Kumpulainen, Andreas January 2022 (has links)
In this article, I will go through how to go about conveying personality to non-living objects using 3D-animation. The purpose of the article is to get a better understanding of animation and to make 3D-objects feel alive by giving them a personality conveyed by animation. This article should be seen as a first step for those who are interested in animation and want to learn more about how to convey personalities to different characters through animation. The way I have chosen to go with this study is to make a short film where the character you follow is a flour bag who tries to overcome his fear of heights with the help of his friend who cheers for him. What I hope with my research is to encourage people who are interested in animation, but who have no basis in the subject or do not dare to take the first step, to make their first animation. Personalities in characters are an important part of the gaming industry and the film industry. Without personalities, it will be difficult for users to be invested in what is conveyed. The result will go deeper into how to convey personality through emotions as well about an interview with an animator to get insight in the gaming industry.

Milevsko. Dějiny, osobnosti, památky / Milevsko. Its history, personalities and historical monuments

DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Lenka January 2011 (has links)
The diploma thesis, entitled ?Milevsko. Its history, personalities and historical monuments?, is concerned with a South Bohemian town situated between Tábor and Písek, which is, unfortunately, quite neglected. It outlines the history of Milevsko from prehistory up to the present with respect to the latest research. More attention is paid to the foundation of Milevsko in the twelfth century and the Premonstratensian Monastery because it?s a national cultural monument which has a great importance for the town. The Thesis includes even other historical monuments and attractions which deserve attention. All accessible information about their origin, development, present condition and purpose are compiled in appropriate passages. Both cultural heritage of the town and contemporary relationship of town representatives to this heritage and their effort to restore and preserve it is presented on the basis of bibliography. The other part of the Thesis deals with famous and, till this time, not so famous personalities from this region. Information is obtained from witnesses to history and thanks to their witness it was possible to get less known or unpublished information. More attention was paid to famous personalities, with no monographs so far, because their benefit and importance in various fields are necessary to present and highlight.

Clermont, Patricia 12 1900 (has links)
This thesis proposes an approach of the mémoriel which questions the production of memory in its processual character. It has three main features. First, it focuses on a plurality of times involved in the production of memory (but also the establishment of local communities and the production of their continuities). It also places the processes of representation at the heart of its questionings - in particular, it emphasizes the ways in which memory is constituted by representation (instead of examining the ways in which memory is represented). Finally, it questions the ways in which the production of memory contributes to circumscribe, to maintain and to make communities, and what forms of collectivization are realized in this respect. The first chapter outlines this approach to memory in contrast with a presentation of three major families of approaches - approaches to collective memory, approaches of cultural memory and presentist approaches – which apprehend memory as a construct. It also explains how I put the mémoriel to good use in a surface analysis which captures the constitution of representations by which the former hockey player Maurice Richard and the former host and television writer Janette Bertrand are established as public figures, through technologies and figures of public individuality which bring them into being in singular ways. In this perspective, I present, in the second chapter, an analysis of the constitution of Maurice Richard as a hero, and in the third, an analysis of the constitution of Janette Bertrand as a pioneer. In the fourth and final chapter, I notice in particular the effectiveness of the respective technologies and processes of representation by which these public personalities are established. I also bring to light that these technologies and the elements which they produce, run through and put into relation are constantly apprehensible in the singularity of their meetings. I then conclude by outlining the manner in which my approach of the mémoriel contributes to memory studies, a field which is the object of an increasing disciplinarization.
