Determination Of Hydraulic Parameters Of Semi-infinite Aquifers Using Marquardt Algorithm

In this study, transmissivity and storage coefficient of a semi-infinite, confined, homogeneous and isotropic aquifer, where the flow is one-dimensional and linear, are determined using Marquardt algorithm, considering two independent cases: constant drawdown in the adjacent stream / or constant discharge from the aquifer due to pumping at a constant rate. In the first case piezometric head and discharge measurements are utilized. Hydraulic diffusivity, which is the ratio of transmissivity to storage coefficient, is determined from piezometric head measurements / whereas their product is determined from discharge measurements. Then, the two parameters are calculated easily. In the second case piezometric head observations are utilized only and transmissivity and storage coefficient are determined simultaneously. Convergence to true values is very fast for both cases even for poor initial estimates. Three examples, two using synthetic data for both cases and one using actual field data for the second case, are presented. Conventional type-curve matching method is used for comparison of the results. It is observed that the results of Marquardt algorithm are in a reasonable agreement with those of type-curve matching method.

In this master thesis an input-model of a Nordic BWR power plant has been developed in APROS. The plant model contains key systems and major thermohydraulic components of the steam cycle, including I&amp;C systems (i.e. power, pressure, level and flow controls). The plant model is primarily designed for balance of plant studies at discrete power levels. The input-model of the power plant focuses especially on the steam cycle which is crucial for analysing water and steam behaviour and its influence on the reactor power. At the current stage, the model primarily handles steady-state conditions of full-power operation, which has been the design point. It has also been shown that reduced-power operation can be simulated with a reasonable trendline of pressure and temperature progression over facility components. / Inom ramen för examensarbete har en indatafil (modell) av en nordisk kokvattenreaktor, BWR, utvecklats i simuleringsverktyget APROS. Anläggningsmodellen är främst utformad för att simulera diskreta effektnivåer och innehåller viktiga system och termohydrauliska komponenter som ingår i ångcykeln, inklusive instrumenterings- och kontrollutrustning (dvs. effekt-, tryck-, nivå- och flödesreglering). Fokus har lagts särskilt på att få till en bra representation av ångcykeln, vilket är avgörande för analys av vatten- och ångbeteendet och dess påverkan på reaktoreffekten. Modellen kan främst användas för simulering av jämviktstillstånd vid full effektdrift och till en viss grad även reducerad effektdrift.

電力用遮断器の油圧操作装置において,油圧回路内の気泡が操作装置の動作に及ぼす悪影響を解消するために,新しい油圧回路方式である常時高圧安定回路方式を提案し,油圧回路内の流れおよび可動部の定式化と解析および実測を行った.本方式の動作特性と動作安定性,ピストンの制動特性,複数の油圧操作装置の駆動特性について検討し,本方式が有効かつ安定的に機能することを確認した.以上により,油圧操作装置の動作時間安定化技術を開発することができた. / We proposed and studied a hydraulic operation stabilizing system for a hydraulic operating device of a circuit breaker to eliminate the influence of air bubbles created in hydraulic fluid. We formulated the flow of hydraulic circuit and the motion of moving parts, which were numerically simulated and experimentally confirmed. We confirmed that this stabilizing system functioned effectively and stably through the investigation: operation characteristics and stability of the stabilizing system, braking characteristics of a piston-dashpot system and operation characteristics of two hydraulic operating devices.
