into the highest tier of the Academic hierarchy: History Painting. Lacking in the existing scholarship of this portrait as history painting is that the work is successful in fulfilling a didactic and moralizing function, bearing significance to the general public. Scholars have hitherto ignored the striking visual similarities between this and Grand Tour portraits of Englishmen earlier in the century. This portrait of Belley calls into question accepted post-colonial readings by not adhering to a strict Orientalist interpretation. His hybrid nature nullifies readings that he is merely a black man posed as a French one. Belley cannot be seen as simply African, nor Haitian, nor French, nor military man, nor politician; each of these aspects of his being add up to his individual identity. It was because of Belley's race that he was chosen for this portrait; his complex nature creates a dramatic painting relevant to varied members of the general public, his status as a black man allows for a politically relevant subject worthy of history painting, and the choice of Girodet's model of Grand Tour portraiture with its connotations of education, travel and social status—when applied to a black man—make this a revolutionary painting unparalleled in history.
