Contribution au catalogage dynamique des manuscrits arabes anciens numérisés / Contribution to dynamic cataloguing of the old Arabic digitized-manuscripts

Soualah, Mohamed 27 November 2015 (has links)
Arabic manuscripts are a very important source of information. Three million of them are scattered throughout the world. Nowadays, a real awareness rises throughout the world to preserve the old manuscripts. Many digitization projects of old Arabic manuscripts were implemented. But, is this sufficient for the manuscripts preservation? The main goal is the massive diffusion of these resources, because nothing is better preserved than a shared resource. However, it is necessary to make them accessible.Libraries are the most suitable places for storing manuscripts. They have developed an interesting tool for the manuscripts online access: It is about a catalogue, a simple and intuitive user support.the whole of the manuscripts are listed throughout a non-standardized cataloging protocol, which differ from an institution to another, but most of them use standard entries like the "Author", "title" and "subject".The problematic is about finding a way how to help a cataloguer who struggle alone to catalog the manuscripts, which present several problems concerning their state and their calligraphy? Therefore, the answer will be about how to make it.Thus, first we are asked to find a best way to access images of the digitized Arabic manuscripts. Indeed, we can quote three methods to access digitized manuscripts:• The first one consists of accessing to manuscripts in image mode. This is done by images processing with using of suitable indexing tools.• The second one aim to fully convert the manuscript into a text mode, then the manuscript will be processed as textual document. Thus, the information retrieval will be used.• The third solution uses an effective library tool which is the catalogue. The principle of this solution is basic. First, the user makes his query to the catalogue. The latter displays the results, and then the user selects the suitable one.The goal of our research is not to make choice between these three methods to access to digitized manuscripts. Our objective is to use these methods, evaluate them in order to optimize the online access to digitized Arabic manuscripts......

Theurich, Stefan 06 July 2016 (has links) (PDF)
Anhand dieser wurde Umsetzbarkeit des Konzepts überprüft / Operating process plants goes along with different tasks, e. g. control and optimization of the production and maintaining availability of the plant. There are several subsections of operations who deal with the state of the plant and the processes it runs. They are all dependent on information which is gathered throughout the plant. Most of this data is acquired for the automatic control, regulation, and safety gear and is processed in real-time. Apparatuses and other equipment are usually not equipped with measurement devices which are dedicated to monitor their state. For being able to recognize specific quality attributes, states of the plant, or maintenance needs, the existing measurements have to be combined and condensed by calculations. This methodology can be split into the following steps: data acquisition, design of evaluation models, integration of these models, and assessment of findings including inferring actions. This thesis addresses software aspects of this methodology. It tries to answer the key question „How to build an infrastructure, which shall be based on common standard technologies, in which all steps to engineer equipment models may be automated?“ by proposing a concrete infrastructure. A technique has been designed to continuously acquire data for further processing in equipment models without any changes to existing systems. The process of design and implementation of equipment models has been supported by a purpose-built tool. This tool puts out the designed models in a uniform structure to allow uniform model integration. This integration has been automated using the plant’s engineering data. An execution platform has been developed based on open technologies. Infrastructure and model structure have been designed to easily integrate calculation results into standard tools for being able to use them in common work environments. It enables the different subsections of operations in a plant to apply generic equipment assessment models on concrete equipment instances. Using the output of the models, they shall be enabled to perform their task in an easier or better manner. The technical requirements and prerequisites have been analyzed. Using the resulting conclusions, a concept to integrate models has been developed and the options to automate it have been discussed. This concept has been implemented prototypically. This implementation includes a runtime component and two tools to support development of models and their instantiation. It has been used to prove the feasibility of the concept.

Profesionalizace respondentů ve výzkumných panelech: srovnání zkušených a nezkušených členů online panelu / Professional respondents in research panels: comparing trained and fresh members of an on-line panel

Vojtíšek, Jan January 2013 (has links)
Professional respondents in research panels: comparing trained and fresh members of an online panel The diploma thesis deals with the topic of changes in responding of research panel members, which are caused by their previous experience with research process. Various manifestations of this phenomenon, often labelled as the "panel conditioning effect", are described and supported by corresponding empirical evidence. The observations of panel conditioning effect come from longitudinal panel design as well as online access panels. The author proposes logically structured differentiation of the effect. Based on this categorization, several hypotheses about the differences between trained and fresh members of an Internet panel are raised and tested in dedicated online research. The results reveal significant differences between recently-registered and long-term members of the panel, both in their response strategies and in demographic structure of the groups. Yet the overall outcome do not indicate, that interviewing trained respondents would necessarily lead to lower-quality data.
